this place is what i would call cheap and cheerful with a lovely friendly quiet atmosphere. £3.50 for a small fry with tea for less than than £5, you cant complain.quality is fine, nothing elaborate and service was lovely. would i go back? yes

We visited the tea pot as it was opening at 0800. Not the best time to visit a hostelry / restaurant. The staff were polite and welcoming, the tables clean ,and the surroundings pleasant, and the floor was spotless.. This is a hard thing to pull off on such a busy thoroughfare on a morning with inclement weather. We ordered a fry with coffee and coke for myself , and my wife ordered croissant with suki tea. The waiter was attentive , making sure that my wife was attended to , the food was promptly delivered to the table and was lovely. We drank our beverages at our leisure and were not rushed out the door like so many establishments feel the need to do these days. The price was absurdly affordable , again given the busy , expensive location of the shop. A wonderful experience. Well worthy of full stars.

Received a delivery with hair in the food, the driver/owner argued with me on the doorstep after taking the hair out of the food to compare it to mine (which was completely different) calling me a liar as other people say they have received hair in their food! To clarify there was hair in more than one item of food on the French toast there were hairs in a knot, and a single hair in the fry, to which he said would be highly unlikely, one food maybe but two no chance. Well it happened! Still awaiting a refund!!
