The Tiger Inn in York

The Tiger lnn is a traditional two roomed village pub. It is a Sam Smith pub, so there is the usual range of Sam Smith's beer, including the brewery bitter on hand pumps. As it's Sam Smith's pub, there are the usual rules no laptops, no mobile phones, and no music. Dogs are not allowed in the pub.

It's okay! Good to go for a quick cheap pint. Too many rules for me at a Sam Smith's pub. This one clearly needs some tlc, the toilets are minging, and the whole place needs a lick of pain. Lady who served us was very pleasant so no complaints there.

Need more competent bar staff at this establishment. The barman mike didn’t have a clue on what customer service is. Struggled with the basics of serving and lacked even the basics of communication when serving me and my partner. Worst service we have ever encountered, would advise a training course.

What a BIZARRE experience! Went in at 19:50 (so before the 9pm cut off for being ID’d… we’re 22 for context) and tried to order 2 cokes (we were driving), to be rudely met with “no under 18s allowed” when we didn’t have our IDs… to prove we can drink 2 cokes?! If this was after 9pm I would completely understand but given it was not even 8pm and we were ordering non-alcoholic drinks, and most importantly, are 22 (!!!!), it was truly BIZARRE! Never experienced such a weird response for ordering 2 cokes. And before anyone says Think 25, we are aware we would need to be ID’d for alcoholic drinks, but not for non-alcoholic ones. Safe to say Tiger Inn won’t be our go to again!

A friendly local with lovely atmosphere and no mobile devices allowed. Great drinks and good coversation, will be back!

Really liked this pub even after being told off for using my phone , the beer was well worth the visit, and nice to find a pub selling beer at realistic prices.

Full of old men who like to sit there for hours on end drinking, without a care in the world although many have a family at home

Couldn't get seated in the front bar, had to go to back room, door open on a chilly eve,smokers and stench of other people's cigarettes

Locals pub with an older crowd. The beer not as reasonably priced as it once was so it has better competition in the village. Still has a good atmosphere but no dogs, no mobiles, no music. No dogs is the worst part.

Not a bad Sam Smith's pub, although don't have my preferred Sovereign bitter. The Best bitter was fine though.

Good Smiths. Staff can vary but good locals and ambience in the front room.

Cheap boozer with a good selection of drinks all brewed by owning brewery. Refreshing change from Carling etc. No TV or music and no use of phones etc. This meant the atmosphere was flat.

Cheap drink if it suits your taste, but don't expect music, and don't even think about using a laptop or mobile phone or you will be barred out, Sam Smith's policy.

Friendly bar staff and the usual great value drinks that are on offer from Sam Smiths pubs. However, its a bit worse for wear inside and could do with a good clean & a lick of paint. Mens toilets were shocking!

Not one of Sams best or most atmospheric, but its cheap and does the job.

Brilliant locals pub and the bitter is only £1.90p a pint and the low alcohol lager a mere £1.40p A very warm and friendly pub .Highly recommended

Great pub with a lot of characters within , some dodger as hell lol ,dogs are friendly and the beer is fine. If you want to no wot go there this is Haxby's answer to the wool pack rovers return and the queen Vic all rolled into one. One should write a story line to this place and creat a new soap lol
