This is a lovely, welcoming and cosy place.Had a lovely family afternoon recently in the rear Beer Garden. The lovely Charlotte was warm and welcoming and the Alcohol was reasonably priced.Sadly,this place is often overlooked due to location and lack of car parking but,if you do get chance to,go-you won't regret it. Will definitely go back!

I've been to this pub on numerous occasions and have always been made welcome by nigel and his lovely bar staff the entertainment on a Saturday is always a great night well worth a visit if in Bewdley.

Started using the rising sun in August when nigel took over we absolutely love the pub fantastic gaffer amazing Barr staff nothing is too much trouble Sunday lunch is delicious great value fir money cooked by nigel himself we go every weekend we travel from the Midlands well worth a visit

Visited here now several times since being taken over by new management Nigel & Team. Absolutely love the place. Lovely warm welcome. Great choice of drinks and the atmosphere is always so lovely. It feels like a right hidden gem. I went back again recently to try their Sunday lunch, I had roast beef and it was utterly Devine. Thank you to the team. Look forward to the next visit. A great local pub. Nigel and his team have transformed it into a vibrant and character filled pub. Love the place but it's just a pity that it is a 30 mile round trip from home!

A really cosy, friendly pub with very welcoming staff. Nigel has done a great job of creating a warm and friendly atmosphere with some fantastic ales including Enville and good old Banks's Original and Bitter. Highly recommended.

Went in for a quick pint, sat in the rear beer garden and the resident dogs kept us company! Everyone is really friendly and makes you feel welcome!

A great find, it was my first visit on Sunday 27.3.2022. What a find, a traditional English pub that hasn't been spoilt. I went on my own, which can sometimes be a challenge, however, a friendly place, good selection of all drinks, clearly a great pride in cellar management , sociable, welcoming and above all friendly, , and it will not be my last visit. Thank you .

From the outside this is a must, until you enter. Old fashiined interior milky glasses and looks like is needs a good clean. On the upside the beer was spot on.

Only has a star as will not let you post a comment. Shocking place, the owner needs to look up arrogance, awful... avoid this place, so many other lovely pubs close by with no problems if you are exempt. Total discrimination against not being able to wear a mask, and the people drinking in there are clearly all the same, please avoid this place and will be making this known everywhere from now on. Very rude...could not believe what I was actually hearing from the staff!!!

The attitude of the staff and the people drinking their was disgusting. I am exempt from wearing a mask and I have a certificate to prove this but the abuse are received from the staff and the people drinking in their hurling abuse at me was threatening. I would recommend anybody avoid this place as it is very hostile

Landlord and landlady, first class. A nice pint of beer ! Just out of town, makes this the ideal pub to chill out in. VAL & TRACE WESTWOOD.

Very welcoming, friendly nice people, always liked it here, they have fire pits to keep you warm but i think they are lit on weekends, they have even put the pool table outside under a marquee, they have tried so hard to make it a nice pub experience for everyone and i am so thankful that they are open, we have been twice this week, will be back very soon x

Old quaint pub, set in a row of very old cottages on the right as you turn towards Bewdley after the Safari Park. Dog friendly, excellent wine and beer. Very welcoming. A nice atmosphere.

Decided to meet at the Rising Sun as it was half way between the both of us & easy parking.We wished we had picked somewhere else! To be honest it was like a morgue ! We were the only ones in there! Felt we were intruding! Tried to talk to each other but a scruffy woman who thought it was alright to let the pub dog to run alway along the pub seating and use me as obstacle and kept jumping over me. Certainly not impressed with some untrained for jumping in my clothes! No food except a dried up cheese roll.No wonder you are quiet !

Lovely little pub, get there early if you want a seat. Really rate it. Pool table, darts board, live music on Saturday night. Decent beer and ale selection. I will be revisiting.

I have to say this pub shocked me. A great warm looking pub inside. Great selection of beers. Great pub snacks. Great juke box and lovely staff. I will defo pop in again when I'm down Bewdley again.

A really friendly little place that serves a good pint of Guinness as well as a good selection of other drinks as well. They often have live music on which is surprising when you walk in as you wouldn't think it would work in the small room but it does and it is always a great atmosphere.

This pub used to be a great real ale pub, run well with a great range of ales, and friendly atmosphere . Unfortunately it's been taken over, the new owner is rude and dry. The soul has disappeared from this once great pub. This has evidently had a big effect on the numbers of people, used to be fall on a Saturday night. Less than half full now. Hopefully the owner may give up, maybe get a job in a butchers, allowing new friendly owners to take it back up to where it once was. I keep my fingers crossed. Avoid if you can

Myself and a group of friends have visited here several times taking part in the quiz they have on Tuesday nights. As "outsiders", we were always made very welcome by the staff and the locals. The beers are all kept very well, and we often had their ham or cheese cobs, which were very nice. I'd really recommend this pub to quiz lovers on a Tuesday night.

A really good pub serving a great range of beers along with snacks which include rather tasty pork - pies. The atmosphere is good and from what I have seen and heard a variety of different events are held here on a regular basis. Will have to go back soon.

Nice family run pub with a very young manager looking after the family business. What's not to like. Banks beer very good and the old boy Jim has a good tale to tell.

Went here with the family for Sunday lunch. Great food great pub right in the centre of Bewdley. Made a welcome respite from camping food. Will definitely return

Really great pub, open mic 1st Wednesday in the Month (always a good night) saturday night great entertainment. 3rd Wednesday in the month is a bostin night. Accoustic fun night, just take your instrument and get down there, they make you so welcome and it really is good mid week fun. You can always grab a bite to eat to help the fine drinks go down, plus such friendly staff. In my opinion a pub not to be missed.

Love this pub, real local friendly atmosphere, great staff and most of all, good beer and pork pies. Open mic night on first weds of the month is an experience too.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon with a party of 4 couples, we where informed by the landlady that they did not serve hot food, but had a selection of Cobs (Large rolls) and Pork Pies) we ordered our drinks first, while the lawn was being cut in the back Garden what a sun trap!! The cobs and pies duly arrived, well who needs hot food when you can have fantastic food like this!! All the food was fresh and the pies where locally sourced, BRILL!! We spent a fantastic few hours here as well as quite a few drinks, and the landlady ensured we had all we needed, would thoroughly recommend this pub.
