We had a very enjoyable lunchtime party for our retirement fellowship in the Theodore Bullfrog’s upstairs room, with a fizz reception and a range of sharing platters from the function menu. It was all excellent. We were well looked after by MJ and Vadym was very helpful to liaise with in setting up the details beforehand. Strongly recommended.

It’s difficult to put into words. Near the iconic Charing Cross station sits the Theodore Bullfrog. We frequent pubs regularly but the service we received from a gentleman called Euan was second to none. A bartender? Nay. More appropriate terms would be sommelier, garçon - even friend. Euan guided us through our plentiful drinks options to absolute perfection. We are moving abroad soon, but already yearn to return.

Went for the Euros 2024 England game. Good stuff: - Service was good! Quick drinks and the bartender was very communicative. - Good food. Not so good stuff: - Small TV using basic sound delivered quite a low key viewing experience. - Upstairs of the venue was very dark and got quite chilly.

Lovely pub tucked away behind Charing Cross. I use this as somewhere to grab a quick lunch before shopping trips into Covent Garden. Food promptly served and very tasty never had an issue getting a table. Beer very well priced for central London. Has the advantage you don’t have to struggle getting down the crowded Strand Tip for getting to CG Go down John Adam street, cross the Strand, go up Nell Gwynn alley and you are in Covent Garden.

Stumbled across this pub a block or two off Trafalgar Square, and glad we did. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. My wife had what she described as the best hamburger in the UK, while I enjoyed very good Bangers & Mash. The sourdough bread and pickled vegetables were also very good.

Stayed in the 3 double bed self catering flat. Excellent accommodation, modern style with everything you need. Great location to explore London. Highly recommended...

Siamo arrivati per caso in questo pub al centro, ma in una stradina fuori dal caos. L’ambiente è molto accogliente e pulito( i bagni ad esempio erano impeccabili) ed anche i due (suppongo) proprietari si sono dimostrati simpatici e disponibili . Abbiamo scelto piatti tipici tipo fish and chips , 35 day aged bavette steak e un pasticcio con pollo crudo e delle verdure. Tutto ottimo ! I prezzi sono nella norma per Londra , ma stavolta ne vale la pena 👍🏻🥰

Great for a casual night out, tucked right off The Strand. Staff was very attentive, friendly & inviting. Drinks were delicious! We’ll definitely visit again the next time we are in London!

Had a fabulous retirement evening with friends in the Villiers Room. The staff were attentive and everything was delivered as requested. The bar snack platters were a real hit, range of drink met all tastes. A fantastic evening creating special memories. Thank you.

Went there on a Tuesday night with a group of 7. Starters were served after the main courses, weirdly. Staff apologized but didn't make up for it - no drinks on the house, no food taken off the menue or so. Food quality was fine, fish and chips were better than at most pubs. The atmosphere was a little more sterile than at other pubs. Drinks were fine and average, interestingly no vodka sours were served. Clearing tables with used dishes took one hour although we had asked twice for service, which was quite annoying.

Booking for a small leaving function. We had ordered some food platters and sides, which were really good, and quite substantial. It is a great atmosphere.

I hired out the upstairs function room for my retirement drink for my family a.d work colleagues Saturday just gone the service and food was absolutely amazing, Jordan the barman did an outstanding job serving drinks all evening , he was friendly polite and nothing was too much trouble. The entire event from the booking to the quality of food was brilliant thank you so much for making our evening so memorable. 5 star service. Mr Dellar.

Brilliant pub, very busy Thursday evenings, we had lunch there on the Friday and used it as a pre-wedding gathering point for Daughter’s wedding up the road at RSA House on the Saturday (brilliant venue). Service was excellent across all the time we were there AND it has a magnificent three double bed apartment on the second floor with own access - just brilliant for our wedding party. Manager Mike did everything we asked and more to help us - just great.

Even though I tried to pre book a table online, I wasn't called back. We went anyway, and someone hadn't turned up, so we had their table. Despite the fact that it was really busy with the 6 nations playing, the manager and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was really good, highly recommended

bullfrog ってウシガエルっていう意味なんですね。店名にカエルがついてるので、店の壁がグリーンになってました。ボタニカルアートやカエルの絵がインテリアとして飾られてて、おしゃれな感じでした。ちょっと一杯のみに立ち寄っただけですが、きれいで清潔なイメージでした。ビールもきちんと冷えてて新鮮でした。

Came here with my girlfriend for dinner however it wasnt exactly the best we ever had. We both had burgers and they were both plain no flavour to them at all. Perhaps the chefs forgot the salt. The service was ok.

Nice setting - as with all London pubs, expensive but worst of all blaring music ~ when asked could it be turned down slightly as we literally couldn’t have a conversation we were told, “it’s Saturday”. Not sure what that means but I’ve just walked past it today - early afternoon on a Monday - and the music is still blaring. If you want to talk to the people you come here with, learn sign language.

Mi esposa y yo aparecimos en Theodore Bullfrog para tomar unas copas con un amigo. Nos cobraron 16. 40 por tres tragos. . dos pintas de cerveza y una pinta de shandy.Precios ridículos. Los precios de Londres o no, en mi opinión, solo están estafando a la gente.Realmente no había nada para justificar esto. No hay jardín de cerveza, no hay mesa de billar, no hay entretenimiento para hablar. Hemos estado aquí antes y estuvo bien, pero parece que han subido los precios en un 25% en los últimos 6 meses. Solo siendo codicioso realmente.Nos hubiéramos quedado por la tarde pero decidimos mudarnos a otro lugar después de un par de copas a un lugar a un precio más razonable. Al cobrar de más, las personas solo se quedarán a tomar una copa o dos, luego se irán a otro lado y luego no regresarán en el futuro. Es una economía falsa realmente.Aparte de eso, era un pub encantador y limpio con asientos decentes y un buen ambiente.

Stopped in for a beer and a snack while wandering through the area. Fish and chips were very good. Also ordered chicken strips after seeing them on another table. Food was cooked well. Bartender suggested a fruity gin tonic drink that was very good!

Coming from another restaurant I space for more beer before I went to hotel for sleep and making preperation to next day. I tried 3-4 different beer and relaxed and order only roasted peanuts as something to eat. Nice restaurant and good service.

Luchando por encontrar un lugar para tomar una copa y encontré este pub. Ruidoso por parte de algunos empleados de PWC bastante pomposos en ruta a casa después del curso de capacitación. No hay nada especial en el pub, la cerveza o el personal, nada que realmente quiera dibujar en mi próxima visita a Londres.

Popped in for a Chicken and Bacon sandwich and a glass of prosecco. No problem with our service or quality of food but people around us had complained about their wait for food. It wasn’t too busy for a Saturday near Christmas so everything should be top class. Only average for me. Sorry.

Went for food and drinks, didn’t really go as planned. Ordered a steak, mushroom and blue cheese melt with truffle mayonnaise. When it turned up after about 45 mins it was basically a mushroom sandwich with a couple of strips of meat with no cheese or truffle mayo. We sent it straight back - after another 15 mins it reappeared as only half a sandwich. Sent it back again - it never reappeared so had to request a refund as we left. The staff although pleasant all seemed to instantly forget what we said to them. Another member of our party asked for ketchup several times to be told “I’m on it” “will get it now” but nothing. Final bugging point was that there was no soap in the toilet. I informed the guy behind the bar who told me 2 soaps had already been stolen today which he seemed to think reason enough to have no soap. After several requests he finally went to Sainsbury’s to buy some more. Maybe invest in a permanent dispenser as soap in a toilet is pretty important. A strange place indeed kind of like fawlty towers meets Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares.

Small group. Struggled to sit down, then found the music was at 120db. We watched four groups give up and leave before ordering because of the noise - we asked they turn it down as no-one seemed to be enjoying it, but no deal. Background music is fine, but this was ludicrous.

What a great little gem this place is. Just a bit off the beaten track is a lovely pub in central London that feels like a local rather than a tourist attraction. We dropped by for a drink and were really impressed. The food looked good too but we didn't eat there. We will definitely be back soon.

The place was virtually empty on my visit so not a lot of atmosphere, I suspect it would feel totally different at other times. I just had a couple of glasses of decent wine at not a bad price. The young lady serving appeared to be learning her trade but was very pleasant and efficient. Worth seeking out to get away from the crowds along the Strand.

Although not far off of the Strand it's worth looking down the stairs and side streets for different pubs and restaurants. We popped in here for a drink it was lively with a good atmosphere there were lots of people outside having a drink the service was quick and polite it had quite a modern feel.

We went here between theatre shows. I was pleasantly surprised that I could book a table and we were not disappointed to find a lively atmosphere and a nice menu of good pub grub. Well worth a visit

This place is right near Charing Cross & Embankment stations. Tucked away in a side street, it has an open, friendly feel. The upstairs you can hold events too which I have done before... they are amazingly accommodating.

Estábamos a 5 miembros de la familia, de los cuales dos no ir a la Galería Nacional y cerca de un agradable oasis para una cerveza y comida ligera. Este era un lugar perfecto, pub ordenadas con buena selección de cervezas y varios menús de almuerzo. El personal era muy cortés y servicial. La comida era deliciosa y ambiente elegante pero informal de negocios.

Posiblemente una de las peores comidas que he tenido en años. . Y, he sufrido unos shockers. Llegamos a las 2 de la tarde un domingo mediodía de finales de mayo. Quizás era un poco tarde, pero que tomó nuestra orden, así que suponemos que la cocina estaba funcionando normalmente, excepto que hubiera llevado la preocupación de la ensalada. El pub en sí era bastante agradable, pintoresco, agradable ambiente y algunas cervezas bien - pero la comida cuando llegó era pobre. Para ser justos, el halloumi hamburguesas (8 libras cada uno) fueron probablemente no es peor que su comida normal, pero la ensalada sosa pub cangrejo (también 8 libras) era inaceptable. Nuestro compañero-londinense - contó tres fragmentos de cangrejo en salsa de color rosáceo untado cruzando unas pocas rodajas de pan tostado. Me llegó de nuevo para el almuerzo! La comida era energéticamente como siempre gracias al chef hacen especial vegetariano/almuerzo vegetariano para nosotros! Almuerzo para el par de precio razonable para el centro de Londres. La comida era buen servicio, fue bueno. La televisión no intrusivo pero estamos en Canal 4 (F1) no fútbol gracias a Dios!

Became my work local when I took a new job across the road a couple of years ago. The building doesn't look good from the outside, but it is a decent pub once you are inside. Food is pretty good value, nothing special but nice enough. Staff usually very friendly. Toilets not the best (but not the worst either). Function room upstairs hosts an excellent quiz twice a month that is very informal and inclusive.

Stumbled on this pub while exploring a side turning off the Strand, it seems a good strategy because we got a warm welcome, a decent pint and all cheaper than the Wetherspoons at Trafalgar Square. Roomy, well lit space that gets packed by office workers but well worth a visit. Didn't have food but the menu of pubs grub looked great value

Siamo stati in questo pub per una rapida pausa pranzo. Il cibo non è male, fish and chips buono tutto sommato ma due pallini in meno per la birra davvero sotto la media delle buone birre londinesi e per i servizi igienici non funzionanti (neanche l'acqua nei lavandini....), cmq di buono ha la posizione centrale ed i prezzi con alcuni giorni della settimana in cui si può pranzare con 5-6 sterline

I visited the pub a few days before Christmas. Jay the landlord and the bar man Danny were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Had a last minute Christmas booking after other pubs in Charing Cross let us down, but walked straight into the theodore and got a very warm welcome from Jay and Liam who then sorted everything out for us! The food was lovely and accompanied by a great atmosphere. We were very well looked after by the boys - brilliant day and great pub!

Visited this pub on a Saturday early evening with a large group. The staff are all very welcoming, there is a large selection of quality real ales and lagers and the food is well cooked and well presented. The whole is very good value and a genuinely happy surprise for all of us. It is so close to the beaten track and was a welcome find.

Burgers were lovely, pizzas were small and the nachos were nice but we order spivey beef, had hardly any mince and it was dry.Toilets were questionable but the drinks were reasonable.
