The Town Farmhouse in North Devon

Just got back from a fantastic little break to beautiful Mortehoe. Stayed at this fantastic farmhouse. It was so comfortable, laid back and Zaina was a brilliant host. She was very friendly and , nothing too much trouble and cooked a gorgeous breakfast.!! The communication before our arrival was great and we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely return what a gem of a place you have , keep doing what you are doing it’s amazing xxxx til the next time Love Ruth and Darren

Lovely cafe with reasonably priced tempting lunch options. My cheese and pickle sandwich had lovely fresh bread and was extremely generously filled. The staff were all super friendly and jolly. The seating area outside is very pleasant. Mortehoe is very pretty with a lovely walk over the moors from Woolacombe, definitely worth the trip.

What a fabulous coffee shop and in a brilliant location. The coffee and cakes were fabulous and the staff were very friendly. Can highly recommend the Town Farmhouse. We will definitely return.

We called here while camping in September. What a find! Actually the best carrot cake I have ever had, and I am a bit off a carrot cakeoholic! The coffee was lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We had another short trip this week to Mortehoe and another visit here was a must.

After enjoying many lunches at Town Farmhouse, we had the absolute pleasure of staying there. The house is absolutely beautiful & the rooms are all decorated tastefully with lovely comfortable beds, excellent amenities including a little jar of biscuits for our 4 legged friends which went down a treat with our 2 French Bulldogs. Zaina & Matt are a great team, they made us so welcome & nothing was a problem. We felt we arrived as guests but left as friends. The breakfasts were delicious with a good selection of choices, all organic & only the best ingredients. You really could taste the difference & we will definitely be buying some of the porridge & organic eggs at home! We cannot recommend this B&B enough, an absolute gem. We have already booked again! Thank you once again Zaina & Matt.

This cafe really stands out from all others. The cakes are fantastic. Light, airy, very tasty, generous portions. Totally delicious. Friendly staff and a great location for some wonderful walks on the surrounding cliffs.

What a beautiful little gem, we had cream teas and a sandwich, all fresh and super tasty! Vegan cream tea was a great option with my dairy allergy, was a nice surprise to see on the menu. Reasonable pricing and within walking distance from public to parking and toilets. A note for any guests is to try get seated inside though as, the wasps are out in force.

Really good scones in a nice location. A bit of effort to get rid of wasps from the front garden would make eating outside much more appealing!

Used the cafe (not the B&B Rooms). It was our first visit and we would definitely visit again. The service was amazing, our dogs were made very welcome too - we sat inside as the wind was picking up a bit and it was starting to drizzle. The food was absolutely delicious, the prices weren't bad and the staff were warm, polite and friendly. I just love it when we find a little gem like this place 😁

Sadly this place is shut. We planned a walk with a group all looking forward to a cream tea with no alternative. Please don’t make the mistake we did. I can only imagine they have gone into liquidation.

I nearly jumped for joy when I spotted a vegan cream tea on the menu! They had plenty of vegan options on the menu, which is a wonderful surprise at a small tea room in a small village! The girl told me the owner was vegan so it's a fantastic spot for a vegan lunch. They also cater for non vegans so it's a great place for everyone.

Stopped here after a walk along the Morte Point and Bull Point Circular route. Absolutely lovely lunch and sweet treats. Highly recommend!

A warm welcome at this lovely B&B, couldn’t fault the stay, would certainly recommend. Friendly hosts, clean room which had everything needed, perfect location in the heart of Mortehoe, with parking.

Small tearooms with limited menu yet great food. Curried lentil soup was excellent. Too full after that so will need to return to sample cakes/scone. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff and welcoming. Clean premises. Opposite the parish church.

We had a lovely time here, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. We went in for a vegan cream tea for two and ended up getting a brownie each as well! It was such a lovely environment and everyone working there seemed to have a lot of fun which only enhanced the atmosphere.

We walked the costal path, which is so beautiful and saw seals basking in the sun . We entered Mort hoe and saw the most picturesque setting an old quintessential English village. We ordered cream teas and sat in the front garden which over looks the beautiful church. The staff were happy cheerful and fun, the home made scones were a delight, along with the cream and strawberry jam The tea came in old fashioned pots and could be taken at your favourite strength. We visited twice as it was so good and a well deserved break after our walk. Would highly recommend this business

Lovely staff great coffee and delicious lemon cake I think it had lemon curd in the middle! I will be using that idea next time I bake a Victorian sponge 👍 We also bought a delicious pastie from the little shop in the village for our walk back 😃

This week we took my father in law for a visit to Morthoe as he hadn't been in 60 years and it was on his bucket list. Although we had never been here before we were greeted as if we were old friends. My father in law was a bit unsteady on his feet but the waitress offered him an arm and saw him to the table while having a bit of banter along with him. The food was superb! best cake, scones and hot chocolate we've had in a very long time! this truly is a hidden gem! Thank you to all the staff who made a very greatful mans visit such a lovely one! such friendly and attentive service with a smile 😁 thank you all

We visited this establishment on a warm July Sunday having parked in the public car park behind it. We found The Town Farmhouse to be clean with the staff very friendly and helpful. The coffee and cake we ordered were lovely too.

Lovely & friendly place to stop for coffee & cake whilst out walking the North Devon coast.

This is a lovely guest house in the heart of the pretty village of Morthoe which is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. I chose it to be near my family who were staying nearby. My room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts are very tasty (vegetarian ), and the cream teas absolutely delish. The hosts and staff are very hospitable, helpful and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. There is car parking for guests. Within striking distance are amenities which include public footpaths or a village route which will take you down to some of the best beaches we have in England, a couple of nice pubs, a great fish and chip shop which sells more than just fish and chips, a take-away that serves great home-cooked food for a reasonable price, a village shop, and a Post Office. You don't need anything else!

We popped into the TFH for tea and cake - WOW! I simply wish we’d taken a photo of it, but we couldn’t wait to tuck in. So, apologies for no photograph. The setting is perfect - friendly, picturesque and service with a genuine smile....

Excellent food. Lovely staff. Fine location. Fair prices. Only thing stopping me giving a 5 star for our visit were the dreadfully noisy people on the adjacent table. It was like being part of a surreal sketch of Roy & Renee from the Fast Show, but without the humour.

This great little spot served scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam to die for with a lovely pot of tea for two in this idilic setting. A must when in Mortehoe, even the bathroom art was fun.

What a little gem of a place - we visit Damage Barton every year but had stopped using this tea room as we were underwhelmed by the quality! However new people had started running it so we decided to take a chance! We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely the food delicious and everything home made! So impressed went back two days running for the cheese toasties and tried out not only the cream tea but also the fresh cream Victoria Sandwich and the fresh cream lemon sponge! All beautiful! We were also helped out with Bus timetables and information on their B&B provision too. A visit is most definitely worth it:)

Lovely cake and coffee in a beautiful surroundings. We visit here every time we holiday in Devon and we were very disappointed that they had no cream teas left. They are definitely the best we've had in Devon so we understandably gutted that they didn't have any left especially given it was before 2pm.

Stopped here with hubby and 2 pre teens and had a fantastic experience. Well organised searing process, very covid secure with tables thoroughly cleaned in between each group. Lovely large cream teas with selection of drinks. Really enjoyed it!

This is a really nice place to stop for a coffee, tea, piece of cake or cream tea. The staff are friendly and efficient. We particularly like the coffee that they make. It's in a great location and we enjoy sitting in the front garden. It's helpful if you know that you should order at the hatch around the back before being allowed to sit at a clean table. There's a notice explaining this very clearly, which most customers fail to read. The staff are extremely pleasant and patient, maintaining their Covid safety measures to a very high standard.

Beautiful place to sit and enjoy a delicious cream tea with friendly accommodating staff and generous portions of delicious cakes. Dog friendly and customer bathroom available. Would say it's fairly accessible with only one or two steps for access to garden and bathroom. Some on-street parking available close by and dedicated parking for b&b guests.

We were welcomed into the cafe soaking wet with our Northern Inuit who was also soaked through. We were made very welcome and staff were brilliant. The dog was spoilt!! I had a gluten free cream tea for a reasonable price and it was lovely....

Stopped for lunch here, and the waiter was the nicest guy. Despite being a bit overwhelmed (everyone turning up at once) he did a great job and the sandwich, cake and coffees were spot on.
