The Three Horseshoes in Stroud

Walked to the pub from the canal to find it’s closed down. No signs, no information on Google or Facebook to say they’re no longer open. Was really looking forward to trying their pies 🙁 Not sure if it’s a temporary or permanent closure.

Pub has shut down. Walked 2 and a half miles for nowt.

Perfect little pub, with an England match in the front of the bar the atmosphere bled over into the restaurant whilst we absolutely feasted on the most incredible pies. 11/10 will be back

Such an amazing find and an brilliant pub. Dog friendly and very welcoming. The 3 shu, 3 filling pies were amazing. We were a group of 7 and we did pre order which made it easier all round. Food came out on time piping hot and absolutely delicious. All fillings are amazing, in total our group had 5 different fillings between us and we couldn't fault any of it. The puff pastry top made all the difference. Thank you again for a lovely night. Would definitely go again and recommend, thank you . Great value too. For a 2 course meal with drinks (at least 2 rounds pp) the average was £29 in our group which is amazing value for money.

Lovely relaxed and friendly pub. Awesome freshly made deep fried fish and chips.

I was taken there for lunch, the shu pie chips and onion rings were absolutely outstanding so full of flavour. Will be back sometime

A great little proper pub, almost like stepping back in time. We went in the lounge at the back to eat. Good beer, good pies (gluten free options) and happy staff. Sensible prices.

The 3 in 1 pies were amazing. I had the Quorn and leek version and wow it was very tasty!!

We didn't eat this time but food looked good and people were clearing their plates.

What a lovely pub/restaurant! Friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous food including options for different dietary needs, great atmosphere. My only challenge now is how I'm going to manage to eat my dinner there every day given I live hundreds of miles away.

Just popped in for a Saturday pint and watch the rugger. Good crowd - had to get the Bell rung out loud for service !! May risk going back for food soon.

Wonderful pub and food pies wonderful

Simple pub, done well! A traditional, simple pub in a beautiful location. Friendly helpful staff and a nice atmos. Old fashioned bar serving a couple of well kept, (very) local cask beers and a selection of ciders including a still. Great food at affordable price. Lovely back garden with a boules court which is great fun to play. Frampton is one of the most picturesque villages in England, but retains its friendly, ‘lived in’ feel.

Great traditional pub with good beer and food.

Nice traditional type pub. On a return visit found they were charging £5.35 for a pint of Amstel.Was a bit over the top in my opinion.

Have been here several times and every time its been a pleasant experience. The pies are great.... Just missing a cherry pie 😁 Jess and James are fantastic landlords and always happy to join in with the experience.

Stumbled across this pub by chance and had a lovely lunch there. Small country pub atmosphere and the 3 Shu pie was excellent.

Amazing 3in1 pies, best quality and value for money I've come across for the 3in1 pies or similar pies. Lovely quiet setting, very welcoming like popping around to your nans for a cuppa. Will definitely be going again and adding this to the list of hidden gems we've found within the county. I had the pheasant and duck 3in1 pie my partner had the ham and leek and her mum had the ham and mushroom all were exceptional and didn't eat another thing for the rest of the day. Lovely choice of draughts and very welcoming locals definitely worth a visit if you haven't already!

This pub was amazing especially the horse shue pie(probably spelt that wrong) you must get one if you visit.

This place is so great!!! We travel 1hr just to have the most amazing pie youll ever eat and spend a few hours relaxing in a warm welcoming enviroment, thank you again, we will be back.

Excellent pub...but not open enough!

Poor service too slow need landlords and landlady to do there bit not hide upstairs very upsetting

What a great village pub. The beer was well kept, the staff and locals were friendly, dogs are welcome and the food was fab. We had the 3 shu pie which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely visit again whenever we are on this part of the canal.

We walked here from Slimbridge via the canal, a good hours walk. Lovely food and drink with a good atmosphere.

Lovely little place..the pie is supposed to be A1..but only had a 5 mins stop..nice place to walk from the Tudor campsite along the canal.. Will visit again

Fabulous, service excellent and the 3 shu pie was amazing. A whole meal in a pie. Loads of choices, meat and veggie. I had steak and landlord (Timothy Taylor) which was half the pie, then the was mashed pots with veg, then broccoli and cauliflower mornay all covered with puff pastry. Delicious

We refound this little star of a pub today. Excellent food, friendly staff, dog friendly and in a wonderful setting. The perfect family run country pub.

Visited while camping nearby based on reviews, exceeded expectations, super friendly staff, amazing food, pie was the best I've ever had, not overly expensive either, and dog friendly, can't recommend highly enough!

We had a great anniversary meal and it's a lovely traditional pub. The couple left per county where everyone in there knows each other. We were the only outsiders and it did NOT feel at all like a set of the Wickerman! Choose a pie, you cannot go wrong, we will probably only make it every couple of years as we live on a narrowboat and I won't be inclined to explore the rest of the menu. Hoping the owners stay the same. They obviously tuffed it through COVID, so let's they are OK. Cheers Mark, Beth and Basil

First time there, we ate in the bar with our little dog. The food was great, big portions and well cooked. If you're looking for a small village type pub then The Three Horseshoes is the place to go.

Friendly small pub with gorgeous pies. This was the 'regular' size Three Shu Pie, they also do a larger version! We tried Steak & Ale, Minted Lamb and Pork & Apple - which are 1/3 meat, 1/3 mashed potato mixed with peas & carrots and 1/3 cauliflower & broccoli cheese. £12.50 each, except the lamb, which was £14.50. All delicious. Son had ham, egg, chips and peas which was also amazing. Draught cider was nice and the kids had a 'henry'. Very happy. Daughter appreciated the sparkly loo!

Cosy pub with 2 separate areas; one for drinking with a log fire where dogs are welcome and a larger lounge area for dining. Good choice of real ales and ciders.

Superb! A proper pub serving great beer and food - no frills in an old building on the Frampton green. Can't recommend the 3Shu pies highly enough, especially the large versions after a cold walk alongside the Severn.

What a find, a little gem of a pub!!! The shu pies are to die for, flaky pastry topping, with cauliflower cheese, veg, mash and your choice of filling. I had fish pie, others had steak & kidney and one had the meat haggis pie...all beautifully made and delicious. Friendly locals and dog friendly. Staff couldnt have been more welcoming, supherb place. Thank You for making our visit a happy one, will def be back! Visitors from Leicestershire.

Great, well-kept beer, great atmosphere. The food looked very hearty and people seemed to enjoy it although we didn't have time to eat. A real gem of a pub in a beautiful spot. Definitely the best one in town for a cosy and warm rest after a walk along the canal.

Very pleasant small country village pub 1st time I've ever gone to the three horseshoe s on my walks in frampton on severn . I went in for a couple of drinks with my family . We were all impressed much more character then the other pub in the village called the bell . Will definitely visit again when in the area again .

Proper little pub in beautiful English Village. We wanted to go to try the 3 Shu Pie, and we were definitely not disappointed. Absolutely delicious, would highly recommend eating there.

Speciality pies excellent, rest of the menu rather unimaginative. Bar staff could have been friendlier. Pleasant outside space.

This is a great little pub! Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. Had some of the best pub food I've ever had today,the burger was amazing. All washed down with a very tasty rhubarb cider. If you are in Frampton I highly recommend you pop in. Excellent!

What a gem of a pub, visited whilst staying at a local campsite and staff very friendly especially the young barman and the pies are simply gorgeous, the portions are HUGE and the Haggis Pie with a couple of pints was the best meal we had in the area….highly recommend a visit.

Excellent service, food and location. Who could ask for anything more? The place is better than I remember it before covid. Well done to all concerned.
