The Temperance in City of London, Westminster

Después de gastar más de 350. 00 en comida y bebida ordené una ronda de 15 bombas J a un costo de 40. 00 Regresé al bar 5 minutos más tarde y pedí una botella de cerveza y una Coca-Cola a la que me dijeron que lo siento señor, solo podemos servirle la Coca-Cola ya que ha bebido demasiado, ya que yo era el conductor del mini bus de la noche Traté de explicarle esto al supervisor del bar, pero ella no quiso saber nada, le pregunté su nombre pero ella rechazó todo lo que puedo decir, era una joven negra a la que le daría una calificación de 0/10 Nunca más volveré a este lugar

La carne è buona anche se vi consiglio di non farci mettere niente sopra perchè altrimenti rovina il sapore. Le birre anche sono molto buone. Il conto potrebbe essere migliore ma si sa che a Londra i prezzi sono diversi dai nostri in Italia. Servizio da migliorare

Un pub assez grand, dans le quartier de fulham. Nous y sommes allés en attendant le match de fulham (Craven cottage se trouve à quelques minutes à pieds) et nous y sommes retournés pour voir le match de rugby. Un pub très agréable, assez grand (environ 200 a 300 personnes), le match des six nations entre l'Angleterre et les pays de galles nous a ravi, une superbe ambiance !!!!!!

The temperance is one of the best pubs I have been too,great food, great selection of drinks which are good prices they show all major sporting events over 2 floors they have a DJ on a Friday night it's a different DJ every Friday so it's not the same music every week which is good, staff are friendly and welcoming they have a deal on basically everyday of the week weather it's food or drink definitely recommend this pub to everyone.

Este pub, ahora supongo en diferentes manos, es llamado el Royal Oak, aunque la última vez que fui allí fue llamado a la templanza. Fuimos un sábado por la tarde, cuando todo estaba extrañamente tranquilo...excepto el Royal Oak. Este estaba lleno, y es un gran pub. Y el nivel de ruido era tan alto que era incapaz de oír lo que me decía. Además, casi todo el mundo estaba comiendo, aunque solo fue las 5.00 pm. Seriamente pienso es un lugar para ser evitado por los londinenses nativos, pero para ser abrazado por los turistas.

Me encanta este lugar! He estado aquí muchas veces con amigos por comida, bebidas y para relajarse o tener una maravilla en los fines de semana. El ambiente es genial, agradable y tranquilo durante el día y por la noche anima. Los cócteles son increíbles, así como la comida. El personal es encantador y amable. Sin duda uno de mis lugares favoritos!

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a bar. The barman working on 29.01.2015 literally barked at us asking what we wanted and made some very personal and insulting remarks, I was completely sober and was ordering a non alcoholic drink with a friend. I cannot even write anything more here as his attitude and hurtful comments make me feel so bad. What a shame as the pub looked nice.

This pub has had some different names and lives in the past two decades, which makes you suspect that there are problems. Situated on a busy corner of York Street and just fifty yards from both Seymour Place and the Marylebone Road,I can not see how it can fail. It usually has throngs on the outside pavements, either when it is a sunny evening or a smoker's lunchtime. I have only ever snacked here, but I have frequently been in for drinks, and the staff have always been very friendly. I have always felt that it is a kind of student pub, or should be. It is relatively large, with lots of indoor chairs and tables, in addition to the aforementioned large pavement space and outside benches. I like to think it's there so that I can pop in for a drink.

There is nothing positive about my experience at The Temperance. Food took a very long time to arrive, clearly the kitchen can only cope with 2 orders at a time! Food was tasteless, Aubuergine bake more like baby food! And the so called superfood salad was a limp load of finely chopped lettuce leaf with a few pomegranates. At no point did anyone explain a long wait or apologise for the wait so clearly this is business as usual. I won't be back again for food! Very disappointed!

Pour se restaurer à prix raisonnable dans le quartier de Fulham à l'angle de Bishop's Park. Les plats proposés sont essentiellement des burgers, frites, salades et ce que nous avons pris était très bon... Le cadre est agréable et le service avait été sympa.

What a fantastic place to eat. Great service, great food, great staff. We were going to stick to the meal deal offer but decided to choose from the main menu, have the fish cakes, they are fantastic. We will certainly go to eat there again if we are near Putney bridge again.

About 6pm on a Wednesday evening and we stopped for a beer and to check the menu only to be told they were not doing food! Some USA tourists seeking a meal were turned away but the specials board was offering several choices???

A large group of family & friends visited the Temperance for a pre-booked christening meal in one of the private upstairs dining room & it was a delightful experience. We were a mixed group in terms of age & nationality & included some fussy ones. Everyone spoke very highly of the food & service. The first course of asparagus with parma ham was actually the best asparagus I have ever tasted with a delicious dressing. The entre was succulent chicken in a creamy white wine & mushroom sauce. Sounds ordinary? Well it wasn't, it was one of the most delicious chicken dishes I've ever had. Our charming waitress told me a lot of sage was used. I will try this. The Dauphiouse potatoes & green beans lovely. Chocolate torte was excellent & the raspberry coulis was fresh raspberries & freshly made, not that jam-like substance so often served these days. The wine was pre-ordered but all I can say is as a red wine drinker the Merlot on the table was very smooth & palatable. They looked after us all very well. The service was seamless & the timing between courses etc just right. As we don't get together very often we stayed talking & drinking coffee & wine for some time & the dining room was ours for as long as we wanted. Felt very at home. Afterwards a couple of us went down to the very comfortable bar for *one for the road* & were made welcome by the landlord (or manager). Although a busy London Friday early evening, the service in the bar was fast & efficient. This is a London local rather than a tourist trap, with good genuine Victorian decor, not kitsch, & so very much more better for that. We will eat here again next time we are in London, can't wait to select from their full menu. Thank you to the Temperance for helping to make our day special

Having visited London in March of this year with my guests, we ate a meal at The Temperance which was so good, we not only updated Tripadvisor about it at the time, we decided that on our December 4-day shopping trip, we would return to enjoy the place and its food again!!! We were not disappointed, as we were welcomed back - like family members - by Glyn and his colleagues last Sunday afternoon. There were six guests and myself and we could not wait to enjoy the ambience and the food again. As it was the first day of the Christmas menu, Glyn had decorated a table for us with Christmas crackers etc. Two of our group chose from the Christmas menu but the other 5 of us, although tempted, decided to order from the daily menu. None of us were disappointed in our choices!!! Glyn and his colleague on the day - Tom served us well with our drinks orders and the kitchen cook and staff showed their skills in the 'food' department. Having enjoyed it so much on our last visit we knew it would be good but I must say, the food and service provided this time surpassed our first visit!!!!!!!!!!! Well done yet again to Glyn and his team for making our second trip to The Temperance so special and so memorable. My fiancé and I plan a return trip to London next year and there is no doubt we will include a much anticipated return to The Temperance.

The food was great! The beer was even better! The people and environment were fun and welcoming. We went for lunch and plan to go back for tapas hour.

my friends eat and drink in the temperance and i meet them there,the pub is always busy,friendly staff, good beers, sometimes there is more people outside then inside, the place has a good buzz about it,well worth a visit.

My company relocated to the area and this pub is our local. Glynn the manager is superb and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and the food is really good and excellent value. I was surprised to find out that this ultra busy pub only has 2 members of staff in the kitchen and the quality of food turned out is exceptional. Limited menu but that is understandable but they always have a special of the day.I have been in the area for 8 months now and eat and drink here on a regular basis. The standards of The Temperance have not slipped even once.I really do recommend this as a must.

I only stopped here for a pint, but I have to say, I really liked this pub. It has a very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and wasn't packed with tourists like many others in the area.

Nous y sommes allés car nous l'avions vu dans un guide et nous n'avons pas été déçu.J'ai pris un fish and chips très bon et copieux et mon compagnon un hamburger. Les serveuses ont été très sympathiques, un gastropub chaleureux et sans chichis.

I am an English man, who, since retiring in 2002 now live in the Czech Republic. In March of this year, I travelled to London to host my Czech girlfriend and 4 other Czech friends who were visiting London (and the UK) for the first time. I wanted them to try a typical London pub but also a place which served good food. I could not have chosen better, as after some research on the internet, I discovered The Temperance.It was on Sunday 17th March (St. Patrick's Day) that we were warmly welcomed to this pub for our first Gastropub experience. We were met and served by a number of friendly staff but the main man of the day was Glyn, who I believe was the manager. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his colleagues. The food served was delicious and well received by my guests. We chose from a selection from the menu and one guest chose a 'Special of the day' which was a fish casserole. It was superb. I have been so impressed with this place and Glyn's hospitality and good service, that I have booked to return in December this year with my girlfriend and 5 other UK friends during a Christmas weekend in London. I cannot wait to renew old acquaintances and enjoy the fantastic food and service.

Went for a quick bite to eat on Wednesday and was happily surprised when we found out they had a mussels and fries deal for only a tenner. The food was really good and service fast and friendly. Will be going back again with friends for a longer dinner next time.

HiWeek end in London was finished off by a great Sunday lunch at Temperance. They looked after us really well, the food was fantastic abd the staff were friendly and helpful.We'll visit Temperance again on our next visit to London.
