The Sun Public House in Havering

Only popped in for a couple of drinks before going for a meal. Large spacious pub with screens showing the football. It’s a shame because it felt to me that the pub had passed its better days. Slightly dated decor, and tiered looking. That said, the customers and bar person were friendly and polite. Lacking atmosphere though.

Great place for family to go and eat and friends to meet up before they hit Romford club scene

The pub had good service, as an outsider not from the area I felt a bit like an outsider

Tracy the Landlady is so much fun, she knows ALL the customers, and will chat away with us all, whilst putting stock away,and doing the drinks... I like the Sun Pub, (I think it will draw even more people in, once she starts selling hot food,and I for one will be definitely tasting the food. I've met quite a lot of new friends,and they've welcomed me into their Pub "gang", Everyone leaves with a smile.

Went they for a party, its a large pub with lively music and a nice atmosphere

Bar staff are fabulous, lovely pub.

Lovely outdoor area for the kids. New owners, staff are lovely and very catering for families. Large screen for sports viewings. Will be back again soon

Lovely big pub. Bar staff quick and friendly, very efficient. It was a Friday night and there was music on, courtesy of DJs, good mixture of sounds catering for all ages. Large back garden. Not my normal haunt but a place I always go back to. Well worth a visit.

Had a buffet with tea & coffee etc after funeral,very reasonable price good food & atmosphere.

Crack head infested pub, excellent if you need gear. Not the best I gather, even police dropped him back🤯🧐🧐🧐🤭

Great staff, family friendly, play area in garden for kids, reasonable prices on drinks. Live entertainment at weekends and pool tables and dart board available to use by anyone.

Ok pub. Nothing special. Moody bar maid.

Quite busy large London pub... Lots of screens for sports ... Wide choice of drinks ...lots of banter between all customers and staff.. Will return

A great pub, I've only been in early, so it was easy to find a seat, but they have a great range of beers and everybody is very friendly!

Lovely bar staff, not a place I would visit on a regular basis. Bit too canteeny.

What a great day and the staff need a medal absolutely fantastic staff and service couldn’t wish for better staff under pressure and still had a smile on there lovely faces well done what a lovely pub and great staff.

Went there last night what a fantastic atmosphere very hard working staff and very helpful and polite nothing is to much trouble great to see people enjoying there selves. The music was very good to will certainly make a return excellent pub

I was there for the band Half Stoned and they were brilliant. Especially the bass player. 😁

Great pub with a chilled friendly atmosphere. Also have 2 pool tables which is a plus. Their Juke machine is awesome too

This pub was very quiet, with little in the way of atmosphere & no food available. That being said, the staff were nice, they had a decent selection of drinks, allowed you to eat food you brought in with you & the place seemed to be well looked after.

Visited the sun pub last night and well was absolutely disgusted with how in the last month this pub has gone to pot. I turned up for a friends engagement and the pub was a mess unorganised and the new staff had no care in the matter. The staff were unhappy and there was a horrible smell within some areas which said to me the pub had not been cleaned (damp smell) not sure why suddenly this great pub has gone downhill but won’t be visiting again for a while.

Local Romford hostelry offers different areas to sit in, including games area, TV screen and downstairs where Romford folk club meets each Tuesday night. Has outside seating too, it looks like 2 different areas, which I haven't used but would probably be nice in summer.

Has a good "local" pub atmosphere and good mix of ages with customers.

Absolutely a brilliant night watching Beyond Conspiracy, great band at a great pub. Fantastic service when ordering drinks, nice friendly staff and a good atmosphere. I hope Beyond Conspiracy will play here again at a local pub.

Food amazing ! Fri night is the best night. Pool tables, available hire for the VIP lounge down stairs. Thank god there's still a place for all the locals to find out who's who.
