The Turkuaz Restaurant in Leeds

Amazing food, best I’ve had in quite some time! Very friendly service & nice to dine outside. Cash payments only, which is not too bad considering there is an atm machine right across the street!

I would have given 5 stars if I hadn't been charged £5.00 for a glass of lime and soda and had a 10% service charge added to the bill. Also the fact it is a cash only restaurant (a bit dodgy) makes it rather strange and unhelpful as I rarely carry a lot of cash with me.

Proper nice food, the staff are really friendly and con not do enough for you. Will be definitely going back

Fabulous food, large portions and very caring staff.We had a problem with our car and the staff were really helpful in replacing my partners food ( as it was going cold while he sorted things out) The owner,recognising our stress presented us with a bottle of wine on the house . We were a party of 7 and we all agreed that the food was excellent.We weren’t rushed and we will definitely be returning . Thank you for making what could have been a very difficult event into a very enjoyable experience 👍

Absolutely brilliant Would recommend to anyone We both had a starter plus mains and couple of drinks each Only problem we found was that it was Cash Only, but they did advise when we booked

Had the two courses for £19:95, lots of choice and large portions, cooked to perfection with so much flavour, the host was super friendly and the waiting on staff very attentive . Will definately be back!!

Food Is bloody fantastic the taste and flavours are extreme and well and Delicious, the staff are great very warm and welcoming I've had the Sunday dinner which is really nice and also had the chicken Chargrill is beaut. The new manager Matt is amazing got a warm bubbly personality, he great with interacting with the customers, his amazing manager style is great he knows how to run the the place. I'm a regular and love coming to this place it's a very warm place and great to eat. I think food prices are great and great portion sizes.

Very disappointing and has sadly gone downhill. Karaoke music being forced on customers spoilt the atmosphere.

Absolutely awful. The manager is very rude and the music he insisted on playing to us was very irritating. Very disappointing.

This used to be my favourite local restaurant but sadly the management has changed. We found the new manager over baring (would not leave our table and tried to continue awkward conversation). The evening went from bad to worse when the keyboard and singing came out. I’m all for a good night but this resembled a karaoke bar in Benidorm. The manager then apologised for his loud singing etc and then continued for another hour or so. Not the restaurant it used to be sadly! Won’t be returning.

I do not know what previous reviews re the new Manager, staff and food are on about! This was our first time here and we were blown away by the ambiance of Turkuaz, all the staff and the really lovely food and drink on offer. We had a lovely evening with my sister and brother-in-law, who were down from Glasgow. They said it would beat any Turkish / Greek restaurant there and would be one of the first places to go when they are down next with us! We felt right at home and had a really good evening, sharing lots of good chat with all the staff there. We will return ourselves very soon!

Had a fantastic evening celebrating my wife & sister-in-laws 60th birthday. The manager made it by being super friendly & very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble & the banter was great. The food was amazing & will definitely be returning soon! Peter Crowley

Outstanding review the team here have so much energy. You get a weary welcome great food and the manager even entertains you with musical instruments. The music is always upbeat. The new manager is a real community person

Stunning food & portion sizes, fast wait times between courses, very reasonably priced, all staff were super attentive & friendly, very interactive staff asking multiple times asking if we were happy with food/ if we needed anything else, really enjoyable environment & beautifully decorated, will definitely be coming back many more times.

Excellent meal with family and friends for a birthday and wedding anniversary. Staff were lovely and looked after us really well. Food was great, wine was great, desserts great too.

Manager is so so rude! Rude to his staff and made rude jokes to our partners about us expecting them to be well received. also had bones in our meal and had to ask for the bill 3 times which took 35 minutes. We have been before but sadly this is definitely the last time

We were just driving past this restaurant and the staff were shoveling snow onto the road, the one place it should not be 😂 The council literally spend tax payers' money to remove snow off the roads. The owner/staff need to think about how this could impact other people, especially drivers!

Lovely place to eat. Sat outside with the lovely weather. Meatball 🧆 starter was lovely and the main course was great. Garlic bread was fresh and lovely. Bit expensive for drinks though. This place is cash only. It gets busy so book in advance.

Arrived at 5.30pm to an an almost empty restaurant (4 people). Asked to sit at one of the many 4 seater tables outside and was told we would have to sit on the one two-seater table which was on a slope and completely unappealing. Will never visit again. Wonder if they filled their empty restaurant.

The food was quite good, though the time between being served the starter and main is way too lengthy, regardless of how busy the place is. There is only one bathroom to service an entire restaurant of patrons. The manager/owner was very rude and demeaning to his staff. The cherry on top for this overall 2 star review really comes from the very racist experience I had from one server! Will not be returning.

Everything fine until bill came. Then informed that they only take cash. We were told to go to ATM across the road. It charged me £1.99 to withdraw cash. No mention of the 'cash only' policy when we rang to book a table. Very disappointed.

The food was nice and service very good but not the cheapest restaurant in the area. Would probably try somewhere different next time but it was nice for a change.

Excellent service. We went early on a Saturday evening and were the only customers at that time, but it was much busier when we left. Portions were delicious and plentiful.

Absolutely fantastic lunch at Turkuaz, first time I have been but definitely won't be the last. All the food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the Lamb Shish, the meat was so tender and flavourful and was complimented so well by everything else on the plate.

STOP! We drove past this place so often and wish we went sooner. We've been looking for a slice of turkey ever since we went there a few years back, and at Turkuaz it perfect. The staff are kind and polite just like in Turkey, the food equally the same. The price as reasonable as turkey. We will be back!

I was good client there but since owner got personal involvement not sure I'm happy about that. I do like food but don't feel comfortable any more. Won't be back there.

We sat outside, but under cover, as we had our dog with us. It was a pleasant night so not cold. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is excellent and the two course special from Sunday to Thursday is a bargain. There's no reduction in portion size and depending on what you order the two courses can be cheaper than one main meal Highly recommended. We will definitely be back there soon.

First time eating at Turkuaz and we had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. Six of us ate there and we all enjoyed the evening thoroughly. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing time, was my son's birthday the whole staff sang happy birthday gave him a cake with a candle, the restaurant is very cosy and the food is amazing!! Would definitely recommend!!

Food was good. Service was good. Abit on the expensive side and cash only for some reason. I think expensive and cash only shouldn't go together really. Should be abit cheaper if that's the case. I think card payment is a standard these days especially when 8 of you sit down for food and drink and have about £350 cash bill to pay

Love this place. Food was incredible, staff were great and so good with our kids (the Turkish bread and garlic butter was a huge hit!) making it a really enjoyable experience. Defiantly recommend!

Terrible. Bad tase Expensive Cash only .. no one tells you before you get in You do booking by phone then go and dont find a plece booked for you Salad was not fresh and tasted like rotten

We went last Saturday night and the place was largely empty received a slightly confused greeting about our booking but we sat next to a radiator which was a bonus. We ordered drinks whilst we read the menu, large Fanta orange, what they delivered from cans was tango. Now having my drink substituted was only a minor thing but I didn't order tango and am no a big fan. The starters arrived so fast I was being to think we were in mac donalds not a restaurant but they were pleasant enough but not outstanding. We ordered mains during our starter and again these arrived extremely quickly, the constant ping of the microwave might have been a clue , again these were ok but not spectacular. The sweets were supposed to be homemade but probably came from tescos. Overall a not impressive meal with indifferent service, we were ignored several times apart from when we wanted to pay . We went for Turkish food and the the first thing on the menu was nachos and God proportion of the menu was Mexican.

Amazing place, great food and staff are very welcoming

I was looking forward to visiting as I've heard nothing but good things, the waiting staff were lovely and the man serving us was cheeky and fun which added to the atmosphere and he also made sure to tell us about the offers and how they worked and the special aswell. Myself and my 4 friends all really enjoyed our meals and were totally stuffed and satisfied afterwards! We will definitely be back again 😊

My first time going there was really special, the staff firstly greeted us extremely well and was really friendly, I went for the Lamb Beyti which was absolutely delicious, the lamb was really soft and succulent. I would definitely go there again and thank you for the warm hospitality!!!!

We dined there last night for the first time, the place had a lovely feeling about it, it felt like we were on holiday. The staff are exceptional and work well as a team, they engaged well and were there to make sure you were well look after. The food was amazing, they don't cut corners when it come to quality. We loved the complimentary Limoncello shot which was made freshly for us, but to top it off, once the staff found out we were celebrating our anniversary they gave us a free mini bottle of procecco each. We will definitely be back whatever the occasion
