Food was over priced as it was all frozen ingredients. Bar staff were helpful although there were limited drink options if you don't drink beer.

Been going there for some time food has been excellent but last 2 weeks rubbish food cold no taste apparently changed chef so unfortunately I will not be eating there again

We often visit on a Friday for drink and cobs, but today I was quite disappointed, the ham in all three of our cobs was so fatty and with just a single thin slither, we will try again, just hoping this is a one off

Fantastic with lots of old features

Had a lovely meal for 9 family members for husband's birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Service good and atmosphere really pleasant.

Ate outside. Very accommodating. Sunday roasts were warm not hot.

As always well kelt beers. As always price creeping up.

We were seated and served quickly but lovely staff. Sunday dinners were top-notch. Will definitely be returning

I first came here on my motorbike aged 17 and am 70 in a few months time and still coming here, so they must be doing something right, the selection of beers is excellent and the staff are Wonderful !!!❤️

Amazing pub food. The best we've had in a long time. All 7 of us had great meals. Spinach and ricotta cannelloni was a standout!!

Had lunch today, 1 liver meal and a jacket potato with chilli and cheese with salad. The jacket potato came on a small rectangular plate with chilli running over the side and onto the wooden picnic table in the garden. Apart from the mess it was making I have never tasted such a dreadful chilli in my life. I'm sure that was never home made. The presentation of the liver dish was awful with the liver sat on top of the mash on a large plate with the remaining three quarters of the plate a sea of half a pint of gravy with peas swimming in it. I know that we chose a cheap lunch but in the 57 years that we have been coming here, yes 57 years I have never had such a dreadful meal. We will not be eating here again. This is so sad as it was a favourite of ours and my husband loves the beer.

Me and my partner decided to have the fish and chips at Coach and horses. I did book a table but received no reply. The waitress said that the person that incharge on the booking email wasn't there tonight (I think she's made up this stuff too) When I arrived after sitting at one of the empty tables, just to be told by the same waitress that they are fully booked. The serving time is only until 9pm and that time it was already 8.15pm. Went back down to the bar (my partner was ordering the drinks) and the lady (probably the manager) told us that she will find us a table, and we managed to sit at the table where I first sat. The point that I was getting at is the waitress that was incharged on the restaurant area was lying because she can't be bothered to served another customer that eating in the restaurant's tables. As part of her job she brings in (order to the bar) our new drinks without asking if we want a top up and tonight she's ended up bringing the wrong beer for my partner just by following the glass it was served in. The glass was Stella but the drink that he first drink was Cuzcampo. My partner did not point this out as he do not want the fuss. For the rest of the night there was no other customers turns up at the reseaurant to sit at those empty tables that she claimed "fully booked". Lovely place and the fish and chips was nice and the portion was massive but won't be coming back to eat here again as we don't appreciate the lies.

My review is to say that a young girl employed at this pub took time to talk to me when I was not feeling to well and was sitting out side on the grass by my motorcycle and got me a cold drink .she is a total credit to this business. Thankyou

Son's took us for mother's day lunch 12.30 slot. It was lovely, service was good and roast dinner was excellent. Four different vegetables and plenty.

I've been using this pub for going on 50 years so we booked a table as a Mothers Day treat. What a major disappointment! We had to wait 90 minutes for our barely edible main courses! My 2 wafer thin slices of roast beef appeared to have come out of a packet and certainly not from a roast joint. The vegetables were no better having the appearance of coming out of the freezer. My wife had no roast potatoes and for some reason I had a stuffing ball with my beef. After asking to speak to the manager the best he could come up with was "we are busy" and "you have had your starters haven't you". Needless to say we won't be eating there again. Beer was good though!

Just come back from having a meal for mothers day what a let down , seated for half hour before someone even come then we was give starters after an hour was ok not the best then waited another 40 mins for the main, had the pork was all.frozen food dreadful, there was 6 of us and out of that our son had the best meal chips and nuggets, cancelled our puddings after being there 2 hours, couldn't be bothered to wait another hour to have a poor pudding over all don't waste your money was dreadful.

Abysmal, inedible food at outrageously inflated prices. Five years ago this place did incredible food and was winning rave reviews, to see how far it has fallen is really sad. We went here for Mother's Day and had the three-course set menu. Every single course was awful. The starter of soup was very clearly from a can, it had the same gelatinous wobble consistency and tastes exactly the same as the leading brand. This was enough of a shock, but it only got worse. For mains our party had Roast Beef and Roast Lamb Dinners. We were all in agreement that these were potentially the worst roast dinners we had ever had. Everything was disastrously overcooked to the point of losing both texture and flavour. Both meats were like bland tough old leather. The vegetables had been boiled to death to the extent that they had lost their colour and become dull mush, the green beans were particularly inedible. The potatoes were woeful and yet again massively overcooked; the mash was gloop and the roasties were similarly overcooked mush inside, and not all crispy on the outside. The only thing on the entire plate that wasn't completely ruined/unpleasant was the roast carrot. We all left the majority of these plates. It was genuinely unpleasant to eat. Still being hungry given the awfulness of the first two courses, we were desperately hopeful that dessert would be much better, I mean how much could one even ruin an Eton Mess? Quite a lot it turns out; for they forgot the meringue. It was merely a bowl of chopped up strawberries and cream. Admittedly it tasted okay so was probably the best of the disastrous meal, but not even by the most liberal application of the term could one describe what was served as 'Eton Mess' given the lack of the main ingredient; meringue. Being charged £25 per head and being served what I would honestly describe as hospital food, was outrageous. I can only assume that they did not have someone with any restaurant-level catering training whatsoever in the kitchen on the day that we visited given that they thought it anywhere near acceptable to serve food which is so very clearly ruined. Even a school dinner lady would know that what they served needed to the thrown out and started from scratch. The poor food was not helped by staff who were literally running around the restaurant and being short/blunt with customers, random broken Christmas decorations adorning the walls and rafters despite it being March, and a deafening roar from other customers which made it feel like a primary school canteen. So to summize; awful food, lacking service, and unpleasant aesthetic/vibes. For the first time in my life I was tempted to leave without paying given how poor the experience was. Alas we did not, we simply paid and got out as quickly as we could. It was quite upsetting given that this meal was a gift to our mother and we'd travelled from quite far away to this part of England in order to see her and celebrate with her. Shame on the owners.

Food was decent and hot, some staff were friendly and helpful. They weren't very busy but we had to wait quite some time for our lunch. Two desserts were ordered but after waiting approximately 20 minutes, we enquired after our desserts to be told they were just being plated. They arrived at our table after about another 8 minute wait. Not sure it arrived with an apology. However, food was hot and tasty again. Not sure what went wrong but an apology and smile goes a long way!

Been on multiple occasions, mainly for a drink in the garden but they do amazing large crusty ham and cheese cobs, definitely worth a visit, in beautiful countryside.

Quite a long wait for fish and chips at lunchtime but we worth it. Best beer batteretd cod I've had.

Excellent home cooked food, great atmosphere and wonderful independent pub. Definitely recommend a visit.

Great country pub. Has it's own brewery, plus a great selection of other beers and lagers. Big carpark & great garden area. Lovely staff. Serviced resteraunt & pay at the bar food. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting, beautiful food cooked to perfection. Every course out of 3 we’ve had was absolutely delicious! Hats off to the chef! The only downside was the service which was very slow and seemed to be too much effort for one of them!

Perhaps boxing day not the best day. Servers pleasant but service very slow and the room was very cold. Plates not warm. Ran out of most popular dessert - apple pie. Good fairly standard pub grub but certainly tasty.

Great to see the main dining room open again. Decor is modern and effective. Atmosphere very positive. We were four for Saturday lunch. The impression was they were short of staff both front of house and in the kitchen. Service was slow and a little inattentive. Drinks are excellent. Food is getting there, but not yet the excellent fare of 5-6 years ago.

Took friends for lunch, they were impressed and said will definitely be going again.

Visited one of our favourite little pubs, so happy that they are now open serving food again, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing, highly recommend, especially the homemade pies.

I won't go there again, the service was awful, we were there 30 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a drink, then I had to call her, felt like they didn't want us there, the miserable faces put me off, ont once did anyone ask if the food was ok, ont once dud anyone ask if we needed anything. Was happy to leave, no atmosphere at all, it was a special night but a very disappointing.

My wife and I enjoyed a really nice roast turkey dinner 🍽️ the young waitress that served us gave excellent service despite being very busy. I also enjoyed a pint of Icknield pale ale which is brewed on the premises I think. A great country pub 🍻

Visited this evening as occupants of the local caravan and camping site. Not entirely sure what to expect as the ambience rather rustic to be kind. However the food and service were really very good to say the least. Extremely well cooked and presented food delivered by a no nonsense but attentive host. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Food was good Laura was amazing she made sure everyone was served as quickly as possible considering she was working 10 tables on her own with no support she a medal or a raise!

Sadly I attended here for a funeral wake. The buffet was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Good range of drinks. Good toilets and plenty of parking. Hopefully retun soon in better circumstances.

Lovely old pub in Weatheroak, not far outside of the Birmingham city limits. Always a nice pint of real ale, going down well with a classic crusty cheese or ham cob with optional onions. The sausage rolls are huge and well worth visiting for alone. The restaurant food is also great and this place is well known locally for Sunday lunch.

Really nice pub 4 local ales all ipa's on tap plus guest ales. Weatheroak hill brewery is next door. Now doing meals at dinnertime. Had liver and onions today really nice. Plenty of seats outside if sunny.has started serving meals Thursday to Saturday check website. Dogs allowed into bar. Still one of the best pubs in the local area.

Food was good, though the curry portion was a little on the small side, though it was nice and everyone else's meals were good.

Proper old pub, good real ale brewed on the premises, plus many other choices. Friendly staff, and well priced food. Would recommend the Icknield Pale Ale. Great beer garden.

Found this gem just 20 minutes away from home. Fabulous independent pub with a Micro Brewery. Food was very tasty and portions generous ( we didnt have room left for dessert), well presented and brought to the table piping hot with a smile from the young lady serving us. Will definitely be returning there ( need to try the desserts).

Great place for a real ale beer especially in the summer.

I had a chicken and bacon salad which was pretty poor. It said it came with baby new potatoes and bread and butter. When I let the waitress now it doesn't have have any potatoes or bread and butter her reply was I'm sorry we haven't had any potatoes for a while now and wasn't sure about why there isn't any bread and butter. The salad had lots of lettuce a few slices of cucumber I'd say half slice of Tomato and white onion. I had to search for the bacon.

Lovely independent pub with brewery on site. Fresh (massive and very tasty) sausage rolls and cobs available on the bar and reasonably priced food - looked good but didn't try. Ales from brewery next door very enjoyable and well kept. Nice garden with grassed and patio areas, interior split between period original pub and more modern extension set up for dining.

A cracking independent family owned country pub that I have been visiting regularly for years now. Friendly efficient staff, great beer (including own brewed on site), food, sunny beer garden, dog friendly, cyclists welcome. Reasonable prices too!!

I go here once a fortnight to have fish and chips on a Friday lunchtime with my family and service and food is great

Good parking. There are lots of outside spaces to sit, but many of the benches are rickety and/or not level. Kitchen is not the quickest, waited excessively for what looked and tasted like a microwave meal (no advice given on timing when ordering, was in excess of 30 minutes wait at least), restaurant not particularly busy at the time... and not the first instance of the same. Heard the roasts here are good, and they always appear so when seeing them go past on the way to tables. Beer selection is fair, with an onsite brewhouse, where beer can be purchased at the bar - a nice touch. There is definitely no service with a smile here (it has always felt like non local customers are an inconvenience, and I've been visiting this place for ten years at least). That said, it is a nice place to visit on a sunny day and highly recommend the homemade cobs, which are always generous and taste fantastic.
