The Third Crossing in Waveney

A lovely meal we had at the Third Crossing. Would like the vegetables not boiled, but pan fried as mentioned on the menu. However, was lovely and would come back again.

Arrived for breakfast and had a lovely cooked to order meal. Thank you so much as a hidden gem

The food was great. Lobster was so fresh and tasty. Really good value. The service was outstanding and attentive. Very friendly! Definitely recommend it.

Fair establishment with a very local feel to it. Food was fresh and portions were incredible. Not to mention the flavours were very well balanced.

Booked last minute having been recommended. We had shared the dsy before mussels and chips. Delicious and grest value. Today we shared the lobster thermidor new potatoes and salad. I would say the best we have tasted. So moist and tasty ssuce. Followed by caramel cheesecake and tiramisu. Excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

A great find whilst out , super lovely dinner. Would have cost me 3 X as much in many places in London.

First visit to this fabulous restaurant, a hidden gem. Went for my partners birthday whilst staying in the area but would happily travel from home to this perfect place for a meal. Fantastic food, great service by a lady called Jane. Would highly recommend this place. Compliments to the chef, well done, spot on. Had the crab/prawn croquettes and pork belly for starters, followed by lobster & prawn linguine 😁

Very friendly people and the service was excellent.

We did go there as so many of my friends talk so highly of the place . My fish was well over cooked 😞 some of the chips wa not cooked through. And my partners looked like it came out of a microwave. So 😞

Food was overcooked and 2 meals out if 4 returned to kitchen. Very Disappointed and sick when got home. Heard great things but not this night

Food cold, said it came with veg, but it would have fitted on a dessert spoon and cold again. Others were getting the wrong food.

Had a lovely full English brekkie. First time here. Food was served promptly, hot and more importantly was delicious and reasonable priced. Great customer service, warm and friendly.

We’ve just had a very tasty lunch at The Third Crossing. I was so happy to have a delicious piece of grilled haddock, being able to have it with no awful batter was fab and the chips were good too. My husband said his burger was very tasty and the beers were very much needed after walking from Lowestoft to Pakefield then Oulton Broad 🍻

What a lovely little place. Intimate, not too big with food to die for. I had lobster and prawn linguini and hubby had fish and chips. Both superb. Generous portions. Brilliant staff. Sited by the Marina so great views.. We will definitely be coming here again. Thoroughly recommended

First time trying after many people saying to, well this place did not disappoint one bit, service was brilliant food was fantastic as well, couldn't really fault the place if I'm honest, but I will definitely be recommending this place to other people, it's too good not to try it, fantastic.

Food unremarkable, bourginon was a flat steak which was over cooked, vivid orange cheesecake was served with no ice cream or cream. The starter was nice. Possibly we had an off night or maybe a stand in chef but the meal we had does not match the reviews we had read. The lighting is very bright as well, maybe need to tone that down to make it more clinical. Staff were efficient. I personally wouldn't eat there again.

Great food service was lovely by the lady. Hot food and presented well. Will return again for sure. Be good to fix stop the flicking lights. (And not have people at the bar with rude or loud voices only when we visited aprox 6pm ) It was stoped by a lady behind the bar quick which was good !) Over all Great lobster steak and chips .drinks fabulous. Thank you

Great, fantastic 👏 food. Good sized portions. V tasty and well presented. Decor is a little dated. Service was 1st rate. If u have never been there before, you can easily think you had taken a wrong turn. But perceiver, the food is worth the wait. There was no atmosphere, but it was a Fri lunchtime in Nov. I am sure it is better at other times of the year/day. In sum great food and service and that is what matters.

Amazing food, great choice of fish dishes as well as meat. Chef's specials as well to choose from. Not the cheapest place, but worth it.

Located discreetly in a mariner.... definitely a hidden gem. Staff were extremely friendly and always at hand. Initially only one other table was there but it soon got busy but this did not change the quality of the service. The starter prawns was served with the best garlic chilli butter sauce I've ever had. lobster was cooked nicely and the thermadore sauce. The sticky toffee pudding was the cherry on top of the entire meal

The food at this Restaurant has to be among the best we have ever enjoyed. And the portion sizes were just right. One of the best but not easy to find!!

This is a great location if you like boats as it is in the marina on Oulton Broad and because of this has good parking. The restaurant decor is really nice and the lady that served us was very friendly and helpful. The food though is to die for. My wife has steak and chips whilst I had the gammon steak and chips. Easily the best we have had, and the sticky toffe pudding and custard is just superb. I could not recommend this location highly enough.

A hidden gem! Surprisingly popular for midweek. Just returned from our visit tonight to celebrate our daughters birthday. Great welcome, friendly staff, food and portion sizes were excellent. Our server was Aiden who deserves a special mention. Polite,attentive but not intrusive and a friendly guy. Hygiene standards very high. Food servers wore gloves. Thank you all very much. We will be visiting more often.

Have been coming here for many a year , this time however a bit dissapointed. Steak meal was fabulous, burger meal definitely on the small side, and the monkfish meal we were all extremely surprised on how little the portion was only had a few mouthfuls of veg and few spuds, didn't fill me up so had a tiramisu but no taste of any coffee flavoring at all. For a nearly £90 bill expected better value.

The most beautiful fish we have had in East Anglia, very lovely staff and beautiful white wine...set in the Port Authority Area among the boats....fantastic place, we will be back!! Highly recommend

We went for lunch today as I love lobster and the reviews are good. It was excellent. I asked for the garlic sauce on the side and was no problem. My husband had the halibut with bean broth, again a lovely meal. If we lived nearer we would make it our place to celebrate. We will go back when we visit our friends again who live in the area.

My husband wanted lobster for our anniversary, so we booked here. He was not disappointed, he totally enjoyed his meal. I opted for burger and that was lush.

Was our first visit staff were extreemly polite&friendly food amazing I am a retired fine dining chef and was very impressed with quality of food the ribeye steak cooked to perfection Juicy and full of flavor.would highly recomend shall definetally be visiting again.

Very nice place to go for food, the grilled plaice that I had was delicious with new potatoes and peas, the dessert that I had was a raspberry and white chocolate roulade with raspberry ripple ice cream it was the best dessert I have had for a long time. I highly recommend this place to go to for either a lunch time or evening meal as you will not be disappointed.

The restaurant was very helpful accommodating our large party of 22. The service and the food was lovely. The restaurant was tucked away but has plenty of parking outside.

Nice location, nice indoors, friendly helpful staff. I've been here several times and it's normally quite good. I was a little disappointed in my last visit though, my black pudding was very dry and hard and the baked beans weren't very good. Another person at my table said their scrambled egg was grey

Had a brilliant Sirloin and lobster meal. Don't be put off by the road down to the marina. It feels like an industrial estate. Service was brilliant and very friendly and welcoming.

We had my wife's Birthday meal for 16 of family and friends. What great service by your waiters and waitresses, they are a credit to The Third Crossing. The food came out all at once no one was waiting, it was hot fresh and excellent tasting food. I would recommend The Third Crossing to anyone who is looking for great food and service. Great place to eat, friendly staff, good prices

What a fantastic place to eat. The ambiance was lovely as soon as we walked in and the staff were very attentive. As for the food, it was tasty, well presented, hot on arrival and I cleared my plate of halibut. All the courses we enjoyable and they even booked us a taxi when we asked. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. We'll done

Enjoyed a very tasty full English breakfast. Definitely recommendable

Went during what seemed to be rush hour with our family of five. Regardless of timing seemed well organised and Very friendly staff. Can get noisey when busy but not to loud you can't hear eachother. Food surpassed expectations and the dessert choice was incredible, I went for chocolate cola cake I can't recommend enough. Gave our compliments to the young chef she and the waitresses who served us done the team proud. Definitely would go again :)

Decent food..fresh fish...good service....and a view of the marina....What more do you need? Fish pie is very filling. Squid is delicious.

Lovely restaurant. Excellent seafood on offer together with other varied choices. Quality of a high standard, plentiful and nicely presented. Location is great, quiet and overlooking Marina in Oulton Broad. Outside seating area perfect for a summer evening. Staff were very friendly and professional. A lovely laid back atmosphere, can not recommend this highly enough.

Lovely restaurant, lovely food..

Fabulous! From start to finish, the food and service were absolutely faultless. The decor and design of the restaurant sadly does not do the staff and quality of the meal any justice. The servers were extremely professional. I had the lobster, my father had the sea bass and mother had the lemon sole. All were completely cooked to perfection. We finished with the citrus cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Delightful! Will definitely be back if we're ever in the area.
