The Terrace Cafe-London in Islington

Excellent breakfast, friendly service! We were really hungry and zeroed in on The Terrace Cafe, close to our Airbnb. Ordered the Full English Breakfast and Terrace Breakfast. Full English comes with sausages, chips, beans, black pudding, eggs your style, mushroom and bacon. Black pudding was quite good, sausage was really good. Extremely filling breakfast. Terrace breakfast comes with hash brown, sundried tomatoes, eggs your style bacon, sausage, beans and mushrooms. This was quite filling too. Loved the hash browns. All items are made fresh upon order, and we were served within 10 minutes of ordering. Highly recommended!

The pumpkin cheesecake blondie was absolutely amazing!

Best omelette ever. A lovely lunch - we would highly recommend. Generous portion sizes and friendly staff. Only a two man team but you wouldn’t know it from the efficiency. Thank you!

This place is the best place for traditional english breakfast. It’s super good and delicious.

I had a lovely breakfast here this morning. It was absolutely delicious and prepared so quickly! The coffee was amazing and my partner and I felt so welcomed by the staff. As an added bonus, I was so surprised at how reasonably priced the items were! We had two large breakfasts and two iced coffees for just over £15! Great experience - cannot reccomend enough :)

Lovely staff, atmosphere and prices. Everything that came out looked really good and menu had lots of options. Pasta was superb, exactly what I asked for.

Really good English breakfast, delicious oat coffee, lovely staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended. *They close at 5pm on Sundays (Google says 7pm which is incorrect) Will be back for sure!

The team here are so lovely, makes you feel at home and I'd only just sat down. I got the standard English Breakfast and it was so good, not greasy at all. I would come back again. ❤️

I absolutely love this place already I’ve only been there once I got a sandwich my friend got the chicken and rice witch I highly recommend and my other friend got the carbonara witch agin I highly recommend really cheap and really friendly definitely will go agin when I am in the neighbourhood

They offer breakfast all day which is always a bonus when you want a late breakfast! Amazing atmosphere with vintage touches and lovely staff which were very accommodating to my dog! Will definitely visit again :)

Lovely little cafe to stop off for breakfast or lunch while you're wandering around Finsbury park, or towards the station. Food is good quality and portion sizes are generous so you definitely get excellent value for money. The staff have always been super friendly and chatty with me when I go in. Highly recommend heading here for food, doubly so if you like to support local businesses

Friendly staff, delicious, affordable breakfast, with a generous complementary mug of tea! The cafe is decorated great and I love the little decked seating area outside!

The ultimate local greasy spoon. Cheap and cheerful, which the quality of the food (I've had fry ups here) reflects. It's been full of workmen most times I've been which has given it a cheeky atmosphere that was fun.

Service and wait staff was friendly and efficient. Food not as described. Essentially any sauces were missing. No hummus on falafel wrap, no pesto dressing on goat cheese salad. Suspect we should have struck with having a fry up!

The best breakfast in London. This became our priority stop in the morning when my girlfriend and I were visiting London. Food is delicious, fresh and obviously made with a certain type of care. Portions are generous and the staff make you feel like family. Overall, my experience is one of fondest memories of our vacation. Will absolutely be going back when I visit in the fall.

I popped in for the first time this week for a coffee and the guys serving were really welcoming and friendly. I was recommended to try a coconut latte and it was delicious. I definitely suggest a visit if you're in the area.

Second time coming here and I love it. Eva and Ibriham are so welcoming, bubbly and informative. You can taste the quality in the food and their coffees' are made with love. The art and decor is also very cool. I have just tried thier new cakes/pastries and they are LUSH . Definitely worth 5 stars :)

I placed an order from the Terrace via Uber Eats the other day. The restaurant called me immediately to tell me they had run out of jacket potatoes, and to choose anything else I wanted from their menu, regardless of price (I chose the lasagna which was delicious). The order arrived with a tiny handwritten note apologising again for the jacket potatoes, along with a box of cannolis on the house! Amazing service from this place and some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten (thick sliced bread, loads of filling, 10/10). I love this place it’s one of my favourites in North London and would highly recommend it. Thanks guys!

Nice atmosphere with polite and fast service. We got pleasantly surprised when the coffee included in our breakfast was not the terrible press coffee, but a wonderful (not burned!) cappuccino. Prices are super good and the portions big. The cooking needs a bit attention as it was a bit oily in taste. Overall I would recommend.

A nice restaurant with friendly staff. Good food, affordable, with many varieties of dishes and sandwiches. Homemade juices, shakes, coffee and beers. Good discount offers for locals. Though traditional breakfast isn't traditional, it's a lot better than most.

The Terrace is amazing! Friendliest service we have ever experienced. Everyone was considerate and caring the minute we walked in, accommodating our food requests and ensuring all of our needs were met. One server in particular had a heart of gold, chatting with us, treating us, and really building a rapport with us. And of course the food was superb, with a different variety for different tastes. Whether you like bacon, veggies, or something in between, it was all delicious. Their prices can’t be beat. Tea and coffee included in affordable breakfast price. We came back to eat here every morning we were in London after discovering them for many reasons. We will be returning!

Very basic but priced accordingly sandwiches. Lovely little cafe environment with coffee, milkshakes, smoothies, and more. Good WiFi. But the standout was the service! Everyone was on point and super hospitible. I'll be back, prob every other day since I'm too lazy to make my own sandwiches.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I waited ages for my food I specifically asked for no egg on my veggie breakfast as I am vegan and allergic. They still gave me egg and when I called about it they said to simply throw it away in a rude tone. And told me that I can have a new one if I go and collect it instead of sending me another one. I have a small baby and it is currently snowing. So I am ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!

We've become lunchtime regulars here and are treated as such which is nice. We enjoy their salads and have then on a sharing plate with falafel and humous. Coffee is good too.

I worked for them....they are marvellous people to work with......they made me feel really cosy and comfortable....very nice members of staff and very polite and sensible customers......if only nothing had happened to me and I had some inconveniences I would still be happily working there..😊

This place is amazing. I ate here every day whilst I'm my course in London. Service is awsome staff are all super friendly. The food is reasonably priced and simply AMAZING...so fresh and delicious. If you want a take out, a bite to eat in for lunch or a chilled dinner I highly recommend this gem 😃

Looks like your typical Turkish cafe from the outside but inside is a different story! A huge sky light illuminates a long glass counter stuffed full of amazing home made food; salads, pestos, pastries, soups, desserts and lots more. They also have a fresh juice bar & stock a variety of tea, coffee, wine, snacks etc. to take home. Some evenings they have free live music too.

Decor is cosy and is open to enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast was clean and tasty. Plated up well and customer service was fab! Really nice family run business. Very kid friendly! Made my daughter feel welcomed, letting her draw on a orange for display and treated her to a lolly. Defo recommend and will be coming back for Sunday lunch.
