I am so glad this place is back to what it is. Post-covid they tried just being a deli and a grocers and the whole of lutterworth missed it. There is nowhere else for us that matches it. The food today was as good as ever, the ultimate breakfast sandwich defeated both that attempted it and we spent a few bob after browsing the fine foods shelf. We've missed you guys and whenever we are back I'm the area we love a quick visit. We did have to wait a little today (which we were warned to be fair). Negative for me today , my latte was with not particularly nice coffee and had quite an amount of coffee grounds in the bottom. This will definitely not stop us from revisiting

Have been three times now and the quality of food and service has been consistently excellent each time. Highly recommended.

We had a stopover on our way north. I had insisted on not going to a service station so we left the motorway at Lutterworth just because it was about the right time for a little lunch. I am glad we did because Lane’s is a little gem. The sandwiches were really tasty, as was the home made soup. The deli part was also nice and we bought a few things to take with us. We will certainly stop here again on our next trip north.

The food was lovely, we had eggs benedict, cooked to perfection and served well presented. polite and professional staff. The place is very clean and sells a unique variety of jams, preserves, pickles and other goods, lovely place to visit.

Best Breakfast around Voted the countries 17th best Deli in The Times. High quality fresh cooked food. Perfect poached eggs, tomatoes mushrooms, sausages bacon with toasted sourdough. Outstanding

Well worth a visit! We went for meze on Friday evening and Steve had messaged asking if we would like the valentines deal - yes please! Yummy nibbles and welcome drink, fabulous mixed meze with plenty of cold meats, cheese, bread etc and a delicious chocolate brownie with raspberries. Great value and a lovely atmosphere. Only a few tables so make sure you book.

Always amazing produce available. Went for an evening meal and it was very delicious and adjusted to meet our dietary needs. Would recommend to anyone needing some food quality food for home, or for a delicious meal out (the filled focaccia at lunch time is incredible).

Lanes have returned, to providing their cafe come Deli. I’m a few weeks late in having Breakfast after the re opening of the Cafe but true to their previous high standards the Breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. If you can get in go treat yourself.

A bit of razzamatazz on the High Street - and I don't mean Sir Len: foreign beer, polite and courteous staff and enough of a buzz to come back.

Breakfast with friends on a Thursday morning, very pleasant atmosphere, food very good, wide choice of breakfast- my eggs benedict royale was lovely. Only problem no menus online to give an idea what they offer. Two days earlier I was here with a group for a Christmas evening meal - evening opening is only for pre-booked groups. We had cheese and meat sharing platters showcasing the products goat Lane’s sell. Gorgeous bread and crackers, a glass of wine and a piece of Brownie, for a set price. We all sat around a big table and as we had the place to ourselves it was a lovely way to spend the evening and have a light “Christmas meal” instead of the usual fare. Excellent

Stopped here for a lunch and thoroughly recommend it. Good home made or locally sourced food with a large selection of interesting and tasty chutneys, pickles and condiments.

I had never heard of this place. We met up there with others and we were really surprised by the food quality, friendly service and value for money. Nothing tastes as good as freshly cooked food and the bread was still warm! Lots of local produce available to but too.

This is a fantastic little deli / tea room Home cooked delicatessen with the option to buy some excellent local produce as well We really enjoy coming here for lunch

Walk to the counter and peer through the glass into the world of fresh Mediterranean produce. Lanes Deli & Fine Foods offers a delicious range of cheeses, fine meats, deli veg, fresh breads and hot drinks. The choice of meals ranges from British breakfast and lunch staples to more Mediterranean offerings. My continental style cheese and deli veg lunch was delicious. The staff were so helpful, assisting me with choosing the perfect dish for my disposition. They were so welcoming, chatty and down to earth. A happy team, providing a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere within which to enjoy food and hot beverages crafted with care.

An absolute gem of a place. Pretty deli (in a very pretty town) and this is the standout food option. We arrived for a coffee, stayed for some delicious home-baking, and then inspired by the food on offer we took one of the pretty tables in the sunshine outside and ended up staying for lunch. A greta menu and we could have had anything from it, but opted for the fabulous sharing board. Great charcuterie, interesting local cheeses, delicious bread. All washed down with fabulous wine. And just the loveliest, friendliest service from a friendly team. Owner Steve has built a great team and a great deli. We had never been to Lutterworth before but you should go, and if you do you should absolutely go to Lane's. A gem of a place

Steve put on a great evening the other Saturday in celebration of my 50th birthday with family and friends at our local Deli. Great atmosphere, great food with Steve going the extra mile to cater for everyone's tastes. Thank you for making the evening enjoyable for everyone. Karen

I treated my family to lunch here and we weren't disappointed. The staff were helpful and friendly, there was a good choice for all our different tastes. I had quiche and salad, one grandaughter had a ham sandwich, which was brimming with ham, the other had chicken toasted sandwich as did my son-in-law. There wasn't a crumb left on the plate! My daughter had the salad- it was so fresh. We would have liked a cake but left that to savour for another day. We're looking forward to going again soon.

It was the first time we’d tried this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed.Brie and bacon panini was great.Had my two granddaughters with me and they were very accommodating, making the sandwiches that they asked for. Beautiful soft, tasty bread.Will most definitely be calling there again when we’re next that way.

Been meaning to try Lane’s for a few months, so arrived in Lutterworth early for hair appointment. Was not disappointed, had delicious poached eggs, avocado & smoked salmon accompanied with v hot Americano. Will be back v soon, keep up good work 😃

Oh dear, go regularly here but today Had to send coffee back as was Luke warm and definitely not a flat white, spilled all down side of cup, panini not upto standard! Customers coming in and no one to serve them. One person taking take away over road, other person going over road to butchers! No apology for first coffee, just said milk was fresh this morning! Trying to juggle too many balls in the air we think. Waited ages to pay bill.

Thank you to Steve and staff at Lanes for a wonderful evening for my friends baby shower. Steve held a private function for us on Friday evening, he catered for 17 of us and did it fabulously. The food was delicious and presented beautifully, the drinks selection is great, and most of all Steve is so welcoming and accommodating. The organisation and flow of the evening was perfect. As a little extra note, I regularly enjoy take away lunches from the deli which the staff deliver up to my work place just up the road... salads, sandwiches and sometimes even a cooked breakfast! What more could you ask for?! Thank you guys! Holli x

Since my first review just after Lanes opened we have become regulars, the standards have been maintained, service is good, the welcome genuine, the food is excellent and the range of products is wide and good quality.

Lovely venue although small. Great food although I’m not a fan of smoked bacon but many are. Nice selection and well presented.

Popped in here at lunchtime for a snack and coffee.Nice surroundings and friendly staff.Cappuccinos were spot on.Quiche was very nice too.This was our 1st visit here.Certainly wont be the last.

Been to Lanes a few times. Always excellent. Highly recommended. There are car parks locally although this is on the main drag.

A lovely place to eat and relax. Great food and staff who are very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It's well worth a visit even if you would just like a drink. Lorrette

We came across this place as we diverted into Lutterworth to find a breakfast.

I stopped here for coffee and piece of cake. The coffee was a bit watery but the cake was first class. There was a fairly good atmosphere and the road outside is not over busy.

Fantastic deli-cafe serving home-cooked food, sandwiches and coffee. Shop stocks a range of fine foods, cheeses and continental meats. Stays open late on Friday evenings to serve a glass of wine and food: try the beef bourguignon or a mixed platter for a great treat! Available for private functions. Well recommended. Shop local!!!!

First visit - breakfast served with a warm friendly welcome, really nice coffee, perfect poached eggs and a delicious sausage sandwich with a poached egg on side in a little dish - both practical and appealing. Eggs Benedict way above the average.

Had our 2nd visit to Lanes deli on Saturday and it didn’t disappoint. A wonderful deli with about half a dozen tables but all occupied. Had the meat and cheese platter again as we enjoyed it so much last time along with fresh warm bread and oatcakes, grapes and two different chutneys. A lovely bottle of Rioja was a wonderful accompiament. It is obvious that Steve the owner is passionate about his business and customers and had no qualms accommodating our 22month old grandson who enjoyed his meatballs with butter beans and a handful of olives (he likes fine foods too! ). Although not tried the cakes and pastries look very good. Will definitely be back when visiting our family again.

I saw the Eggs Benedict profiled on Facebook so as soon as I had the opportunity I went straight there to try it out and was not disappointed. I start work early so the opening time of 0800am was a plus and the breakfast was second to none. All washed down with two cups of really good coffee and for just over a tenner I was very impressed. I will be back - thanks so much.

I have been to this deli many times for lunch or a coffee, so when meeting up with some good friends, we decided to go on a Friday evening for their “sharing platter” it was lovely. We ordered olives to nibble on, had a meat platter and a cheese platter between the 4 of us, it was served with some lovely fresh focaccia bread. Steve the owner suggested some wine to go with it and we had a great evening, good friends, good food and good wine all at a reasonable cost what more could you ask for. Will definitely be going back

Becoming a regular visitor to this delightful place! Can recommend everything I’ve tried so far - sharing platters on Fri or Sat eve with a bottle of wine, lunchtime sandwiches, their new breakfast menu - the avocado with poached eggs and bacon are delicious! Great range of cheeses and meats, all served by pleasant and knowledgeable staff.

Found the lovely independent Lanes deli on Lutterworth High street for Saturday lunch. We had a cured meat platter to share, a glass of prosecco & orange juice. The staff are warm, welcoming & very friendly. There is a good range of food both on the breakfast & lunch menu's, which are very fairly priced. There is also a nice range of cakes, we purchased some cannoli's to take away. Overall a great place for breakfast, lunch or just coffee & cake.

Popped in on Saturday morning for a breakfast for two, I had the eggs benedict and have to say I've never tasted better the good lady had poached egg on sourdough with bacon and again it was really tasty fresh food. Washed down with a fresh orange juice a lovely way to start the day. Nice friendly atmosphere and such great value too. We'll be back again soon.

As asset to lutterworth. lovely deli and a great place to go for a treat. I went with a friend, the coffee is amazing and the olives are to die for. Would recommend for a treat.

We have been regular visitors to Lanes since it opened and have enjoyed the variety of products and meals offered , we visited on Saturday morning for breakfast and we were not disappointed! The Eggs Benedict and the avocado and poached egg with bacon on sourdough was outstanding! It’s not the biggest place in Lutterworth but the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the products and the food is delicious! It’s a real addition to Lutterworth serving an alternative to the usual offerings

Went in on the off chance for Lunch and a coffee. (Brilliant sandwiches and coffee) Also came away with homemade sausage Rolls and a quiche! Is now a regular haunt.

We heard about this little place in a free local booklet and decided to visit for breakfast on a Friday morning for breakfast.

A wonderful evening with friends, celebrating my wife’s birthday. Fantastic ingredients,Great platters,good selection of wine and local beers,great informal friendly service,great company a perfect evening.

Only dropped in for drinks and a snack to check out this little deli and without a doubt, we will be back! Service, prices and most of all the food and drinks were excellent. Fresh focaccia and tasty bacon, delicious.

We often meet at different venues in Leicestershire for breakfast. However, the bespoke, mouth-wateringly delicious food we were served in this delightful little Lutterworth Delhi was the BEST we have ever had. A combination of delicious coffee, quality produce that was beautifully cooked, along with friendly, prompt service made this memorable for all the right reasons. The eggs Benedict was the best we have ever tasted.

Lanes has become our regular Saturday morning Coffee call. Lovely staff, very attentive, Excellent choice of freshly prepared sandwiches. Excellent choice on Deli counter. Very highly recommended.

Having been in many times since the Lanes has opened for Coffee and treats we thought we would give the Friday night platter a try! The service and the food was fantastic we both had the meat and cheese platter very tasty with a lovely bottle of wine!

Popped in at lunchtime to get a takeaway sandwich. Price of £3.50 was reasonable. Fresh bread, ham cut in front of you, mature cheddar and an onion chutney. Spot on and not a lot more than a supermarket sandwich. Well worth a try if passing. A can of San Pellegrino was also less than what you pay in a supermarket!

Excellent meat and cheese platter with wine to share with friends; very tasty! Attentive service from Steve. Highly recommend for an evening out. Looking forward to returning sometime soon.

Delightful lunch, I have been to this place 5 or 6 times and it is always good, the Spanish Tortilla and Serrano Ham special is delicious, the coffee and the sweet treats are always good, what’s not to like!

Delicious choice of charcuterie and excellent cheeses enjoyed this evening when we had a sharing platter for supper from this lovely new deli. Topped off with a superb rioja, it made a change to have a light bite here instead of a full-on dinner somewhere (although we probably stuffed our faces with just as much food in the end!) I’m sure we’ll be back, thanks for your hospitality

First time here and we will be coming back. We had a light lunch and coffee and I have to say I cannot remember when I have had a sandwich that tasted that good. Very nice coffee as well. Recommended

I have eaten here a couple of times & the food is superb. Local fresh food served from the deli. Something new to try served in a very friendly atmosphere. Licensed as well so if you fancy a glass of wine with your meal it’s not a problem. If the chocolate torte is on it is one of the best I have tasted in a long time.
