I've had high hopes for this place, and it exceeded them all. The food was nothing short of excellent, and waitress Monika has been very kind and helpful. Definitely coming back and bringing more people!

Everything was nicely presented and tasty. Only the compote is very sweet, but it's a matter of taste.

I shared my comments about the food with the nice waiter/bartender. The decor is modest but tasteful, I would complement it with Polish folklore, which would complement each other well, instead of love ballads, because not everyone likes that. Moreover, the place has potential, good access and plenty of parking

Given the excellence of service and particularly the food, this has to qualify as a hidden gem. Only open to the public (so far) from Friday to Sunday, the region's best central-european restaurant is barely advertised and found upstairs in the old Polish Catholic Centre at the top of Chapeltown Road. As good, if not better, than any place I have eaten in Warsaw, Lublin or Krakow, Cracovia is in a league of one. A good if limited range of starters, mains and deserts can all be complemented by a fine selection of Polish beer or vodka. The starters were so good that I had two.

Everything was super tasty, the service was nice, everything was served very quickly. The waitresses were very nice and communicative. I would highly recommend . A very homely atmosphere. Every time we are in Leeds we visit this place. See you soon.

Nice service, delicious food. Beef tartare - a masterpiece. Moreover, served as it should be, with bread and a glass of cold white vodka. A sample of home-made sausages - delicious. Chicken breast with cheese and herb stuffing and red wine sauce - delicious again.

Monika is definitely an exceptional person! If not her welcoming personality that restaurant wouldn’t be the same! Thank you so much for delicious food and amazing service! 🫶🏻

Great food , great atmosphere and really good service. My wife and I went with 2 other couples and we all had a really enjoyable evening. There is a lovely homely feel about the restaurant enhanced by the excellent service. We will definitely return.

The atmosphere is unfortunately late PRL, early 90s in a restaurant in a small town or village. If only it still looked intentional, but it just looks like a lack of investment in the premises since then. It must be admitted that the service was very nice, but unfortunately the dishes were between good (tartare) and poor (steak or potato pancakes with goulash), compote, nice accent but definitely not great. Although, as you can see in the photos, they are presented quite nicely. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it

An excellent Leeds Polish restaurant for a special occasion. If memory serves me, the manageress is called Magda - very kind and caring - gave me a large home-made banger. A Polish sausage, I mean.

Had the steak tartare, zurek, and pierogi. Everything was delicious, especially the pierogi. Appreciate that the waitress had good recommendations. Great presentation of dishes. Enjoyed the cherry vodka. Chilled atmosphere, warm and welcoming service. Highly recommended.

Looking for a possibility to make a bulk booking for a large party, we were enticed by the restaurant's website. On arriving we were met by a Polish waitress (Manageress?), who, while keen to be helpful, but limited English. The menu which we were shown was very limited , with only one or two dishes resembling those on the website and considerably more expensive. Service was very slow and it became clear that the only staff present were the two serving staff and the chef. He told us that he was Romanian. The meal was mediocre to say the least, although the other guests, all Polish, seemed satisfied. We note that no reviews have been posted since 2022, non of the featured staff were present, and the menu was different. We can only conclude that the business has now changed hands, or hit hard times. Sadly, we will not be visiting again.

I cannot recommend this place more highly. The service and team were so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were generous to say the least. I can also recommend the Polish Chardonnay. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Leeds.

Went to the restaurant at 6.30 Friday 8th September We Had friends to stay one was from Poland so I thought the restaurant was a great idea, OMG I was right. Monika looked after us like we were family, we were given a run down of specials, what would be good to share, and what was more traditional. No draught Lager so had Polskie Lager, very good and strong I chose a light Prosecco. Monica took our orders then arrived with drinks and a small appetiser of sliced polish sausage very tasty and just enough to get taste buds tingling. There is a 2 Course Menu currently for 18.95 great value but there’s so much to choose from we opted for Soup of the day a Hearty bean soup very filling and a great taste, king prawns meaty and delicate the sauce was happily mopped up happily with bread to go with the Trio of Pork, a thick piece of Ham Hock, Ham Terrine, And the best Pate I have ever tasted along with a apple and onion compote, we all happily shared. Round 3 was a delightful dinner late of Stuffed Cabbage Leaves full of minced pork, rice with a thick coating of tomato sauce on a bed of buttery smooth potatoes. 2 plates of meaty pork ribs were devoured quickly one with fries the other buttery potatoes, the Salmon was expertly cooked crispy skin and a rather thick chunky piece along by side new buttery potatoes. There was more than enough on the plates to satisfy the biggest of bellies. A rest was needed, Monika checking on us and other dinners to make sure we were happy or needed anything else. A complementary shot of Cherry Vodka was downed happily, we refused dessert but Monika insisted a plate for sharing was brought to the table and the boys dug in. Another shot of cherry vodka was downed with the bellow of Na Zdrowie (nostrovia) Cheers…. Monica then brought a basket with all produce used in the restaurant for us to have a taste and we were able to buy Pierogi a vegetarian cheese and potatoes and a minced pork what a wonderful experience, and we will be back… Thanks to Monika for making it so special

Bardzo fajna atmosfera panuje w restauracji i jest przytulnie, dużo miejsca i superczyste łazienki. Pierwsze co mi się rzuciło w oczy to bardzo miła obsługa, panie które w tym dniu, w którym miałam przyjemność zamawiać były jak do rany przyłóż! To był mój pierwszy raz w Cracovi i na pewno nieostatni, jestem bardzo mile zaskoczona, że takie miejsce istnieje z tak dobrym zespołem i jedzeniem. Polecam z całego serca, jedzenie pyszne i atmosfera super, ja na pewno zostanę stalą klientka!

Fabulous place with delicious food and a cozy interior. We were served by Ms. Monika, a lovely lady with great hospitality and a pleasant smile. The food was really good with great flavours. Great place to be with family and friends.

This is a slightly odd place but if you embrace the unusual you'll be rewarded with a fine meal. We where a group of 5 and enjoyed 3 courses, wine, beer and obviously vodka for £208, this considering the quality of the meal was an absolute bargain. Highly recommended.

So laid back it was almost horizontal, and yet every morsel of food was delicious. The steak tartare was a particular highlight, every starter and main delivered in both quantity and quality and the homemade dessert selection was a amazing. Thanks to Monika for a really nice evening, we'll definitely be back!

Odwiedziliśmy tą restauracje w drodze do domu. Jedzenie było przepyszne, duże porcję, cena dostosowana do jakości i porcji. Bardzo miła atmosfera, od progu zostaliśmy ugoszczeni przez Panią Magdę która do ostatniego momentu służyła pomocą i była bardzo miła. Kucharz wyszedł do Nas osobiście, mogliśmy osobiscie podziekoeac za przepyszne posiłki. Polecamy wszystkim bardzo gorąco tą restaurację. Oferują również wyroby własne, przepyszna kiełbaska, chrzan i buraczki które zakupiliśmy na miejscu. Dziękujemy raz jeszcze za bardzo miłe ugoszczenie i jeśli będziemy w okolicy następnym razem to napewno odwiedzimy ponownie 😁

I went here for a meal here with a friend for the first time. We couldn't have asked for more. The food was outstanding, we will definitely be going back. The staff were amazing, couldn't have been more hospitable and friendly, we were so impressed. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Really disappointed. Wanted to love this place but service was slow and stressy (despite being relatively quiet). Two items we ordered didn’t turn up but the food quality was so poor, we didn’t even raise it. Swimming in oil, under seasoned yet strangely sweet. I’ll come back one day to try it again and hope things have improved. 😔

Absolutely amazing food. Fresh tomatoes with cottage cheese for a starter and pork knuckle with fried sauerkraut it was just jaw dropping. The portions are huge as well. And the service! You cannot feel more welcome :)

Average food. Average ambience. Entrance has been decorated but still on the 'gloomy' side. Not typical restaurant style if that's what you are looking for ... Used to be good value, but now, considering all the above - on the expensive side.

Bardzo mila obsluga i pyszne jedzenie.

After months of requesting to visit the restaurant I finally gave in to my parent's pressure but was left a bit disappointed. The website boasts the best duck and goose yet only duck was provided on the menu. My starter of chicken noodle soup was bland and over salted. The main of chicken schnitzel served on mash with braised cabbage was nice but I wasn't expecting there to be pork sausage in the cabbage which was more reminiscent of the traditional hunter's stew known as bigos and had it been a choice of a main meal in its own right, I would have had that instead as it was delicious. The desserts were the restaurant's saving grace, authentic homemade apple cake and poppyseed icecream and if I were to return I'd have 3 courses of that instead. Not a menu for vegetarians with the hidden extras but a decent enough attempt at Polish cuisine.

We didn't know what to expect when we booked but what a treat it was. The staff were really friendly even though we unknowingly only showed up an hour before closing (9pm). But then the food and its presentation style the show. The steak tartare is absolutely wonderful and a very generous portion at that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes and we all came away really impressed. The very traditional decor might not be everyone's cup of tea but it didn't take anything away from how great the food tastes. We'll definitely be back

Great selection on the menu, some tasty polish beers and vodkas! A good looking wine menu too. We went for the Ham Hock and Herring dishes to start followed by the Seabass and Meat Dumplings for main courses. All of it was delicious. Our knowledge of Polish food and drink is nil but lovely lady who owns the restaurant with her husband helped us though it all. There was also a set menu priced at a bargain £13.95 for 2 courses. We can’t wait to go back.

I live close by but haven't been until last night. It was very quiet due to the current Covid-19 situation but the service and quality of food where exceptional. If you want a filling meal of very high quality this is the place to go, definitely the hidden gem of the Chapel Allerton area.

Lovely Polish food, we had 3 courses but the first course soup was the best, the cabbage soup was lovely. Nice basic feel to the restaurant, and the service was excellent. We went to Krakow in March and the food was just as good as we had there. Will certainly go again.

You would be fooled into thinking you walked into a restaurant in Krakow, the decor was oldy but clean and tidy, the menu was small, the food was great, the service was excellent, a great down to earth eating experience, try it you will not be disappointed!

This restaurant is situated within the Polish Community Centre in Leeds, and formally took over from the club's internal catering a couple of years ago. We met for a large family Easter Sunday meal (12 of us). The food was fantastic with large portions and the staff were very friendly, efficient and hospitable. We have eaten here for many years, both before and after the restaurant took over. The food and presentation is great with incredible value for money. The family party ranged from 95 to 6 years and all ages were catered for. The half duck was cooked perfectly and my sons said the wild boar stew was to die for. Home made ice cream too. Highly recommended.
