Very busy pub with a great atmosphere and a very good selection of well looked after beers

Lovely cottage, near to everything.

Went here to celebrate my sons birthday, great afternoon wad had by all.

You'll find an abundance of fine cask ales here. This is a truly lovely place. 😍

Great pub... pity I do not see many of the old locals and Lifeboat crew.

Outstanding range of beer in a classic beer drinkers pub. Regrettably, service quality has decreased over the past 5 years, often not enough staff at peak times.

Always plenty of top notch real ale to choose from. Great food, too.

Oldest pub in town. Decore is old and worldly.

I t cannot be as good as it used to be but it's still far superior to anywhere locally. It's was always about beer and hence national awards. The taste has been maintained but something needs doing on staff training as ale appears too often with reverend collars.

Had a drink. Nice and quiet when we went.

Friendly staff relaxing atmosphere and good ale, what more can you ask? Outside seating area and smoking area, with heaters.

Went in for a quiet drink with the dog. Got the drinks and sat down. Ten minutes later we were told no dogs are allowed. I wouldn't have minded so much if the place was a plush establishment but it was rather tatty with a section that looked like an old folks home which I assume was once a darts room.

Always try to call in here when visiting Lytham for a pint or two. On the Hawkshead ITI New Zealand Pale tonight. Only 3.4% but packed full of flavour.

Fantastic place 🖒🖒 had a brilliant meal Steak and Ale Pie with chips ,peas and Beef Dripping Gravy which was sooo tasty and Excellent,Fast service to go with it !! It was also very reasonably priced and the have lots of beers to choose from but they had my favourite cider which is Aspells Draught !!Definately Well worth a Visit you will not be disappointed 10/10 🍻🍺🍻🍺👍👍❤️❤️❤️😉😉

First visit to The Taps. Lovely pub. Excellent selection of cask ales from the likes of Robinsons, Hawkshead Brewery and Greene King. Very friendly welcome and the beer garden was a nice place to have a couple of pints. Highly recommended.

We dropped into The Taps for a beer and we're so impressed with the whole atmosphere that we came back for dinner! Chef Ross provided an amazing fish and chips, bar staff Joey and Beth made us feel very much at home. Would thoroughly recommend this pub. Lovely outdoor space too. Food top notch, spotlessly clean and welcoming.

Greene king pub with a good selection of ale and ciders. About 12 on, I’m presuming a few regulars with rotating guests. One I had was refreshing and well kept. Not usually a fan of greene king pubs but this one is fairly tastefully done out as it does retain some character of the old building ( wooden beams etc ) nice space outback and a sun trap.recommended if in lytham. 🍻 🌞

We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. A traditional old pub with lots of dark wood inside and a smallish but cosy outside courtyard that is a proper sun trap. A good selection of craft/real ale. The ladies bathroom was a real surprise, see photos.

Sat in the little beer 🍺 garden at the rear sun was out which made it a lot better lovely little Pub.

Sorry, I am giving this pub two stars. We ordered two Beyond burgers but what we received were two supermarkets own brand vegan burgers (£2 for a pack of 8) and no vegan cheese as stated on the menu. If we had been informed when ordering we would have gone to Wetherspoon instead at a fraction of the price (including an alcohol beverage as well). The pub itself is very nice as were the staff. Otherwise I would be rating this pub 1 star. We most certainly won't be eating here again.

This was such a disappointing meal. It would be great to have a local pub that serves good food in Lytham other than the queens. We gave the taps ago and unfortunately it didn’t deliver. Pie was store bought, chewy meat. Mash was microwave mash with a sliver of cabbage as accompaniment. Chicken Kiev was fried chicken rather than a Kiev. The staff however were very friendly and polite,they just need to majorly up their game in the kitchen.

Walked in waited till our turn at the bar and someone came in behind us and got served instantly without even putting an order in then someone else walked up to the side hatch and also got served without ordering both before us as we were blanked by the staff obviously need to be a regular or your not good enough won't be making it a regular place to go even though its down the road

Lived here 8 years and can't believe we missed The Taps. Been in a few times now and can truly say it is a joy to visit. Lovely atmosphere and the most friendly and polite staff. We hope the owners know what a great team they have . Regulars now as making up for lost time!! Thanks for making a pub visit so pleasurable..

Always been a firm favourite any time we visit Lytham! In my opinion, you shouldn't visit Lytham and not go here for a drink! Great selection of drinks, especially the real ales, they're kept in tip top condition and I can safely say I've never had a bad pint there! Plenty of out door seating, which most is under cover! There's also a real fire, lovely cosy pub and have no issues recommending at all!

Excellent service for my sister's birthday meal. They even let me bring a shop bought cake in, and brought it out with the candles lit, as a surprise for her, she was very happy! Would have preferred a table by the fire, but as the fire wasn't lit, it didn't really matter. It was also extremely busy, so we were happy to be in our own little private nook of the pub :) very cosy, country feel with lots of lovely character in the pub, would definitely recommend!

The shining star of Green King pubs!!! My first visit to the taps was around a year ago and I've become a firm regular. The stand out feature for me has to be the toilet roll, none of those generic dispensers found in most GK pubs that you need to possess jedi skills to get more than one sheet at a time proper 2ply quilty goodness is found here.

Quite possibly the best pub in the world. Great ales, friendly staff and customers. Wonderful. I love it.

Fantastic selection of 12 Cask Ales and Ciders available. Both local and distant breweries. Staff are excellent, food is delicious and the pub itself is a beautiful traditional pub!

What an absolute delight. The barman went so far beyond the normal on finding a pack of cards and showing us new bar games. I've got to single out the Pendle Witches Brew for being the freshest ale I've drank in an awfully long time. Just wonderful to spend some time in a proper pub that does the important things so well. Utterly outstanding and worth every ounce of praise.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. A nice place to visit in Lytham.
