I have been here a couple of times now and both times have been incredible. The food is absolutely delicious, would highly recommend the pie of the day (which was minted lamb the day I went), I've also been told by my friend that the Lasagne is very good. The sticky toffee is lip smackingly good! Very reasonably priced, quality ingredients in a charming little pub with fabulous ambience.

Would give more stars if I could, amazing place!

The pub/restaurant is exelannt for food I've visited 4 times now and the fillet steak and Stilton sauce is to die for and the Stilton and mushroom burger and the lamb shank all cooked to perfection also the staff and wendy are so nice and welcoming you would want to eat there again there are a few words to describe 5 STAR and value for money to

We are a party of 4, and after visiting "Severn Valley Railway," we decided to stop for a meal at "The Swan at Blakedown" before travelling home to Derby. The food, service, and atmosphere were very good, and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful 😀 10/10 all-round 🤗🤗

Very impressed ! . After not visiting this place for many years, we decided on a Sunday teatime visit. Everything surpassed our expectations, good choice of qualify food , cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. Just right. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family.

Overall it’s fine. A nice normal run of the mill pub serving nice normal run of the mill pub grub. I went with two family members, all three of us had the pate to start. Our eyebrows did raise a little at how long this took to come out (45mins+) bearing in mind that the place wasn’t packed at the time, and what are you doing other than slapping a bit of toast, pate, and salad on a plate? I suspect they may have forgotten to put our order through for a moment, but no big deal. Pate arrived and it was again, fine! Nice but you won’t be writing home about it. For main I had the lamb shank, which surprisingly for me, I wholeheartedly recommend, it was brilliant! I will certainly be having it again should I go back. The mash and mint gravy was also to die for. The other two with me had chicken strips/goujons (you guessed it, fine!) and one of their baguettes (halloumi I believe, also fine!) We left satisfied but not blown away. I was going to knock off a star for poor atmosphere but the issue at hand was not the pubs fault nor the staffs fault. There were some rude and disruptive customers unfortunately sat near us, this put a bit of a downer on the outing, and the staff were unfortunately getting the sharp end of the stick too, trying to deal with these people so in light of that I don’t think it would be fair to remove a star.

Had lunch here today. Was lovley food and friendly service. The lamb pie was amazing and the Onion rings sooo good.

They have stopped serving food at this place.!!!

Lovely home cooked food which appeared in no time by hard working friendly staff will definitely eat there again. Outside eating space very nice. Hope we won't regret recommendation and not be able to get a table

The service was excellent and food was good, and well priced. Generous portions both mains and puds. The drinks are not over priced either with a nice selection to choose from. Menu choice is good too.

Nice place to visit. Food was really good. Maybe burger could be less cooked but not a big issue. 5 star in overall. Desert was delicious. Worth any money.

The staff were very nice and the food was also as good , with a l9vley outside seating and decking with a no smoking or vapeing policy, was a great plus , I'm looking to go back with the in-laws as we enjoyed the food , well worth popping in we might even try the Sunday roast

We spend a lot of time eating in a lot of different places I must say it’s great to see old traditions service food all stop on would recommend to all don’t drive by pull in you will be pleasantly surprised

I've just eaten there this evening with some fellow group members and the food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. One of the best gammon steak dinners I've ever eaten AND very reasonably priced too for what you get! We'll definitely be eating there again! 😎👌🏼

A great looking pub that we've drove past a fair few times but stopped off and enjoyed a couple of visits recently. We've always received a lovely welcome and the service has been great also. The pub itself is superb and the only thing missing is a real fire. Minor thing. Decent Guinness and the food has been lovely but wish places would serve proper chips and not frozen ones. Great baguettes but we've also enjoyed the traditional menu and the sausage and mash and the pie and mash were cooked perfectly. The biscoff cheesecake was naughty but very nice. Dog friendly with a decent garden in warmer weather and hope to return soon.

Popped in for a spot of lunch with family, the pub was very busy with Christmas bookings. Still managed to get our food order out quickly and served with a friendly smile, fully recommend a visit.

Food was delicious and portion size was good. Plenty of atmosphere in the main pub section. We were sat in the conservatory which was less atmospheric but did allow for a quieter meal experience which was also very pleasant. Our service couldn't have been better. The lady that served us was warm, welcoming and attentive.

A lovely looking pub, a lovely entrance but it enters a small room with a huge TV that is on a supposed news channel, very off putting. Luckily we were then seated in the conservatory, however it's bit dark in there, a bit more light needed to read the menu and see the food. I was a bit disappointed with the food which I expected to be home made and tasty, no-one was overly impressed, chips were not hot, nor was the veg. and for some reason one main meal had dried parsley sprinkled all over the food, it added nothing to the look or the flavour. Staff were very pleasant, but unlikely any of us will go again.

The Sunday roast at the Swan is one not to be missed, true home cooking, the roast potatoes are properly roasted, as is the meat. The gravy is full of flavour and lifts the meal to another level that is rarely achieved by many restaurants . The vegetables are served separately, and the portions are generous. The staff work very hard but always find time to be helpful and friendly. Because the food is so flavoursome and the service is so good it is necessary to book for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the leg of lamb, so tasty and the food came out quickly, only thing I'd say is that the carrots and cauliflower couldve been cooked longer, other than that cant fault it.

We were passing, enroute home to Leicester, from West Mids Safari Park and needed to stop for something to eat. I'm so pleased we stumbled across you. The girls serving were lovely and friendly. The food was amazing, it's a real shame you're not closer to where we live as I'm sure you'd quickly become a firm favourite. We were so pleased it felt only fair to share this with you and to ask you to pass on our gratitude to front of house team and to the kitchen team. My goats cheese salad was gorgeous, my husbands scampi plentiful and my daughter actually ate all her meal (a rarity!)

We were looking for somewhere to eat on Thursday 7th September whilst spending a few days in Kiddiminster & it was getting quite late & came across The Swan. We got a drink at the bar & asked the lady what time they were serving food till as we got there about 7:45 & wasn’t sure if we would still be able to get something to eat. We were in luck, it wasn’t a problem even though they stopped serving food at 8 o’clock. We were shown into the conservatory & soon decided what we wanted, steak & chips with peppercorn sauce & scampi & chips with a side order of onion rings. We weren’t waiting long for our meals which were a good portion size & nicely presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our main courses & decided to have a dessert each - the homemade lotus biscoff cheesecake & the tiramisu which were also excellent! Both girls behind the bar that served us in the conservatory were really friendly & professional & were a credit to the owners. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again the next time we stay in Kidderminster.

We are local to the Swan and went for my Wife's Birthday with a party of 7 all I can say is just perfect food, staff everything we always have a great time the Hunters chicken is the best I've had only complaint cushion's on the chairs in the conservatory are a bit flat and that's all.

We went to the Swan at Blakedown tonight (Sunday) for a fiftieth birthday family meal. I would like to say that the landlord and staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu is excellent with a wide choice of meals to suit all tastes and appetites. The food was delivered quickly and all of the meals were excellent. I would recommend this pub for meals whatever the occasion or just for a meal out. The food is excellent and very good value for money. The service is very good and the pub has a good atmosphere. I cannot fault anything - 5 stars all the way. Thank you

This is absolutely the perfect place for simple, honest pub food. The food, beer and service are all exceptional. What a pity other local pubs - like the Mare & Colt in Stanklyn Lane or the Dog at Harvington serve mass-produced food instead of this excellent fayre. Thanks for a lovely night, all at The Swan!

The food was very good "pub" food, the dessert was great. Would be 5 stars if there were more options that didn't reply on chips, and having GBnews on the TV was very off-putting, don't really want to see far-right politics while I'm trying to enjoy my brownie!

Super cheese and bacon burger lunch served efficiently, piping hot and with charm. Excellent fresh coffee. Very good value.

Very disappointing. The preparation and presentation of the food served was poor, and very unappetising. Sunday lunch floating in a sea of gloopy gravy, chewy meat and roast potatoes tasting like they had been kept warm in a steamer. Bootlace thin soggy parsnips, and undercooked...

I absolutely love going to The Swan - even on my own. The food is freshly cooked, the staff are very friendly. The place is well kept and clean and Chris and Tracey are simply the best.

Very welcoming pub, staff friendly, dog made welcome, baguettes and chips fine, easy place to meet up with good value food. What made this pub was exceptionally friendly staff who went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Will definitely be back.

Great Sunday lunch. Have visited a few times now when travelling from Cambridgeshire to see family locally. Restaurant areas are nice, clean and tidy and the food has always been very good with a lot of choice, really good portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again!

This was my first visit to The Swan. What a lovely, comfortable and welcoming place to be for a fabulous lunch. The battered cod with chips and mushy peas was so tasty , my only criticism was that the portions were so large it defeated...

Lovely roast dinner and dessert.last time I came here I had the lamb shank which was superb but sadly this time they had run out but was told can pre order next time which is great as will be back again for that.. ambience good staff friendly and helpful...couldn't have asked for a better meal out......update...went again yesterday meals and drinks had gone up alot...expected some increase due the way things are at the moment...but alcoholic drinks way higher than expected...they couldn't split the bills as there were 3 different families together so we were sat there for about ten minutes trying to sort it...the meals were lovely everyone enjoyed theirs but due to the increase of everything next time will be a special occasion only...
