The Tardebigge in Bromsgrove

We arrived before advertised opening time. The staff were very pleasant, as we ordered a drink. A few minutes later, we were informed that as the kitchen was ready, we could go into the restaurant. Staff were very helpful and polite all through the visit. The food was served well and tasted delicious.

Superb food. Private dining room is great for a small gathering. Can't fault it

Fabulous olde worlde flower-decked pub in Bridgnorth. Lived up to its reputation. The food was delicious and reasonably priced- one of our party had the ploughman’s-the best I’ve ever seen!

Held a wake here last week in a private function room, was faultless from start to finish. Excellent hot and cold buffet, all food wonderfully fresh. Attentive staff without being intrusive. No hesitation in recommending. A huge thank you to Tom and his team.

Went for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. The venue is light and has a calm atmosphere. The staff were well trained and very attentive. The food was very well presented and flavoursome. Well done.

Popped in on Friday night, for friends leaving party 🥳 staff are great joined in on the banter 😀 👍 I missed the cut of point for ordering food but the staff I forgotten the guys name 😢 came out with a bowl of chips and sauces top man cheers to all that worked Friday night will be back soon 👍 😀

Once visited as part of a large group. Quick bar service and food on the table prompt,hot and delicious. If I'm ever back in the area,they can expect a visit.

Food excellent, decor very flamboyant. Music a little loud for eating but we did have the dog so were in the bar which may have been louder. Great outdoor space.

Used to love this place and visit regularly, after a meal in there this evening I can’t help but feel it’s dropped off quite a bit. We were literally the only people eating in the restaurant area in the late afternoon (5pm) and the service was very slow, seems many youngsters work there now (which they always have and have been great in the past) which seem more interested in having a laugh with each other, absolutely nothing wrong enjoying your work just a pitty it came at the expense of good service. When my steak finally arrived there was no steak knife, the table was sticky and service was very lacklustre (no recommendations, no checking if food was ok when it arrived, didn’t even ask if we wanted a drink prior to ordering food). After waiting approximately 15 minutes after our meal we finally got the plates taken away, we paid the bill and left, food overall was good but standards have certainly slipped a bit. It’s the first time I’ve eaten there in the past 7 years without leaving a tip. Sad to see it. Hopefully a one off.

Large pub with efficient service and good food.

Didnt have food..it was Euro final night and had table service which was great..atmosphere was tense but good natured..its my local pub but drinks are expensive .over all really very nice.

Really beautiful building and 5 star service. But you do pay for it. Although not as pricey as i imagined when i walked in, but a tad more expensive than a normal pub.

The three stars are for the lovely waitress and decor cos the food was awful I asked for a salad and was told they only do them in the summer and this was the 29th June in massive resturant there was only 2 people

I was nearby needing lunch. Found this on Trip Advisor and the food was spectacular. I went expecting to eat off the main menu published online, but the specials had a regional Indian theme - I wanted all of them! The ones I chose were superb. Just a shame I don’t expect to have a reason to be in the area again because I’d go definitely go back.

Fantastic pub/restaurant. The décor is lovely. Very clean and tidy. The beer is one of the best. The food. Wow. Stopped for lunch. 2 courses for 16.50 a head and a free drink included. Well cooked and presented. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Tho not cheap but definitely not expensive as some places I've been too. The service is wonderful. Even going above and beyond for our 4 month son.

Great place for a meal or just some drinks. Very spacious, plenty of seating inside and out, with a decent selection of drinks. Can feel a bit empty at quiet times due to the sheer size of the place.

We eat here regularly and always have great food and a lovely time , as someone with severe food allergies I thought booking the bottomless brunch was going to be a real problem, but yet again they proved to wrong . They really went the extra mile and produced amazing food , catering for all my allergies! Thank you for a lovely afternoon, lovely staff , and special thanks to the chef of course !

Pub has had a refurb since I last went there,looks like a nice wedding/ party venue. The food was nice, we had fish and chips, although they mashed garden peas and claimed they were I mushy peas. Nope. Nice place,will go again

Very nicely decorated, light and airy. The room was pleasantly laid out. The food was very nice, I had a steak my wife had a chicken pie both were very excellent.

Friendly staff in a clean and well organised pub. We actually attended a funeral wake In a marquee at the side of the pub. The finger food was lovely and the chips were chunky, fresh and hot!

Family party was excellent food and service perfect highly recommend 👌

If you go here for nothing else you've got to try the mushy peas, they are the best I've ever tasted, in fact the only disappointment about this place is that I was that full I couldn't eat any more. Staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly, can't wait to go back

We hired the private dining room for my parents diamond wedding anniversary. There were 16 members of the family and we had a fantastic memorable afternoon. The staff could not have been better, so friendly, relaxed and helpful. I can recommend this venue and especially the private room for any small special occasion. We will definitely return soon.

Excellent food served by friendly and efficient staff. Good choice of wine and the mushy peas we had with the fish were by far the most delicious mushy peas I've ever tasted. The chef was even kind enough to give me the recipe. I will definitely be back.

Eat here often and they always deliver. Food is well prepared and tasty. Presented lovely. Staff are great. Dog friendly. The garden is lovely in the summer and their roast Sunday dinners are divine.

Popped in quickly for a bite to eat yesterday with my parents it Was busy but we were attended to immediately with a very warm welcome. The food was great and the staff were all really really friendly, regularly checking in to see if we needed anything. Really great place, i have been a few times now ans its always amazing🤩

I would recommend this place to everyone for every reason you can think of. Wanted somewhere to celebrate with the family our dad's 65th birthday as he hadnt planned anything i called the tardebigge at last minute on the Wednesday hoping they could fit us in, as there was 12 of us in total I wasn't holding out much hope, to our luck they fitted us in, they sent us a pre order form and menu so we were able to choose prior to arriving to make the meal run smoother. This morning, i received a phone call from them to say they had decided to upgrade us to the private room so that we could have the oval table and all enjoy the afternoon in private. Upon arrival, we were shown to room so that we could decorate it, and they had even put the fire on to warm the room up for us. Within minutes of arriving, a lovely young girl (shannon) who was looking after us awaited our drinks order. After the drinks were served, we were asked if we wanted our food. One of the guests wanted to add to his order, and they accommodated our request with no hesitation. All starters, mains, and deserts were expectional and cooked to perfection. Every plate was cleared. All of the servers were second to none. They couldn't do any more to help us and went out of their way to make us feel so relaxed, the birthday celebrations couldn't have been any better. Thank you guys you made our day one to remember

Great service , food and value for money !

We booked a table for 8 for a 75th birthday party. We asked for a quiet table somewhere a little private and the request was perfect and suited everyone. The staff were very good at dealing with our requests more so when my little girl was sick by the table and also helpful when my nephews chair broke under him. The food came in a good amount of time considering there was 8 of us to serve. However everyone found the food to be luke warm, which meant in 2 bites it was cold. Me and my partners chicken was really tough and chewy which is not a good endorsement when an establishment can't cook chicken. The desserts seemed basic but ok. My partner tried the cheesecake but she said it grainy with a sharpness that made her feel a bit sick. The atmosphere was lovely. It was a bit drafty but for the size of the ceilings you can see why. I would say that the food is OK but it does need to have some improvement on the basics for the price.

Got there for 7pm didn't have our first drink till 7.45pm then our food till 9pm

First visit. My wife requires gluten free and we were impressed with number of GF and GFA items on all menus. She enjoyed a wonderful battered haddock and chunky chips. The food was complemented by good wine, beer and friendly and attentive service. Will definitely be back.

We popped in here after walking the canal and visiting the reservoir. We only had drinks, but the place was big, clean and comfortable. It was really nicely decorated inside, there was seating outside and a parking area.

we went for a meal tonight on a whim. I had heard good things so decided to try it out. They were correct! the food was incredible, staff were friendly, we were served by George and Shannon, it's clean and vibrant. definitely somewhere we'll go again!

Recent stop after a canal walk, hadn't been since it had a make over and it looks really nice. Didn't eat there so can't score on food. Will be popping in again and maybe have a bite to eat.

The food, decor, atmosphere and friendliness of staff was all top notch. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our food, but I guess done things are worth waiting for!

We enjoyed the set lunch menu, which was appropriately priced. Service, food and atmosphere were friendly and relaxing. The ideal place to enjoy a meal during the aftermath of Christmas.

Visited yesterday (24th of December) for lunch and had such a great time. Our waitress was very friendly, lovely and smiley... She made us feel very welcome throughout the whole meal, she's such a great asset to the team I believe. The manager was very polite and professional too! The food was good and the espresso martinis were to die for! Our table was a bit sticky, not dirty, but maybe just needs sanding and a new layer of varnish lol. Will be back and recommend 👍🏼

Food is a bit hmm wasn't so good for that price .We were 2 parents and 2 teens and paid £200 we haven't even had dessert.Tables are very small ,you can't feel comfortable,and chairs are absolutely painful sitting on it for more then 30 min.That all

I have visited this pub many times and service and food has been excellent. Saturday however, my friend food didn't quite met the standards. Also her starter came after main course. My food was fine. Lovely shift manager however sorted it for her. Definitely will visit again

I've been here once or twice, but my second visit was a lovely evening with some friends a few weeks ago. It was nice and quiet, very cosy in the bar area with the booths and delicious icey staropramen on tap. My friends ate but I didn't, they said it was delicious! Definitely coming back again 😁

We were left waiting a very long time for our food. Food was good but we had a child with us who it was agreed would have his meal with out starters. Meal didn't arrive, had to ask for it. Then we had a very long wait for our main course. We kept asking for coffee afterwards, we asked several members of staff. There was no apology for the wait, won't be rushing back there again

The food here is very good, it is only let down by the service, this is attentive but very poorly trained, they try their hardest but management need to provide more training. The venue is nice but the high roofs can make it feel a bit soulless if there is not many people in there.

The food was served quickly. It was very tasty and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We went for lunch and chose items off the set menu which was good value as it included a drink. The food was absolutely superb, especially the sausage and mash. The dining area is very ornate and attractive. Surprisingly there were not many customers We knocked a star off the atmosphere rating purely because it was so quiet but otherwise a great place.

This certainly isn't the whacky warehouse of old with sticky tables and empty crisp packets lying around. It's now a place with bright floral features and a welcoming smile. With a not to busy menu that has everything catered for in its own qwerky way.

We came in for a drink on Sunday afternoon (we were on the canal for the day in a narrowboat). It is a huge barn of a place - one has the impression that it has been converted into a pub and that previously it was an institution for wayward boys and girls, or perhaps the generally bewildered. On the whole it's a bit of an unprepossessing building. Anyway, it had a decent range of beers (Purity Mad Goose which is a good beer) and was fairly priced. Outside there was loads of parking and gardens and equipment for children and there were some children there (although overall I thought that it was a bit quiet really - which siuits me down to the ground). We didn't eat but we saw some of the plates and they looked ok. It gets 3 stars because it's just a bit odd. Too big in my opinion but you may disagree.

I have just had the most excellent Lamb Rogan Josh curry on the second curry evening at the Tardebigge Excellent portion and very good value for money Well done to the chef’s

Expensive. Food didn't match the price. Pork was dry, no taste to the Yorkshire pudding. The strawberry sweet with clotted cream was just a lump of cream with a few tiny strawberries and hardly any evidence of meringue. Won't go again.

The major letdown of the Tardebigge is the service, taking over 30-45 mins to bring the bill on both occasions I have visited aswell as the food taking about the same time to arrive and being barely warm with gravy being the savior of the dish.
