The Super Mare in North Somerset

The atmosphere was great, the food was superb and the service was flawless! Ella F, our server, was great, she went above & beyond and made the experience amazing! Definitely will come again and would highly recommend to anyone!!

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff managed to find us a table near the kitchen. The food was good and service was quick. The kitchen door banged every time someone walked through it which became very irritating. The overall decor is rather tired and has the token filthy carpets which seems to be common in hungry horse.

Jacqueline was an amazing server. Was more than accommodating and helpful. Wasn’t overbearing but was very respectful and polite. Was efficient and helpful. This didn’t the first time I’ve been served by her and definitely hope it won’t be the last time! Lovely lady!

A roast beef and drink £11.4 stars as veg was hard did inform the staff they were very understanding overall its a great family friendly place to eat and chill out ,service outstanding very quick ,Staff very friendly and helpful. Part from veg everything else was gorgeous. Very clean and tidy .We will be back .

Lovely meal for a family birthday

A friendly and inviting environment, where staff are welcoming & polite. The food is great and an added bonus there is a play park for the children in the garden. We absolutely love visiting The Super Mare, where expectations are always met! The manager Irene is also lovely and can tell she’s very passionate about her job, going above and beyond for her customers.

Went for my grandson’s 13th birthday meal. 12 of us, food great, service fantastic, nothing too much trouble for them. Thank you.

Service was lovely and the pub was the cleanest Hungry Horse that I’ve ever been in. Bacon on the breakfast was cooked but chewy fat and the sausages were a bit over cooked. Other than that everything was great.

Ella was an excellent server and was incredibly accommodating and helpful with my daughter’s birthday!! Thank you so much!!

It's your usual chain pub. Food was average. Had something missing off my meal, but this was rectified quickly.

We had a lovely waitress who was very accommodating, kept us updated with wait times and helped us to the table with all the children. Everyone was polite and friendly and that made for a lovely experience for the family. The food was delicious and value for money, would definitely recommend!

Cannot fault the super mare, always service with a smile! The staff are so friendly and always happy to help. Food is the best we've had at a hungry horse! So accommodating for families, nothing is ever too much trouble. Jo in particular is fantastic, an asset to the team, so warm and welcoming 🙂🙂

I had an amazing experience at The Super Mare, thanks to the helpfulness of a member of staff, Jo. She made sure that we had everything that we needed, she was super helpful as we had young children and a baby. Food was lovely, nothing was too much trouble.

Really busy. Typical Hungry Horse with sticky tables and floor. Order on app or bar. Collect your own cutlery and condiments. Staff interaction is really limited. 2 meals for £12.49 which is amazing value. All feels reheated, microwaved mush so don’t expect top cuisine but if you were you wouldn’t be at Hungry Horse. Crowded and full of crying, screaming kids running amok. Brilliant value so take ear plugs.

The Super Mare is lovely. Food is always served really quickly, hot and with a smile. It's our "Go to" place for food when we are hungry.

Great value Food was very poor, Burnt, dry. Lemonade was tasteless and flat. Broken glass on shelf next to table. Very dusty, cobwebs, clearly not cleaned in a while. Many lights not working. Male toilets were falling apart. Duck tape all over floor Table tops very scruffy. Bench seat coverings split and tatty. Generally scruffy.

AMAZING food. Our waiter Ella was wonderful, came to check that our starters, main & pudding were all okay for us. She had lovely mannerism and very cheerful & happy. Had a smile on her face everytime she wondered past us. She interacted with my children & was just overall a great member of staff. Credit to your team! Pleasant place to stop for a meal and drinks food excellent drinks reasonably priced have now called in 5 times this last month. A good 5 stars thank you see you soon.

Food was terrible, steak tasted like it had been sat in the hot hold for a while and was overcooked, chicken was cold, sausages were enemic. Chips were under portioned and cold. Then again the chicken in the burger had the same texture as if it had been hot held for a while. Fries were barely cooked and cold.

Great experience! Andrea was fantastic with all aspects of the job. Will recommend to anyone to come here!

I had a meeting in the Super Mare yesterday and was waiting at the bar to order a latte for the person I was with. Emma was making coffees for another order, had one on the machine and went to deliver the other 2 to a table. She came back, finished the coffee and put it on the bar. Before I could order the latte she said ‘this one is for you, I heard your colleague ask for a latte so I got on with making it’ Absolutely outstanding customer service, amazing listening skills and an asset to the team. Food was very nice! The waffles Benedict waffles were a little bit cold and could have done with a bit more sauce. But other than that very good 😊

Ordered from gluten-free menu. Lady taking order who was training obviously misheard despite us reading order directly in full and accused us of lying about the order of meal refusing to a knowledge or apologise for mistake but said we were wrong ,hence arrival of incorrect order. Refused to correct as order had been given and made despite it being wrong. Waitress very apologetic. Mangeress accusatory and inflexible no offer to improve experience. We will not be returning. The meals were plain but well cooked and ok.

Brilliant service yet again from all staff . Ella on the bar was superful helpful with our allergies making sure the food we ordered was safe for us. All staff are super friendly and food is always cooked to perfection.

Had an amazing meal here on Friday. Steak was amazing and great value burgers being buy one get one free. Staff were all amazing so friendly and helpful. Will be back soon

We came as a family of 8 people, which I know can prove challenging to cater for. A table was made available for us at short notice. Staff were helpful, the app ordering was straightforward, and food was served promptly. I was happy with the service and food.

Came here last night had a great space of parking available at the pub. We had some food and drinks which was amazing and overall had a good time. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Thankyou :)

Joe & Ella were brilliant, nothing seems to much bother for them which made our visit feel even more special. everything was done with a smile, which made our visit feel like a pleasure. Food was served very quickly and was piping hot and tasted so good made even more better by the fact I didn't need to cook it!!! Highly recommend.

Had a great time with family yesterday, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals, our grandchildren were totally spoiled by Irene the manager and well catered for, the rest of the staff were amazing , they loves the super mare as do we, they always asked to come for their food here....the food was tasty and delivered within 15 mins....highly recommended.

Staff are always friendly. Very accommodating when you haven't booked. Love ordering on the app. Very efficient and some good deals.

We went Xmas eve for breakfast with the kids, they was so friendly and nice. They had a Santa who come said hello to the kids; they done thet even before we ordered food so it was not link to paying for it. We live breakfast here but on the 24th it was just that extra bit special

went to the supermare pub on new year day. For lunch service was fantastic and staff was very friendly and helpful service by sam very helpful and checked that we had everything our food came out hot we had chicken newyork stake.. m.the chicken newyork was amazing the stake cooked as we ask well done to the chef's for sending out amazing hot food and a thank you to sam for looking after us I would definitely recommend the supermare pub it clean and fantastic atmosphere we will be back happy new year to you all
