The Tooke Arms in Tower Hamlets

Had two nights in a row here and I must say what a friendly bunch they were. Went back on the Saturday night after being there the night before and the barmaid remembered what drinks we had.Prices very reasonable at this no frills bar. As two couples this was much more friendly than our hotel bar.Thanks for two good nights

Sticky carpet floor, Gordons gin, judgemental locals and the delectable scent of Au de Benson and Hedges de Toilette. It's heaven. Feels like you're in Shameless - but feel no shame. It's bloody grim and lovely jubbly. Staff around sound, pints are decent.

The landlord don't believe face masks, basically, free for all. Period. There is no social distancing. Period. Bar staff don't wear masks and track and trace is absent. Stay away. Watched England against the Ukraine at the Tooke. What a mistake! I was the only person who wore a mask out of hundreds of people. They all looked at me as if I'm an alien! Stay away from the Tooke! It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Un gran lugar para tomar una copa o tres. en la tierra con bebidas a precios muy razonables. Viernes y sábado tienen una licencia más tarde y a menudo tienen un/karaoke/banda en vivo de disco/cantante. No recomendaría tomar niños.

Very good atmosphere, very friendly and enjoyed the gold radio. A nice change from all the other pubs around

Though many of the pubs in London are friendly, this is no exception. It has a very friendly crowd that's the exception. People coming here are from the close neighbourhood and will immediately find out any new faces and will not hesitate to introduce themselves and get friendly. Liquors are displayed very orderly with price tags attached to them so working out ones budget will be very handy. Unfortunately they currently do not accept cards and do business only with cash. They have coin operated pool (billiard), dart games (dart game competitions are also held here), many coin operated bidding machines are here. Fridays and Saturday is the day for partying here. They have in-house DJ and karaoke happening on these two days.
