Really nice Naan wraps! The coffee is slightly on the small side and coffee in a glass just seems unnecessary, I don't like the idea....nothing beats a proper size mug of coffee.

Liiiisssssten, this cafe right here is a must try. If you are OK with nuts, go for the pistachio latte. I had it with oat milk 😋. We ordered the bacon and egg with mushroom wrap...absolutely succulent. The sausages are tasty too. They also do vegan breakfast.

Really disappointing experience. Been here twice, the first time we experienced really slow and poor service, but it looked like that maybe they were understaffed that day, but the food was very good. So we decided to give it a second chance and well it went terribly. Again, incredibly slow service - we ordered drinks as soon as we sat down, and it took ages for our one coffee and a bottle of juice. We then placed our food order and waited a long time... No one came to check on us, or communicate. I ended up having to go to the counter to ask for water and order a second coffee. It was after this we were informed that "the kitchen lost our food order" - but the waiter couldn't even tell us our order meaning in reality they never even sent it to the kitchen. Absolutely devastating, the food is nice, but they can't get the basics down - a real shame, would not recommend.

Love the coffee and the interesting food options. Only downside for me is the lack of cheaper menu dishes.

This is the best cafe in London. Amazing food. Amazing coffee and amazing friendly staff. The Turkish eggs and Nonna’s baked eggs are to die for. Treat yourself to a Parmesan hash brown as well you won’t regret it.

Best breakfast I've had in ages. The bacon naan was AMAZING and even though the cafe was really busy, the servers were fantastic.

This review is well overdue, but life's been a lot lately. I came in a couple of months ago whilst having a really rough time. Not only was my order really good but the waitress, Gemma, took care of my order as she could see I wasn't okay, and she even gave me a hug. I will never, ever, forget her kindness. It came at a time when I needed it the most. Highly recommend Bare Brew!

Impeccable service and great food with vegan options

I’ve been hear a couple of times and I can understand why it’s so busy. The naan wraps are so amazing, but nothing compares to the pistachio lattes they make either hot or cold. Every time I can find the time I try to come here, one of the best places to go in the area.

Great place to have a quick coffee or lunch. Staff are pleasant. The bacon naan is a gastronomic delight. Recommend the hot chocolate. Perhaps a little dark and seating a little uncomfortable. Ban on laptops is heavenly. Toilets untested. Recommended.

Absolutely lovely place with amazing employees and owner Naan with mushrooms and bacon was amazing because of the tomato chilli jam made in house by to cook All the drinks were made by a very nice lady loving her job (this might be the reason why the drinks were 13/10) Coming again 🔜 Update after six days: I’ve been coming here everyday since we arrived in London and this is my experience: Toilets always clean and it has a nice smell Staff very kind Owners very kind They’ve got an Italian cook doing an amazing job in the kitchen and he is also very kind So far the best place to have some brunch and drinks

Excellent birthday brunch for our daughter. Staff were really excellent. Took the birthday cake in the day before and they brought out for us and sang happy birthday. Food was great as always. Would recommend - prosecco, champagne and cocktails available alongside the usual hot drinks etc. Lovely event.

Not from the area but 100% amazing coffee. Have worked in Wanstead a couple of weeks but if I’m ever up this way again then definitely my number one choice for coffee. Staff a friendly and I know I would be here every day for a coffee if I could

Really nice place for brunch/breakfast. It's just a touch on the expensive side, but you can tell the cooking is better than your average brunch place, so justifiable. One to treat yourself with than a regular outing.

Been here a couple of times and always had to wait (a short while) for a table. The vegan breakfast naan is awesome. Nonna's baked eggs, not so amazing, being a little bland.

Quite a sickly breakfast, I asked for little chilli jam but the item was drenched in it. The mushrooms were really chunky and hard. Really didjt enjoy this breakfast at all plus took forever to arrive

An absolute gem on Wanstead High Street. Welcoming atmosphere, cheerful decor, great hot food, coffees and smoothies, and always an array of cakes and bakes. Regular taco and margarita nights are a local highlight and always well-attended (note walk-in only, no pre-booking so arrive promptly or be prepared to queue.)

Hard to find a coffee shop that gets it right, the food/drink is delicious, service is excellent, so friendly and lovely atmosphere in there, it’s my new favourite brunch spot.

Every so often I find myself in leafy Wanstead, and when I do, I'll stick the wagon on the double yellows, beacons and hazards on, and grab myself a good oaty flat from one of the wonderful ladies in Bare Brew. Top notch!

I have been a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. The coffee is always excellent (which is hard to find!) and although it isn’t a huge place they always do their best to fit you in and accommodate little ones! The menu is one side of A5 (quality over quantity) The food is excellent and there is always something there for everyone - children, adults and a range of dietary requirements are accommodated well. There is rarely a wait for food and the service is friendly and warm - always! It is a little more expensive than other places on the high street and more of a special treat for us. A must visit for me when in Wanstead and hands down the best cafe on a very cafe-filled high street.

Handy location, warm and cozy place with good music and vibes, friendly and attentive service. Most of all, food and drink selection is great. Try Mexican Bloody Maria,won t be disappointed. All fresh and well thought ingredients, dishes are very tasty and fullfilling with lovely presentation. Definitely a 5* and I ll be back.

Very slow service. Extortionately priced bottled smoothie (£5.50) which was not made fresh with “carefully selected ingredients” as per the website and not made apparent on the menu. Coffee was good but till system was also down and had no ability to pay in cash, so we were told to wait for almost 10 mins for them to confirm that our bank transfer payment had gone through. Extremely disappointing first, and sadly likely to be our last, experience.

What a place! Have lived in Wanstead for years and when this beautiful coffee shop opened up it created a new sanctuary on the high street that we as residents were frankly crying out for. Top marks for the coffee, the food (I especially love the poached egg and bacon naan - to die for and much better than Dishoom), and the beautifully crafted interior decor - which combines contemporary with a homely inviting ambience. If you’re a resident or just for some reason passing through Wanstead on your travels, Bare Brew is bare good and is a must visit!

Great place with good food, excellent coffee and great atmosphere. The staff are very polite and attentive. The cafe is kind of rustic with wooden tables and bench seat and folding front windows which is a real plus on a sunny day. Recommended. A+

Couldn't believe I'd not been here before, this is now on my daily staples list for when I am in the area. Great service, amazing food and value for money.

Lovely venue and fantastic food - we'll be back.

Came here around brunch time during the week and was pretty quiet. I was promptly seated by a polite and attentive staff member. I ordered the turkish eggs, which took a short time to get ready. I must say, the taste of the turkish eggs was really delicious. The accompanied spices and other condiments gave the dish a real explosion of flavours. The bread too was really nice. The eggs were cooked to how I love it most. The veg sausage was great too. I couldn’t get enough of it all, really. Slight caveat as this may be overpriced for some people, however the the taste of the food is well worth it. Hope to revisit soon to try out some other dishes.

This is a lovely place to go for brunch, the small selection of food is varied enough and would suit most diets; with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available and the friendly staff happy to accommodate any allergies or intolerances. It's a great place to go for a treat yourself meal as it's a bit dearer than we expected but well worth it. Loved the pistachio iced latte and vegan wrap, we had the optional fried egg which really added a lot to the dish as they were exceptional eggs. It's dog friendly with outdoor seating and beautiful decor. We will certainly be returning to the popular destination.

The food is delicious- small but impactful menu with great flavours and filling food. Great coffee too! Absolutely lovely staff who kindly made space for a friend and I with our two buggies with no issues at all. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu and have that pecan and coffee cake again. YUM 😋

I wanted to avoid having to go into Gails up the road as doing some work nearby today so popped in for coffee/get some pre-work done, clear a few emails etc but venue has a clear no laptops policy - This was not a problem as this is clearly signposted on tables so fair enough (I just cleared a few emails off my phone which was less intrusive) Pleasantly surprised as the coffee I had was actually really good and staff really friendly and attentive. I also ended up ordering the Nduja on Toast which was really nice. I don’t usually come to this area but if you want a nice cafe to just unwind, have great service and a good selection of sweet and savory food then check this place out. Please be mindful of no laptop or iPad policy however and be respectful to the intentions behind this - With people working in cafes the norm since lockdown it’s probably a good thing having a few places like this where you can walk in and not find people with heads buried in laptops all day 😂

This is by far the best brunch spot in wanstead. If not one of the best in London. The people are amazing and friendly, the coffee is outstanding, the food is truly incredible and value for money. If you find yourself looking for somewhere to go. Here is the place. Dogs welcome so never boring. Me and my partner are regulars here. Only advice is that it’s busy so you may have to wait outside for a table during busy times. If I can leave you with anything… the naans… just have one and you’ll be as convinced as I.

This place is an absolute gem. Coffee and food are top notch. Foh staff are always welcoming and kitchen staff know what they're doing. Lovely community vibe - come here to socialise, not to work on your laptop.

Always a good visit. Quite a popular spot on the high street and great for take away or sit down. Breakfast is always a winner and the service is always great. Friendly staff and many locally sourced ingredients.

I ordered an Asian Salad which I was unable to finish as it was swimming in dressing, I was asked if it was okay and I honestly replied it wasn’t and explained it was like soup. The reason I’m writing is that I wasn’t expecting it to come off the bill or swap for something else, but for the cook to acknowledge that not everyone enjoys runny salads….which he replied that’s how I always do it👎🏻 Not enjoyable! Maybe a little more humble on feedback from customers…

Very busy and popular coffee/ brunch place. Whilst it might be a little on the pricey side, the food was fantastic, as were the hot drinks. Can’t go wrong with a naanwich! It was nice to be able to bring the dog inside too.

Over to see Coldplay in Wembley with my daughter. Stayed in Snaresbrook and Bare Brew was only down the road on Wanstead High Street. Loved the size & atmosphere of this place, a full & busy cafe is normally a good sign and this was the case here. Very friendly & helpful staff. I went for the mushroom naan & an Americano. Absolutely superb... the taste & flavors of the food was mouth watering. Totally recommend. My daughter had a Chinese flavor salad & an organic soft drink. Again excellent. Gotta be honest and say I found it a little pricey but I enjoyed the food tremendously and the atmosphere was good.

This is the best coffee in the area by a long way in my opinion, which is saying something as there's a lot of places now down the high street! I really love coming down for lunch or just a takeaway coffee at any opportunity I get. Very cosy atmosphere with some lovely chilled out beats to listen to. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area, although bear in mind that the staff ask customers not to use laptops in there.

This cafe was recommended by our Daughter who lives in the area. We are down visiting her. The staff were friendly and efficient. The place itself was stylish and spotlessly clean including the rest rooms. The food and coffee were excellent and fairly priced. We had the Asian Salad and Mushroom Naan . Would definitely recommend a visit. We will certainly be visiting again.
