The cafe was quite busy so we ended up in the back room and felt a bit abandoned. Lots of dirty tables and a radio playing intermittently. Managed to order when staff came through to deliver another couples order. Ok coffee and scones just not a very nice atmosphere as we were on our own in a basic room by then. Paid when we got our order in cash as we were not sure that we would be able to catch any attention later.

Five of us travelled to Fermanagh from Dublin for a funeral. When we realised we were in the wrong town the staff at The Thatch couldn’t have been more helpful! They rushed through our order, conscious of how much time we needed to get to our correct destination. The food was so delicious when it arrived not b even ten minutes later!! The tastiest chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever eaten and my friends agreed, all beautifully presented and the toasted wrap was equally as tasty. All so reasonably priced! I can understand why the place was so busy! I wish ‘The Thatch’ was closer to my home, I’d be their best customer!! They then gave us excellent directions to where we had to go. Such a pity we were in a hurry it would have been so lovely to sit and chat. It was a favourite town and often visited by our dear departed friend. I think Google maps brought us there for a reason!!

Google maps took us here by accident on route to a funeral. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, amazing homemade fresh chicken salad sandwiches and coffee . Excellent service. We were given directions and told how long a journey so we knew how long we had to enjoy our food. Only regret was our dear friend missed out she'd have loved this place. RIP Pauline

Our visit was disappointing, we sat and waited to be seen to whilst two tables in after us ordered & were served. We were sold on the homemade stew special by the young lady & our friends ordered soup & panini's. We waited 50 minutes for anything to arrive - having worked in the food industry for many many years running our own small business it's quite obvious when dishes are not home made. Our coffee order was wrong and when we brought this to the attention of a staff member, she seemed agitated and annoyed.

This a good small coffee shop around the border of NI and ROI. The cafe is a hit in the locals and a must visit places for it's good food and top notch service. We had ordered a Italian styled smoke chicken with caramalized pepper dressing and salad in a wrap and baked chesse potato with salad and chips. The service was upto the mark with a delay of harldy 10 mins in our order. It would be hard to find a table during the weekends so prior booking would be preferred. The shop has a common curb side parking as well. Also would surely recommend their deserts, the warm chocolate Ganache cake with ice cream is a must try.

We came here to have some soup after a walk, it was delicious. The place feels warm and busy during lunch time. It's a nice place to visit specially if you get a window seat. If you like traditional view you can see lots in here. If I'm not mistaken I saw an antique fishing lamp beside where we eat. On the opposite corner there was a cute decor of crabs but I'm not so sure if that was wooden or not.

While The Thatch has been a fixture on Main Street for a long time, when we visited mid-November 2023 it was under new management. On the first visit we each had a coffee and a scone. The coffee was delicious and the scone was everything I expected the home-made scone to be - juicy raisins, firm yet moist texture. It so happened that we were back in Belleek the next day, and we sampled the soup and sandwich combo. The vegetable soup was the ideal soup for the stormy weather and the sandwich was really fresh. We again had coffee and a wee dessert! The plates were bare when we left! Wishing the Thatch continued success!

We arrived with our special needs daughter and her assistance dog, and clearly the manager had an aversion to animals. Told us she had no tables, then a fellow diner offered us hers, as she was leaving. The manager didn’t engage with us as we took our seats, did not make us welcome. We felt extremely uncomfortable . There was no eye contact, no welcome, so we decided to leave and told her our reasons. She was discourteous and rude to us even though our daughter and her dog both wore disability identification. Shocking experience, diabolical treatment. We left saddened that in this day and age disabled people can be treated in such a way.

Considering it was quite Busy, the greeting was basic, the Service Slow, the Food was Cool, my wife's Tuna Toasty came with side salad with Jo Knive or Fork. Upon requesting those they were supplied but with the comment they weren't normally supplied with that dish. Really, how do you eat a salad without cutlery? With your fingers. The Thatch is one of my regular weekly stops. The sandwiches and desserts are simply fantastic. Service is excellent and very friendly. Even in these times of Covid the Thatch has taken great measures to safely accommodate diners in the intimate space. The only, and definitely only thing that is a negative is the coffee, and I mean this entirely in the spirit of constructive criticism. It's often sour which can be the result of under-extracting or too much of a course grind. On the milk side of things they often overheat/burn the milk. The sound of repeated plunging of the frothing wand is another indicator of bad coffee making technique and result is large foam bubbles rather than the micro-bubble foam necessary in a perfectly made latte. If they brush up on their coffee making skills (hint: bring in a professional barista to train) then my rating will definitely go up to a five. Overall, we love the Thatch and it's merry crew and will be coming back time and time again!

During our stay breakfasts were served in the Kove restaurant. There is a good selection of cooked items, cereals and fruits available so you are unlikely to leave the table unsatisfied. I only have two reservations. The scrambled eggs were left in an open dish under hot lights, and so went dry quickly. It should be possible to place a cover over it to preserve the eggs for longer. Also the orange juice/ grapefruit juice had been so over diluted as to render it to little better than slightly flavoured water. I'm sure this can also easily be remedied
