I booked a big table at The Talbot for my birthday last weekend and it was just fantastic. The food was incredible and service was smooth, friendly and professional which was impressive given there were around 20 people in the party. It made my birthday really special and everyone commented on the quality of the food and service.

Just back from a fabulous evening at The Talbot. We had 3 tapas to start, beautiful. For our main I had the monkfish which was incredible and my hubby had steak burger, he said best he had ever had. Charlotte took care of us. She was attentive, knowledgeble & personable. This place will be our 'go to pub' from now on. Thanks to all the team! Highly recommend! ☆☆☆☆☆👏👏👏👏👏

Like Talbot at Belbrougton , my sort of food and atmosphere. Only had lunchtime bites and Sunday lunch . I go regularly.

As a frequent visitor to the Talbot, a very disappointing Sunday lunch! Anaemic looking potatoes and parsnips and soggy stuffing with limited veg. All were pretty tasteless with the exception of the gravy but that was served sparingly. All in all and compared to previous meals the Sunday lunch for all my party was disappointing.

The pub is lovely, nice decor and friendly staff on arrival. However, we had to wait a very long time to order and in between courses and for the bill. The food was nice enough but quite pricey for what it was. Our greatest concern was after the meal we moved to the garden area for a few drinks which again is a pleasant area. However, there was a dog loose in the garden which we assume was the 'pub' dog as it had been there for the whole of our visit. On coming back from the toilet my 8 year old was chased by the dog which was barking and running at her. She was absolutely petrified and crying to get away. We managed to get the dog away but she was shaking and so scared. There were several members of staff in the garden and not one of them came to check if she was OK. One of the staff just started playing with the dog causing it to bark and run around more. This totally ruined our visit. The dog should not be loose if it cannot be trusted around kids in a family pub. The fact that at least half a dozen staff sat in the garden saw this happen and not one asked if she was ok was most disappointing. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I also would not like another child to have to be in that position. It was terrifying and we should never have been put in that situation where, for all we knew, the dog could have bitten or hurt her.

Absolutely amazing tapas, everything cooked to perfection and very tasty combination of flavours

The food was expensive. But having said that, the fish and chips were excellent. The batter on the fish stayed crispy all through the meal.

What a happy surprise. The food was superb, the drinks outstanding but the service was second to none. It was a delight and I would whole heartedly recommend.

Great pub & lovely food. The menu didn't seem as diverse as it used to be, but the quality of the food is excellent. The staff were very good at when to approach & ask for our order. Some of the meals are at the higher price point for pub food. The decor was nice & added to the overall atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Went for their breakfast, had a full English which was lovely, but unfortunately the bacon did taste like it had been sat under a heat lamp for some time.

Our first visit to the Talbot for lunch. We enjoyed the restaurant setting and food.We chose three small plates and three tapas selections creating our own tapas menu. All the dishes were well prepared and tasty. We will definitely return. The venue is very clean and all staff helpful. Our fifth trip to The Talbot, Saturday lunchtime on 13 May 2024 was even better than the first second, third etc. We love the starter menu with the many Asian twists and now look forward to future menu variations. All washed down with a lovely merlot or two.

I have visited a couple of times to have some drinks and desserts but only today decided to have a meal, although the pub was very busy, we experienced no wait times, food was incredible, we shared a starter and then i had a burger and my partner had the duck. We did find it strange how servers gave fresh cutlery but left us with dirty napkins. I didn’t catch the name of the young girl that was serving us but she was great… I had been ranting to my partner about how nice desserts were since we sat down and so when a different lady cleared our plates and asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu I said yes. We sat and waited for a menu to be brought to us but wasn’t too fussed because we knew it was busy. But after sitting for around 15 minutes while other people were getting menus off the same woman we realised they weren’t coming. We wouldn’t have minded waiting however it was frustrating to watch the tables next to us being checked on and spoken to while we were just sat there. Everything was brilliant but this one thing let it down.

A go-to in the summer months for my girlfriend and I. Fantastic staff who know their stuff with excellent beer and stunning food!

Really nice pub, with a decent beer and good wine selection. Stopped for a drink and had a bargain £3 bowl of chips and a dessert with them... then left without paying! Called them an hour or two later and they were very appreciative! Sorry all, it wasn't intentional!

Never get around to leaving reviews however we went here for sunday lunch and can't recommend it enough from all points of view food staff etc were excellent the waitress new everything about the menu and nothing was too much trouble it was the best sunday lunch we have had i a long time thank you once again great to see staff etc working hard and genuinely interested in what they do well done

Lovely staff 👌 Went for mothers day there were 10 of us we all ordered pudding 9 came out mine wasn't ordered so I was disappointed the waitress didn't say sorry or asked if I still wanted it she just said she didn't put it through .

Staff are very attentive and efficient. We always have the Chateaubriand which is amazing.

Great food, excellent service and terrific atmosphere! I was with a party of 19 for my best friend's 60th birthday. 10/10 for food and service, would definitely recommend The Talbot. The Lady who waited on us was absolutely brilliant at her job, so warm and welcoming, she worked really hard and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a great night!

Brill pub, with second to non service.

We went for my birthday and our waitress was so lovely always coming back to make sure everything was okay and she was always on top of our drinks!

We drove out from Birmingham centre for a nice Sunday lunch. Plenty of parking opposite although full when we left with lots of walkers parking up, heading for a walk rather than into the pub. There is a pay and display but parking free for the pub and their machine wasn't working so we didn't need to leave a registration. The bar area is bustling with a few tables which permit dogs and the side and rear is two main dining rooms. By the time we left it was packed with families and quite noisy. We had King prawn and tomato soup starters, the tomato soup was particularly good. Roast pork with extra crackling which was lovely and crisp, delicious. Two slices of meat, a nice Yorkie, fresh vegetables and all served hot. OH had roast chicken which was moist and he struggled to finish. The only thing I would improve is the gravy! It tasted like granules or instant. A delicious homemade gravy would have made this a 5 star roast. But overall it was good value for money. We would have liked a dessert but there wasn't time as the table was needed back. It's a nice varied menu, with roasts as well as other options so something for everyone. Friendly service. The tables and seats are a bit tired, stains all over my seat and print on the table but it was clean if somewhat worn. OH said the gents were clean and tidy.

Fabulous new menu, had a selection of small plates, and all were excellent. Nice to see a touch of Asian delights.

Food was great. 4 of us ate and had 2 courses each, was really reasonably priced. Was very busy. Parking was tough but not the pubs fault. They were training quite a lot of staff but people were working hard.

Really lovely meal on a quiet Monday night. Despite being quiet, the standard of the food coming out of the kitchen was first rate. We enjoyed a beautiful meal of slow cooked pork belly for me and a perfectly cooked rib eye steak for my partner. Our waitress was excellent and we didn't have to wait long for our food which was piping hot and clearly freshly cooked and not been standing long. Definitely worth a visit and we'll be returning.

Went for new year Worst ever Very cold in every area. Even the Marquee. No heating on Very cold evening. Not enough buffet to go round. A few chips. Be tween my Husband and self. Had meany a good time over the years. Very disappointed 😞☹️ As for no Jeans ,Trainers. Sweet shirts.. what a laugh.

Called in on spec for Sunday lunch 3rd December. Best roast beef I have had for a long while. Seated three of us quickly,no fuss very good staff response. Pleasant atmosphere. Premises obviously recently decorated very tastefully. Will be back.

Lovely restaurant! The food was fab but two of our plates had missing elements which we had to ask for and they had forgotten to put them on the plate. The service overall was good but the staff were clearly very busy and therefore neglected some aspects or forgot certain things. This meant a delivery of drinks was slow too. The food once it was all sorted was great. The staff , was they seemed less flustered were fab, and the building was lovely. There is a car park opposite which says you have to validate for parking but you don’t. We went back in to double check. Overall, lovely evening and great pub.

We had tapas, the lamb, the 16oz chateaubriand, sides, cheesecake, and some wine. All very nice. The tapas portions were very small but very nice (Im comparing to other tapas places) we got six tapas between 4 of us. The sides were ok, the truffle Mac wasn't that truffley and the chilli veg just tasted plain. The steak and lamb was out of this world. The service was great. Team were well presented, polite, took time to have a laugh with us, made regular check backs. All in all a lovely time. It's a nice place too but a relaxed environment rather than stuck up.

Lovely pub great atmosphere and the food is good quality- this place has a walled outside garden so safe in summer for children -even dog owners frequent the outside garden--yes a lovely well run public house with young friendly staff this is an establishment too visit there is outside covered benches with heating and as stated the musicians in the garden on the odd day-- mainly weekends

The Talbot at Belbroughton is a charming establishment, exuding beauty on the inside. The decor sets a delightful atmosphere, creating a welcoming ambiance. The staff, who were very friendly and attentive, certainly added to the overall positive experience. I would note that the service was slightly slow, but it didn't overshadow the rest of the visit. What truly shone was the food – it was of excellent quality, leaving a delightful taste in my mouth. I would certainly return for another visit, hoping to savor their delicious offerings once more. It's a shame to see artificial flowers at the tables; replacing them with real ones would make a big difference and enhance the overall ambiance.

If you're looking for somewhere for a really good pub lunch west of the Birmingham conurbation, then look no further. We met up at the Talbot this week - and it was a very happy experience. Good venue, comfortable, cool, quiet, with an interesting menu and reasonably priced. Try it. We'll be going again.

Wonderful place, super meal. We booked The Talbot at short notice due to change of plans. There was nothing not to like. Really nice, well presented food. The ambience is lovely. We were extremely well looked after. The staff were friendly and are just really good at giving their customers a nice experience. Thoroughly recommend this place. Real quality. We'll certainly be back.

First time here for a fathers day lunch and it did not disappoint, the food was beautiful, the pub itself is welcoming, nicely decorated and the staff were all fab too. We took our dog too, love a dog friendly venue and he absolutely loved all the fuss he got from staff and customers. Will definitely be going again.

Free parking available in the big car park opposite,, just check and make sure you enter your car reg.

Great food with a great choice on the menu, good choice of alcohol and non alcohol drinks. We took the kids and the kids menu was decent. The place looks amazing and clean inside and out! The staff couldn't do enough for us to be honest and the prices were very reasonable. We will certainly be returning in the future, keep up the good work guys 👏👏👏👏

The service was exemplary, the choice of beers was excellent, and the food was first class. Every ingredient you could wish for, for a great night out. There is an on-site car park, which we missed, the entrance of which is not obvious. Highly recommend.

Shared a family meal here last Friday evening, 4 adults 3 kids, fantastic food all around shout out to the chefs! And a special shout to Matilda (tilly) our table service specialist for being on the ball all evening and ensuring our services was 1st class for our entire evening. Nice work ☝🏼 After drinks in the beautiful garden with garden bar, topped off our evening celebrations. Well recommend this restaurant and pub. Best by far in the area.

Stunning food, bit pricey and small portions but the quality was astounding. Best pork belly I've had in a very long time! Great range of drinks at the bar, plenty of choice. Tons of outdoor seating with patio heaters and a stretch tent for protection from the rain.

What a wonderful experience! From the drinks to the service to the food, this was such a lovely evening out for my Nans birthday! Susan the waitress (I think that's her name) was so kind and nothing could have been better. Even the toilets are immaculate!! Will certainly return, thank you so much for a lovely night!
