Never been, just reviewing it cos my Grandmother's Grandfather and his sisters and parents lived here and a train went through his house here.

Me and my friends have been coming over the last few years and always enjoy our time in this pub. It's a very old school-type pub which I love. There are a few rooms with a lovely little nook away from the bar where we can let our hair down and have a laugh. Nevver had any problems and the licals are friendly. X

Went in over Christmas to meet friends for a few beers, relaxed atmosphere with great pool table, barmaid was friendly. Would go a again for a pint or two.

The only pub worthy of the name by Bolton station with excellent choice of well kept beers.

We had a lovely night here. Quieter than usual meant the pool and darts competition was uninterrupted. Lovely beers and welcoming staff.

Great little pub right next to the station, quiet when we went but good atmosphere. Rock music most popular on the Jukebox which is a plus for me. £3.50 for a dark fruits which is excellent nowadays. Pool table and plenty of seating. Proper Pub.

An old-fashioned back to basics pub. Not changed much over the years. Beer mats covering the walls like in the 80s rock bars. Pool table and small bar. Small round tables and stools. Very much a pub for locals.

Met a group of friends some of which I had not seen for years. A really good place to start with a very nice real ale available. Enjoyed the good service and surroundings.

so, my daughter, who is 17, got off a train at Bolton station last night, i was meeting her but we hadn't arranged where before her phone died. she started to panic a bit as doesnt know bolton at all and no phone so she went into this pub . she was visibly upset and crying and politely asked if she could plug her charger in for 5 mins as she had no idea where i was and obviously I couldn't get hold of her. she was told by " no " by the bar maid "unless she bought a drink!" which she couldn't do as uses Apple pay and her phone was dead !i was driving round for 40 mins till i eventually found her , really upset still. so thank you , whoever you are for being so utterly uncaring and downright mean. you should be ashamed !

A traditional typical man's pub with pool table, darts board, juke box and different brewery beer mats covering most walls. A few discrete small rooms/snugs with battered arm chairs. Very small bar selling real ale and pies. A real old style pub, pity about the stale beer smell. Close to railway station and Sainsburys.

Not been here for around 20 years but good to see it's still standing. Just a short walk from the train station . Decent beer and service, plus plenty of local history on the walls.

Nice people here, great for a swift pint before walking back to my friends house. Since writing the above this pub has become my go to place for a beer. I took a longer route home just so I could pop in for a couple of beers!

First time in there and Barladies really friendly and great service. Really down to earth place with friendly customers too. Made to feel really welcome.

Good place to meet before going to Macron. Old fashioned with good selection of real ales. Also a warm welcome from the two dogs.

The place is a traditional old English ale house which has not changed in a long time.

Whilst it won't win prizes for decor, it's comfy and welcoming with a traditional layout of separate rooms. Beer is good and the staff are great too. Great jukebox too

Not the actual bar, but the local yokels. Came and inserted themselves in a conversation, sat at the table with no pint, and a condescending attitude which for a Boltoner is quite something. Definitely would not recommend, shame really as I always wanted to go in this pub.

Quite simply, this is a proper Lancashire pub full of proper Lancashire people and a couple of clever dogs. Eleventeen stars for this place in my book!

They have done a great job of ruining a Bolton institution. No longer a place for beer lovers and they have moved the bar for no apparent reason. A pity, it used to be great, sadly no longer.....

This used to be a really good pub with decent real ales always available. A recent visit on a Saturday with the Wanderers at home was a complete disappointment - no real ale and only 2 bottles of what were reasonable substitutes. Come on Kevin sort this out please.

landlords terrible ,,,,, went in for a few pints i asked what time last orders is ,, she said 11 ,,, so i ordered i pint at 11 , started drinking it then five mins later landlord comes down turfing us out ,, if you dont want people in your pub at ten past 11 then change your god dam times for last orders ,, miserable bas ,,,rd

Not been in here for 30 odd years, used to be a regular haunt. Popped in for a swift pint with some old friends one Friday evening. Beer was very good, shame about the clientele. Seemed to be just populated with lairy kids, not the mix of ages that it used to have. Got to say great pint though.

The Sweet Green is one of the now scarce, authentic establishments in Bolton and as such, they have several cosy corners and a huge beer garden,most of which is covered and heated. When it's chilly outdoors, they will light the coal fire. Really, it's the type of pub that you could go into alone and be made feel welcome like an old friend! They sell VERY potent craft beers, ales and ciders!! Pool table and Duke box...dog friendly 😁 I would change nothing about this place....except offer a small, but quality menu for lunch and evening meal.

Good starting point for a jaunt on the train. Bit quiet but I can imagine it can get busy. Good traditional pub.

Cosy. Bit expensive for non-alcoholic beverages.

Went in Saturday night and a pint of Fosters lager was £3.50 !Surprise the pub was empty !Very disappointing as it’s a cosy pub .Howevee it won’t be missed if it goes under !
