For the price, the food was lovely enjoyed every bit of it

Plenty of space to sit, typical English pub. Friendly staff ready/happy to serve Why 3 - (not so well maintained .. ) Thought of opening the window curtain ... behind the curtain its all filled up with algae/mould... Toilets - not clean

I was here on my trip to the UK last week, and let me tell you, I got deja vu from this place. It reminded me of the Vanilla Unicorn from my favourite game GTA.

Attended with family for lunch, we all enjoyed the fantastic food. Bar staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place highly to friends and family, haven’t had any trouble visiting here thus far.

Visited for a quick drink and some food with my wife and saw karaoke advertised. What a great evening we had! The atmosphere was fantastic, we ended up staying till the end of the night and it did not disappoint.

Amazing food and amazing service, took our children with us and our dog, lovely clean pub with a lovely atmosphere, the kids meals are extra value for money as they are not your usual tiny portions :)

We had a lovely dinner and pleasant time here with family. Would recommend the food and staff are really lovely too. We will be back again, thank you for a lovely time!

The place is falling apart, needs money to be spent on it, many people are starting to drink elsewhere, shame on the brewery as this could be a great public house, water comes through ceiling, paper hanging off , check it out .

Great venue for a nice cold pint and value for money, tasty food. The staff are very friendly, plenty of large screen TVs to watch whatever sporting event may be on and, best of all, it's dog friendly 🐶

This is now the frequent place we go, have taken family and friends and have never had a complaint. Food is always great, staff helpful and value is great. I definitely recommend trying this place out.

Unicorn such a nice place to spend sometime with friends or family for couple of drinks. They have a live streaming here. On match day it will be like OMG. If ur not fan of watching live streaming. You have a place outside where you can relax in fresh air and have drinks. Coming to kitchen service iths pathetic. They can't supply as per demand. It happened thrice with me whenever order food they say kitchen closed or the person inside kitchen is irritating. But the ambience and space in the unicorn is superb. Go for only drinks 😜 not for food. Drink service is awesome they are fast enough. Food service pathetic.

Unexpected visit to this pub. The recommended by the waitress red wine was so so, but the pub had a homely feeling. Their staff was super friendly, especially the young male behind the bar. They were open on a usual Monday :)

Totally good food friendly service and atmosphere

Visited today and had a superb fish & chip lunch. Great value for the price. We may be returning this evening for your live entertainment, thank you for making our visit enjoyable once again.

This pub requires some TLC. The seating is awkward, the pool tables are worn and the TV’s are not clear. Drinks are however very reasonable so if you are looking for something affordable it’s worth a visit.

Pub is amazing had some lovely food whilst watching football all friendly stuff would defo come again and would recommend to friends

The pub is easy to get to and also the staff I would say are really welcoming the food is extremely good and reasonably priced one of the main benefits is that they have pool tables.

Banging Grub , took the Family for a meal and food was unreal was served by a young lad called Charlie I think ( although I heard someone called him Dobbin must be a nick name) really helpful with allergies on the menu ..... we look forward to coming back.

SKY Sports BT Sports for all the football. A good choice is available, including, Light Ale for those of us who enjoy a Light & Lager. Not every pub stocks Light Ale but the Unicorn is a pub that values its customers!

A Great pub in the heart of St Albans City. Live entertainment at weekends, pool table and dart board available for everyone to use and a great sized garden which is family friendly. Reasonable priced drinks and food available.

I had a party here for my 60th birthday on 27th December 2021 which was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff worked so hard, they were brilliant. The food was lovely and everyone had such a fabulous time.

You can have a good, calm nd relaxing time in here. Great for couples nd friends.

This pub is just so good. It's hard to say that these days! It's a nice, non mainstream pub that has a warm, friendly atmosphere and great staff who are more than welcoming and polite. It's filled with friendly local people who are always up for a chat! The Unicorn has been open for years. I personally use to go there alot in my early 20s but now, around 15 years later. It's just as good. Great food. Pool tables and a big screen with a fantastic choice of beers on tap and bottles all reasonably priced!! Wouldn't change a thing!

Nice chilled place, good drinks and descent prices. A couple of pool tables... All you need for a nice chill at the end of the week.

This is a fantastic pub in every respect, best pub by a country mile, excellent beer, food, staff, management & atmosphere. really cannot fault it, well worth a visit.

Always a friendly welcome, we visit daily to enjoy the chat with friends. Efficiently run pub with a well kept cellar, IPA always at a good standard.

Really nice staff Penny was very helpful and vet professional. Management was also very good and welcoming. Through COVID times been very though. But a really nice place to eat and drink. Would definitely go back.

First time coming to the unicorn pub in Ilford and I can promise I would be back☺️ Food was nice but the service I received was outstanding especially with all the COVID-19 stuff going on I was greeted at the door and straight away and was talked to about how everything running.I was served by Jessica

We stopped in for a quick break after a long drive, the staff were helpful, with a smile and friendly service. I personally appreciated the stringent following of coronavirus social distance guidelines, it meant we could safely relax in a new place.

Location wise and cleaning 3 stars Customer service 👎 I've been there with my wife to have a drink and dinner waiting time for 2 meals was more than 30 minutes we have received our food cold 🥶 the fries 🍟 was soggy and they had a rancid taste We received our bill without asking for it Not being locals in that pub I've told im not welcomed having the bill without asking for Overall I won't recommend this place to anyone Cold food untrained staff very long waiting time

Have visited this pub a few times now. On each visit I have found the staff to be polite, prompt and helpful. For pub style food, it is excellent with good portion sizes and very reasonably priced. The place seems to be very clean and has a friendly atmosphere. I enjoy visiting this place and would highly recommend it. There is a large outside seating area which has been really great during the hot weather. I did observe that they’re taking seriously and adhering strictly to the COVID restrictions (being on the vulnerable list this is of great importance to me!).

We have been an infrequent visitor to the Unicorn, but since the pubs reopened we have been going on a regular basis. They are very Covid aware. We have had to sign in each time and be directed to tables etc. We have chosen to sit outside many a time and feel very confident with the current situation. Food has been delicious too. I recommend visiting if you need to feel safe. Enjoy.

Had a lovely evening at the Unicorn the staff were friendly and the landlady was very welcoming and hospitable . It was good to see that all the government guidelines were followed . Would definitely recommend it if you are ever in the area .

Awlful pub bad food, unfriendly manager.Tables are too close together in the garden so not in my view safe in light of covid 19. waited to be served for ages and when food turned up it was cold.The manageress sat sitting in the garden talking to men and seem to leave the staff to their own devices.

We went to the Unicorn for the first time on Sunday. We had heard mixed reviews but we are glad we didn't listen. We had a lovely evening and chatted to the landlady who help us figure out the app and was always on hand to answer anyones questions. All the safety measures in place did makes us feel at ease and still in a sociable and relaxed environment with great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Went with a friend on Saturday evening for food and drinks. . The rules about social distancing were not explained . The table service was very confusing, extremely slow and frustrating. More qualified staff need to be on shift for such a busy night . Hopefully things will improve in time before customers go elsewhere

Absolutely amazing post lockdown. From check in The in front staff are very friendly No waiting Table service is absolutely marvellous Nothing like getting a beer and a smile I would thoroughly recommend an afternoon/evening at the unicorn 5 stars in my book

Wouldn't even bother coming, the service is awful, they would serve everyone that was sitting around us, but always walked straight past us. Waiting 10ninutes for a drink eventhough they were taking orders from the table next to us 5minutes after we orderd

Lovely pub, very friendly staff

It is a very nice local bar which serves nice bar food. Big screens are a plus if you are a sport enthusiast and attracts nice and friendly crowd.

Only been here twice, once as a family and the second time just me and the Mr. Ate on both occasions, the food was delicious and came out hot. Friendly atmosphere; both staff and customers were lovely. Clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend!
