Such a great selection of ales here.. certainly among the best in st Anne's and Lytham!

Always call into this lovely little pub when we visit Lytham but was a bit disappointed to find out this time that they no longer serve food . On the bright side though the couple of pints of Speckled Hen I had were up there with the best I’ve ever had.

Traditional, long established pub in the middle of Lytham, surprisingly spacious inside with a secluded beer garden if the weather permits. Always a wide range of cask beers and ciders, sandwiches and snacks from the kitchen. Definitely worth a visit if you want a change from Lytham’s trendy bars.

Best assortment of real ale north of Mersey. Pubs with multiple ales on the tap are a rate find theses days, and the Taps, true to its name, offer almost double figure options. Some regulars, always complemented by guest ales from smaller breweries, and always something new to try. It's been a while since I gad a meal here, so I'll skip the food review for when I have something more recent to comment on.

No food ordered but good beer selection and great atmosphere. Perfect location too.

The Taps is, as always, a great real ale pub. Great "meet the brewer" event with Lord's Brewery last night with free beer tasting.

Called into this lovely pub on Saturday night with friends. Unfortunately while sat at the bar the glass collector accidentally spilt beer all over me.He was so apologetic and embarrassed and helped me clean up, the landlord Steve was very helpful and this did not spoil our night, we all had a good laugh about it we will definitely come back such a great pub

First visit to The Taps in Lytham, what a great place. Friendly service at the bar, great selection of real ales, we had the chicken & bacon & Fish goujon ciabatta sandwiches With chips from the lunch menu, really delicious and great value for money. Lovely traditional pub, we will certainly return.

Rude staff a nd nasties after..on smoronf vodka. Would not come here again.may me feel like a 2 class citizen.

This is my Local pub and being a real ale fan it is heaven, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and cosy how a real pub should be. CAMRA members discount.

Always good for a well kept pint of cask beer - good range on offer. Very popular, good pubby atmosphere.

Loved it in here, great little bar. Estrella on tap was delicious. Sport on big TVs and friendly staff all made for a good afternoon. My only regret was not booking a table as everything was reserved. Oh well, live and learn. Next time I am back in lytham I will definitely return. Well done.

Outstanding range of beer in a classic beer drinkers pub. Regrettably, service quality has decreased over the past 5 years, often not enough staff at peak times.

Great traditional pub brick walls log fires good atmosphere. Packed both times we went in.

Oldest pub in town. Decore is old and worldly.

I t cannot be as good as it used to be but it's still far superior to anywhere locally. It's was always about beer and hence national awards. The taste has been maintained but something needs doing on staff training as ale appears too often with reverend collars.

Friendly staff relaxing atmosphere and good ale, what more can you ask? Outside seating area and smoking area, with heaters.

Went in for a quiet drink with the dog. Got the drinks and sat down. Ten minutes later we were told no dogs are allowed. I wouldn't have minded so much if the place was a plush establishment but it was rather tatty with a section that looked like an old folks home which I assume was once a darts room.

Always try to call in here when visiting Lytham for a pint or two. On the Hawkshead ITI New Zealand Pale tonight. Only 3.4% but packed full of flavour.

Fantastic place 🖒🖒 had a brilliant meal Steak and Ale Pie with chips ,peas and Beef Dripping Gravy which was sooo tasty and Excellent,Fast service to go with it !! It was also very reasonably priced and the have lots of beers to choose from but they had my favourite cider which is Aspells Draught !!Definately Well worth a Visit you will not be disappointed 10/10 🍻🍺🍻🍺👍👍❤️❤️❤️😉😉

First visit to The Taps. Lovely pub. Excellent selection of cask ales from the likes of Robinsons, Hawkshead Brewery and Greene King. Very friendly welcome and the beer garden was a nice place to have a couple of pints. Highly recommended.

We dropped into The Taps for a beer and we're so impressed with the whole atmosphere that we came back for dinner! Chef Ross provided an amazing fish and chips, bar staff Joey and Beth made us feel very much at home. Would thoroughly recommend this pub. Lovely outdoor space too. Food top notch, spotlessly clean and welcoming.

Greene king pub with a good selection of ale and ciders. About 12 on, I’m presuming a few regulars with rotating guests. One I had was refreshing and well kept. Not usually a fan of greene king pubs but this one is fairly tastefully done out as it does retain some character of the old building ( wooden beams etc ) nice space outback and a sun trap.recommended if in lytham. 🍻 🌞

We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. A traditional old pub with lots of dark wood inside and a smallish but cosy outside courtyard that is a proper sun trap. A good selection of craft/real ale. The ladies bathroom was a real surprise, see photos.

Sorry, I am giving this pub two stars. We ordered two Beyond burgers but what we received were two supermarkets own brand vegan burgers (£2 for a pack of 8) and no vegan cheese as stated on the menu. If we had been informed when ordering we would have gone to Wetherspoon instead at a fraction of the price (including an alcohol beverage as well). The pub itself is very nice as were the staff. Otherwise I would be rating this pub 1 star. We most certainly won't be eating here again.

Great range of quality ales always served in top order!

This was such a disappointing meal. It would be great to have a local pub that serves good food in Lytham other than the queens. We gave the taps ago and unfortunately it didn’t deliver. Pie was store bought, chewy meat. Mash was microwave mash with a sliver of cabbage as accompaniment. Chicken Kiev was fried chicken rather than a Kiev. The staff however were very friendly and polite,they just need to majorly up their game in the kitchen.

Great pub..excellent selection of cask ales...but prices have reached over £4 a pint so don't thin we'll be having any sessions there.
