Found this place after a morning of fishing and so glad we did! Great takeaway set up, super friendly service, cakes clearly made with passion, they were to die for! We couldn’t decide which to buy so bought all 4! Was going to save two for later, but they were too good to keep, so ate all 4 with a lush cuppa overlooking the sea - mmmmm delicious! Thank you for sharing a little slice of happiness with us!

Was recommended as a place to not miss by another couple we met on Holiday. Definitely did not disappoint. Delicious food in a perfect setting.

We totally found this place by accident. We had trouble finding restaurants that fit in our hiking schedule on Skye and just turned into this tearoom because it was open when we finished the Quirang. It was exactly what a tearoom should be. It was lovely in decor and superb service. After hiking in the raining, this was an oasis. They also have some trinkets for sale which we purchased some items to take home for souvenirs. Do not miss this tearoom!

Like others found this tea room by accident. Great sandwiches in a historic house, the original church manse, designed by Thomas Telford. Be warned closes early so check website. Well worth the stop.

Skye is lovely but it's little finds like The Telford Tea Room which makes it special for me. It was an unexpected find as we have visited Staffin before and ended up at the Community Cafe. We love everything Telford and went to see the church and found the Tea Room by accident. Very quaint. Loved how it was in someone's front room! Food/sandwiches and tea were excellent and made it special. Staff/owner was lovely and we chatted about the church and she had some written information too that we read. We also loved the bathroom. I would definitely recommend.

Friendly, olde world setting for classic tea rooms. Limited menu, but that should not detract from the high standard.

Stopped by after a hike after seeing a chalkboard sign mentioning tea. We probably looked disheveled but were greeted and welcomed in anyway. We went all out on the afternoon tea for two and left extremely satisfied and stuffed to the brim. Great tea and sandwich selection. Ended up taking the dessert treats to go because it was too much food. It's not cheap, but we felt it was worth it and would gladly return.

Just back from a family lunch with our two children. The food was lovely and I’m glad I opted to go for cake as well - really fresh, flavourful and moist. Above all this was the care and attention for our children (5 and 3). They were really well looked after and that didn’t mean colouring or toys, but just little attention to details - sandwiches cut into fingers, nice garnishes and crisps, hot chocolate with extra milk to cool it down, a little treat when they finished. All of which was in a lovely setting. Highly recommend

Three of us called in for lunch. We were made very welcome. The tomato and basil soup was lovely and filling. The coffee and homemade cakes were equally good. An excellent place for lunch.

Stopped here for Tea and Coffee on way through Staffin, we only stopped for a hot drink and stumbled upon this on the way through the village. We found the staff to be friendly and warm and it looks like a brilliantly ran small family venture we would definitely go back!

PRO: Not many cafes around for number of tourists so was good to find a place; Staff were attentive and pleasant. CONS: OVER PRICED...we had lovely scones & tea in town (Portree) the day before and we were charged less than half the price of The Telford. TO SUM UP: Set in a traditional room (too many tables for space) - floral decor...nice enough if you like that old world style. We wouldn’t recommend it here as their coffee/tea/scones cost a lot more than other places even though they serve similar quality to cheaper places. Sandwiches looked like better value but we didn’t try them on our return journey (which we considered)...more the principle of feeling ripped off. I make scones at home...ingredients are cheap & so quick to make so no excuses for overcharging.

Very homely place. We had piping hot and tasty leek and potato soup served with a roll, followed by roast beef sandwich with a little salad and crisps. Generous pot of decaf tea served with fresh scone and jam. Thumbs up.

We drove past and almost missed the sign! So happy we turned around and went inside. We had just finished a hike in the drizzle and wanted to warm up with tea and a snack. We were lucky to find amazing soup and sandwiches along with our tea! Vegetarian and gluten free options available as well, so we were pleasantly surprised. Could not have found a better place for tea and a light meal.

Cozy room, attentive service, but unconscionable price for nothing special. Cream seemed to be old. I felt "taken to the cleaners".

We were taking in the sights of northern Skye and looking for sustenance. I am so glad we spotted the sign for The Telford. Down a small track it is literally a tearooms in a gorgeous home. The welcome was friendly and I even managed to persuade hubby to indulge in afternoon tea. A welcome brew in lovely china combined with beautiful sandwiches, scones fresh and crumbly from the oven and some lemon drizzle cake and chocolate bites. Well worth a visit.

We stopped in on a cold, rainy day as we were driving the Trotternish Peninsula. What a hidden gem! This lovely home offers teas and coffees and freshly baked goods made that day by the owner. They also offer soup and light lunch. You really can't go wrong with anything you order - it's all fresh and made from scratch right there. If you are missing a good strong cup of coffee, you've come to the right place! The prices are quite reasonable and the service is excellent. Don't miss this lovely tea room.

We stopped in at the Telford Tea Room on the recommendation of the Pie place down the road who were full. The service was impeccable, cakes amazing (we had chocolate cake to die for, and an excellent brownie), and the carrot and coriander soup was worth driving up from the mainland for! The house is also beautiful and we had such a pleasant experience having a light lunch whilst escaping the wet weather outside!

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! We were driving by and found it by chance. The crispy chicken burger was really tasty. My kids loved the nachos and loaded fries. The food quality and taste were amazing, and the prices were very affordable. If you’re in the area, it's a must-try, and the view from the place is breathtaking.
