1903 Lounge in North Somerset

Costumer service is diabolical. Visited this location last year and there was NO food, NO glasses etc and because of this I was offered a refund. 11 months down the line and I am still having to chase this- Barbara Fotheringham will respond every couple of emails apologising for ‘missing my email’ and its an ‘oversight on her part’ however I still do not have a penny or a replacement ticket (both of which were previously offered!). Its an absolute joke and I don’t know how a company can ask for so much money and deliver absolutely nothing in return.

What a total ripoff. The breakfast was poor with inedible scrambled egg that was as dry as dust and could be called crumble. The orange juice was watery and more like squash. The fruit was very tired looking. Avoid at all costs

Given I was trying to work from here it’s easily the worst KLM affiliate lounge experience I have ever had. It is impossible to concentrate due to the incredible nerve shattering noise being created by the staff as they cackle and scream along with their regular travelers. It felt like being in a cruise ship bar rather than a business lounge. If that’s the vibe you want - great! Sadly I was on a business trip and being unable to hear myself think was a real pain. Lounge was also pretty filthy, no tables were cleaned throughout our 1hr stay, the room was incredibly humid and the carpet was covered in food.

Was moved here from other lounge and so glad I was! Adult only which I didn’t realise and far more quiet and calm. Absolutely lovely lady called Michelle welcomed me in, explained everything I needed to know and answered any questions with a friendly manner and a smile. Michelle was efficient in clearing away vacated tables as well as replenishing anything that had run out - she made the experience even more relaxing so big thanks Michelle!! Food and drink was good and plenty to choose from. Will definitely book again.

What a wonderful relaxing place to wait for your flight and super great value. Not overcrowded like many airport lounges nowadays. Great customer service The hostess even reminded people when flight boarding was starting. Highly recommended

Unfortunately not the experience we had when it was Aspire Lounge. Changed 12 months ago Food beige. Prawn crackers to go with…. Dry chicken drumsticks, dried out rice, cauliflower cheese or macaroni cheese. Sorry, thought there may be something more enticing Lack of pastries Fruit limited No longer get extra menu options such as fries, burgers etc Loads of drink if that’s what you want Not a spit on what it was and certainly not worth the cost. Can’t be called luxury. Felt cheated to be honest Staff pleasant Tip: 2024…..get some USB charger sockets or similar new versions. Who carries a full plug around ? Not angry…. Just disappointed !

1903 lounge food was minimal and not a great deal of choice. However plenty of alcholic and soft drink available. Member of staff working called Pri was extremely friendly and helpful a credit to the team.

Lovely lounge at Bristol airport. We’d booked for the Escape Lounge but were told we we’d been given access to 1903 Lounge instead which turned out to be a real upgrade. We didn’t see much of the Escape lounge but it looked busy from the entrance. The 1903 lounge was lovely and quiet and tranquil. Food was excellent - sandwiches, cakes, hot meals (it was lunchtime), cheese and biscuits and fruit plus soft and alcoholic drinks. Michelle was in charge the day we visited and everything was kept clean and well stocked and we were made to feel very welcome. Better than any of the other lounges of this type that we’d been in. Shame you can’t book directly as this was an excellent experience!

Michelle on duty Supervisor was polite, friendly and helpful and it made a great start to our holiday. Food / drinks choices very good.

Michelle has away about her that gives you the impression you know her years make you feel at home from the get go I feel that she is such an asset to you and your business well done

Big selection of food during breakfast time. They even cook your eggs to your liking and bring them to your table. Very friendly staff that provides service with a smile. Comfortable seats, quiet surroundings. Top!

The food is basic, similar to what you would get on an AI holiday 3 star hotel. If you’re going for the alcohol then it’s worth it- but for the food, sadly not!

Booked premium lounge got no premium drinks and food was more for a vegetarian. And couldn’t believe how rammed in we was. Gatwick was hell of lot better.

1903 lounge Bristol Airport 55£ for 2:30 hours very poor. Leather seats worn split dirty carpets,tables not cleared,food offering very poor. Member of staff drinking Coke out the bottle. The only good thing you’re away from the crowds. Total rip off. 

When we arrived at the 1903 approx 8am it was quite busy. The service was amazing. We were met by Louise at the entrance who took our booking & explained how it all worked & that she would come & take our breakfast order as soon as she has served other waiting customers. She was extremely pleasant. She was very busy tidying up clearing the tables but always had a smile & was extremely helpful and attentive to all the customers in the lounge. We had a full breakfast which was very tasty, plus toast. You could have had anything on the menu . There was plenty of choice. Really enjoyed our stay & felt very relaxed before our onward flight. To Gran Canaria.

We had a great experience at the 1903 lounge. Our host Louise was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Fab breakfast (my husband had the full English and I had the eggs benedict) perfectly cooked by Chef Liju, and the champagne was free flowing. Lovely chilled atmosphere. So nice to properly relax before a flight.

Andrew on reception gave us a warm welcome and allowed us to pick a table. This was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in which to wait for our flight. There was an excellent selection of beverages, quality coffee and I had champagne to start the holiday off with bubbles, plenty of other alcoholic and non alcoholic options available. I had the vegetarian breakfast with a side of toast. I went for poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly by Jacque in the kitchen. I had a banana bread to finish.

1903 at Bristol was just what I needed. Very peaceful, calm area just to chill out before a flight. Comfortable chairs and plentiful power sockets nearby. Andrew is very attentive, polite and friendly and you can't go wrong with him. The breakfast was extremely tasty and free lattes on tap suited me perfectly, although there are plenty of soft and non soft drinks available.

A wonderfully relaxing experience - thank you to chef Jackie and duty manager Andrew for a great start to our holiday.

Absolutely terrible place. Lacking most of the food items advertised, which judging by the standard of the products they do have is probably a blessing, the bacon has the texture of carbon fibre and the hash brown bites are like pebbles! The worst cafe in the world could do a better job than the cooks here, worst dining experience of my life! Avoid this lounge like the plague.

The duty manager Andrew was an exceptional host - he paid acute attention to detail, was very warm, welcoming and was certainly the host with the most and created a first class fine dining experience at the lounge. His recommendation of the Bollinger Creamant was spot on! The space is easy to access, with plenty of space and range of seating areas that will suit most guests. I wouldn't recommend this for families but for business/executive professionals it would suit perfectly. It is worth considering booking in advance to secure a table though as the number of tables are limited at peak times. There was great table service for hot food with a fantastic range of cold fresh foods and top label spirits, drinks and plenty of soft drinks and tea/coffee at the self-service bar area. Highly recommend and adds a touch of something special to your trip

Cooked food was tired, some of the seats were torn and in a poor state. The coffee, fruit pastries and cereal were fine, and the staff very friendly

Very disappointed, looking forward to an early morning veggie breakfast and got 2 tasteless cardboard sausages, hash brown pellets, beans and a tomato. Also the seating in this area look like they have come from a charity shop, torn, uncomfortable. The food is definitely not worth the money. However, there is a good choice of alcohol and the staff are very attentive.

The only thing that has let this visit down this time, is the ordering of the hot food as opposed to our previous visit where we were able to go up and help ourselves. I feel a little uncomfortable having to keep asking for something as and when I fancy it rather than just being able to pop up to the food counter to help myself. Besides this is like to mention that Sian has made our visit more enjoyable , I like that she’s very chatty and friendly has taken the time out to make conversations with us, especially has she’s been to the same destination we are travelling to .

Just purchased a coffee and croissant in a cafe. Apparently not allowed to bring food inside so they missed out on my £55. Utter nonsense.

Furniture past its sell by date, staff member was rude and opinionated throughout and wouldnt allow us in until 2 hours before flight, yet your terms and conditiond say up to 2.5 hours before flight. Poor selection of food. There were lots of little flies on the loo, there were only 4 people in lounge, so not busy at all. Ive used the lounge several yimes. Hoeever after this visit on 22 Nov, morning I wont be booking again

I flew from Bristol to Frankfurt on 31 October 2023. As I was coming up the escalator, I fell over and injured my leg & wrist. Louise from the 1903 lounge was so helpful & kind and attended to me straight away. I want to send her my sincere thanks & appreciation. She helped me in a very difficult situation and is a definite asset to the lounge. Thank you.

Louise was our server when we attended the 1903 lounge, and she couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive to us. This was our first time in this lounge, and when Louise heard our visit was part of my wife’s birthday present, she made sure that we were looked after and very happy Louise should be the person that the rest of your staff aspire to be like

We had excellent service from Louise who was welcoming, friendly, charming and helpful. We dropped a star for food as the chef was not available to provide the breakfast eggs, as he had to deal with an emergency elsewhere. Despite this set back we would use again, and certainly recommend Louise

Paula was incredibly friendly and helped with a small issue at Reception as access was granted through KLM. Hot and cold food selection was ample and varied, with fresh eggs available on request. A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage all available on a 'help yourself' basis.

The lady at the entrance told us that today the lounge is open until 18.00, which was a lie, and did not let us in. Our flight was delayed, we were very tired, we couldn’t rest.

Ruth our hostess was amazing. She ensured we were looked after and made us feel special . Always attentive , can’t speak highly enough of her
