The Twenty Two Restaurant & Bar Mayfair in City of London, Westminster

The food and atmosphere were fantastic. However, the service could use some improvement. We were charged for a dish that was unavailable. Additionally, we ordered tea, but after waiting for 15 minutes, we were informed that our order was forgotten. They continuously brought water to our table without asking if we wanted more and cleared dishes without checking if we had finished eating. From interior design aspects.. Ladies watch out.. there is no place to put or hang your bags 😅! The light are soo dim and the candles on the tables are not a safe thing and is uncomfortable with the dimmed lights… Hopefully, they will make improvements to their service & decor choices

This is my second time going to this restaurant, came for a private party and been treated very poorly from the hostess and the security of the venue. My phone was running out of battery and could not order a Uber to go home, they refused to charge my phone. Very disappointed of their hospitality.

I mean I was expecting to eat something extraordinary in taste. Yes, the ambiance and the service is amazing but to be really honest, you can have similar taste of dishes in any good quality restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant with great ambience but rather average food. In addition, we were overcharged for a cocktail which we didn't order. It was eventually taken off the bill but no apology was offered. Such service is not acceptable.

One of the must visit restaurants at the moment The pastas are amazing and the truffle roast chicken is out of this world. Note: It is quite expensive but worth it

Very pricey. Food is good, not great. We were asked to vacate our table when there was nothing but open tables around us, because we had been sitting for two hours. Never mind that our order was not taken until we had been there for a half hour. Also was forced to take a 6 pm reservation because everything else was booked on reservation site. Restaurant was empty when we got there and it never filled up. You are bette off at a small neighborhood place.

Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Came to dinner excited to try their signature 22 specials however, was extremely disappointed upon sitting down and hearing that the restaurant was out of most of what they claimed themselves to be famous for before an 8 PM seating. I continued to order other things off the menu and had an extremely inpolite waiter, who was reaching over my other guests, and hit my friend with a tablecloth while he was Making another table. I was particularly excited to try this restaurant because of their beef Wellington, but was disappointed to hear that they were out of the beef Wellington when I sat at 8pm. However, when I left the restaurant two hours after I was seated(10pm), there were other tables, eating the said beef, Wellington, that they were allegedly out of. do not recommend coming here unless you would like an extremely limited menu option and terrible service. on top of this, the restaurant had the audacity to charge a cover as well as an automatic service fee. Will say the host of the restaurant was extremely nice and charming.

Never coming back again, aliyssa was our waitress with an extremely unacceptable tone and behavior. Would put zero starts if i could.

The food is okay and the service is tiring.

My goodness - what promise , what skill what decor, all foundering on a failure of true hospitality. If you offer a three course meal it behoves you to balance ingredients. This meal was so carb-light that the promise of bread and butter pudding as dessert began to look like a lifeline not a sweet. We weren't offered bread with the tiny amuse bouche( a soup like dish that called for it) Nothing with the tiny salmon dish. The problem was made real when the filet of beef arrived , nicely cooked , adequately sauced and briefly garnished, but all alone on the plate. Quite a lot of meat to eat without the sensible balance of perhaps some potato dish and some vegetables. We immediately sent a message to the kitchen which was completely, rudely, ignored. Look - my wife and I have been eating out together for nearly 40 years, and it wasn't terrible. But what a shame that a meal that could well have been fine for even it's slightly steep £150pp cost, ended up being a big disappointment. The manager didn't charge service laying the blame on us for not asking for bread, which other tables we later noticed were offered, then blaming the waiter for not bringing it. My experience at The Twenty Two London was mediocre. The total amount came to 345£ for four people including myself. The beef Wellington was great; juicy and tender. The chicken (one of their signature dishes) was bland and overpriced in my opinion. The service was excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful. There was an incident where the server dropped a small glass plate and stopped instantly causing some warm wax to pour onto my hands but they did not realize. Not a big problem, but would have been appropriate for someone to check on us. Another staff member said are you alright but did not mean it judging by the way they glanced and disappeared. Overall, a nice experience but would not return in the future. 6/10

Yesterday we went for dinner with my husband. Nice atmosphere, love the lights, polite service, and nice food as well. However, I give 1 star, because after 1:30 hour we left and went home, we had horrible pain in our tummy’s and stayed up till 2am because of the pain and everything. I send them today morning a mail to inform them about this issue and to let me know if everything was checked yesterday and if it was in good quality? Have they received other complaints about yesterday’s food? No response till now. So disappointed and to be honest this is dangerous..

We had a lovely date night, the food was amazingly presented and full of flavour and fresh. The vibe is really warm and cosy. The bar and cocktails are also really great to try. The service was really efficient and prompt. We had a great time and have explored most of the restaurants in Mayfair and this one has a fantastic quality feel and atmosphere.

I have never felt so offended in my life. I went in as a walk in after checking on their website that they do have multiple tables available. I was told by the receptionist that the restaurant was fully booked even after showing him that their website shows availability. I wasn’t able to be seated until I asked for the manager, i have never felt so offended in my life, i honestly feel that the receptionist didn’t want to see just because I was an arab.

Top notch food, service and atmosphere!! It’s on the pricey end of the range of course, but I guess people who come to such restaurant can handle the bill

The Sunday Roast was excellent and easily our favorite meal of the vacation. Felt reasonably priced. The lamb was exquisite with the gravy, the cheese cauliflower was delicious and unique, and the rest complemented the meal well. The decor is also great and very clean. I would come back again!

Review is for Sunday roast, my first ever. What I was served was good, though for the price I probably should have tried the a la carte menu which may have been more interesting. The chicken and potatoes and veg were all perfectly fine, but nothing to get super excited about. Well executed but a bit soulless. Only realized afterwards that I wasn’t provided Yorkshire pudding, which is listed on the menu and my receipt, and I hear an essential part of a Sunday roast. And when paying 30 pounds for a glass of wine, it feels a bit like being nickel and dimed to be charged a 2 pound “cover charge” and for the carafe of water.

Elegant and refined. A nice boutique restaurant away from the crowds. Very friendly and professional service. The pasta dishes were exceptional. The ch. d’Yquem on the dessert menu was a real treat. Definitely on the list for a return visit.

We had the Sunday roast which is impeccable. Also the slow cooked beef pasta is absolutely amazing (one of the best pastas I have had). The service was brilliant and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely highly recommend
