What a place, absolutely full of Coke heads, every time I used the toilet there are groups of guys sniffing from the sink basins and the two toilets, what used to be a nice pub has attracted the crap locally, shame as gone completely down hill 100% if not more

Used to frequent the place for years and rated it high, but it recently fell off major and gained a bad reputation in the area. The vibe is just not it, it's now full of coked up youngsters and weirdos who sometimes don't look old enough to buy a drink. Numerous times I've also had pints of ale that tasted off, which is sad for a pub. The manager isn't a pleasant fellow at all, but the other staff are lovely, hence the 2 stars. Sad one, as I used to enjoy a pint and a football game in there with my mates and father, but now I avoid this pub.

Really bad vibe for this pub, went in and out directly!

The staffs behaviour is discriminating. Me and my friend entered the pub and were the only people of colour, as soon as we went to sit down they kicked us out. They didn’t even allow my friend to charge her phone when it was off or for me to even use the bathroom. Appalling service and hospitality. Do better. This is 2024, not the 19th century, I should not still be experiencing racism in my local area. Disgusting.

Lovey staff and atmosphere loads of seating and outside seating and a pool table and darts board. The 80s playlist was brilliant with mix crowd.

They've Just started to do the most delicious Roast Dinners . Highly recommended, Roast pork, beef and Vegetable Wellington. Its well worth the price and one of the best pub meals I've had in a long time.

Nice atmosphere with friendly, communicative people. Meeting point for the approximately 150 residents of the town. We stayed there in the campervan for one night (free) and had a few pints of beer. There was no more food.

I was really surprised by this place. The service was good too. We'll be back.

Good food. Good atmosphere & good service. Would have got 5 stars, but the aubergine parmigiana was a bit too small for a main portion & didn't have enough morzella cheese on it.

Hmm. Used to like this pub. Had a nice local vibe. Seems to have descended into a foul mouth drinking man's pub. Barstaff look like they need a shower and more interested in chatting to their mates rather than serving customers. Got 2 stars as the g&t was superb. Rest was desultory.

St Patrick's Day when I went in. Good value and a nice Guinness.

Nice bar staff and outdoor seating area... Only improvement is the soap dispenser doesn't work in the men's toilets needs replacing. Otherwise had a good evening!

The staff are extremely welcoming, a great range of both food and drink and excellent indoor and outdoor facilities. Would 100% recommend, especially on weekends with live music.

The last proper pub in Whetstone. Community-focused atmosphere with regular DJ nights, poker nights and various other activities. Best beer in the area. Always enjoyed a friendly reception.

Fantastic atmosphere, great staff. Live music every Friday night and lots of sceebs to watch all live sports. Would. recommend

Had an amazing experience at the pub. Great and welcoming people there! I even coincidentally bumped into someone who had the same hoodie as me. I’d say to pop in and say hi to them if you ever have the chance.

Had a great birthday. The staff were nice and the DJ on Saturday was excellent. Had lots of fun and would come again.

Awesome karaoke night every Sunday, lovely, friendly team behind the bar, drinks not too expensive either. If you want a great Sunday night out with great karaoke: you can't go wrong coming here.

Friendly staff and nice and clean the price was fair and service of order loverly. The atmosphere, had more of a Yates modern vibe the sort of place for drinks after work and a bit of banter, with the football on. It wasn't so much a cozy local feel, but it was pleasant.

Excellent pub. Lovely lunch with family. Ducks and geese swimming in the canal and it is very scenic. The food was good though I’d appreciate more vegan options.

Nice, well decorated pub. Very limited ales (2). Good, Asian/Korean food, but served in plastic containers in which you eat your meal.

I've got to say absolutely fabulous service from Donald and the Team at the Whetstone branch. The drinks were hot and delicious (we had teas, hot chocolate and coffees!), they were well presented and the atmosphere is fabulous. The Team can't do enough to please. Donald runs a very tight ship and is always smiling- nothing is to much trouble!. It was our 1st time visiting the pub and even during Covid the tables were evenly spaced out and nice and warm outside with the heaters during the cold weather. Thanks so much Donald and Team

Well I am just having a beer here outside and the waitress is friendly but there is a guy with beard that just does not give me the impression of being well come here. I think maybe he is the cleaner here.... He gave me a very bad look.... if I was the boss of this pub I will have something to tell him.....

Claims to serve real ale, but the closest they have is Doombar - which they haven't even got! Alright if you drink lager or cider, otherwise don't bother.

So friendly, properly on top of covid, feel safe and welcome. Sunday roast was a blast. Crispy potatoes fluffy inside, I had the pork, melted in the mouth, Mrs had the beef, slightly over done but she's Irishsh so if it ain't bleeding it's burnt.great service, great food and smiles, don't miss out, well worth the reasonable prices.

Great pub. With lovely bar staff and a lively atmosphere. They have live djs on in the garden on saturday nights and have all the big sporting events on.

It used to be a nice local place but has now turned in to a place to rave on a Saturday night. A few fights recently as well. NOT a place for a relaxing pint anymore. Avoid

Nice pub,recently renovated to a good standard,with only the steep stairway,to the toilets,poorly designed. While the pint of Doombar was not of the standard,I've had in other public houses,it turned flat,very quickly.Was disappointing. My overall experience of the evening,was ok,and will be back in the future.

Staff friendly and polite and efficient. Beer good and considerably cheaper than the competition. Good atmosphere and only criticism is toilets upstairs.

As a pub it is a good place to have a drink. Staff are friendly and on summer days you can sit outside, though the seating is on the main road. However, for a long time, it has stopped serving food and they told me that they might start serving food again but not that soon.

Always served promptly，it's never busy when I go but that's possibly cos 5.30 is a bit early.

Love, love, love this place! I'm a shy girl that's recently moved to London from America. The pub manager saw me sit with my pint and my book and demanded that I sit at the bar and meet the locals. Made some nice friends 😊

Went last night, nice wine but the food was awful! I went the week before and had a much better experience, the food was good and that's why I went back. It was Italian night, we arrived just after 730 to find some cold Sweet potato fries and hoped they would be replenished but they weren't. The white rice dish looked awful,. Having had two bottles of wine with my friend we left at 10 o'clock hungry and very disappointed.
