We were especially impressed by the lamb rogan josh and garlic naan—absolutely mouthwatering! The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, and the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their friendly, attentive service. You can tell the team here takes great pride in everything they do, from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients. Zaafran is a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. Five stars, easily!

Food very underwhelming and lacked flavour… service was a plus point.

Visited here last week whilst visiting family in London. The food was better than expected however one of the waiters was very rude. Asking us to order even before we sat down and telling us the kitchen closes in an hour so be quick. Other than that I would visit again when back in the area.

Some staff were not up to standard may need customer service course food was very nice atmosphere good just let down by some staff attitudes will think about going back again

Just ordered a takeaway at Zaafran with Justeats and unfortunately although both curries were very tasty the chicken in both dishes was very chewy and spoilt the meal. Biryani is supposed to have the chicken cooked in the rice but you could tell it was the same as the Rogan Josh so must have all been cooked in a batch

Booked a table for 2 , early at 6.30. Requested a bench seat ,due to my arthritis and mobility, Manager very rude ( not the first time!) and offered two awful seats in the middle. Felt humiliated and left. Won’t be re visiting I’m afraid

A good atmosphere in the restaurant & delicious Indian food. My wife & I really enjoyed & will be back sometime soon. Staff were very friendly & went out their way to make sure it a pleasant evening.

The worst food ever. Ordered online. Portion was less even than anywhere else starter. It was burned-out and not tasty. Called the restaurant they suppose to replace food but no show. So definitely not gonna eat there any more. Terrible experience 🤢

Having tried tons of different Indian cuisine places, this is my favourite. Amazing dishes (especially dhansak) and super nice service. I highly recommend this place!

The worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. The owner was rude by being condescending towards our table saying derogatory things and also being abusive. We felt insulted. We will never be returning again to this astablishment. He was the most horrible individual I have ever met, with derogatory language towards our group and also the women. I cannot speak about how rudely the owner was to us, from his abusive language to his intolerable actions. He spoke down to us stating he didn't care that we all felt offended by his actions. We even experienced all the waiters apologising to us for his behaviour. This spoke volumes of who was in the wrong. He was a really nasty piece of work and I would never recommend anyone to eat here in the future. Razza down the road is a LOT better, not only from the customer service but also the food. We were utterly appalled and disgusted with the behaviour we experienced tonight and I will be horrified if anyone ever experienced the situation we were in tonight. Disgusting person (owner) and disgusting treatment. AVOID.

I usually guage an Indian restaurant by the quality of the dips with the poppadoms. They were good so I expected a good curry. I was wrong, I got the best dansak I've had in several years, including 5 weeks spent im india pre pandemic. And value for money, even my tight arsed boss would have been happy with the price!! To quote Arnie, I'll be back!

Ordered a meal on the day my mother in law died (23rd Dec). It arrived 40 mins after scheduled time and was nearly all stone cold. We were all exhausted after the day we had had and so could not be asked to complain that day and most of it went in the bin. We spoke to the restaurant and were told we had to go to deliveroo as we ordered through them. They have taken months to deal with this and we were offered a £14 refund of an order over £110 and which 3/4 of the food was cold. Told by the restaurant that our complaint was with deliveroo not them!! Avoid as clearly they don't care about their customers and are happy to have customers wait hours for a cold meal!!!

Ok. Bit expensive but clean & tidy & good staff. Starters were only Luke warm which is why I gave 4 stars.

Always a good night out here. Staff are excellent and welcoming. Foods good, have a varied section you don't have to be into curry to enjoy a meal here plenty of choice. Always a treat

We Have been To This Restaurant Many Times Always Good Service with Very Good and Friendly Staff with a Warm Welcome at The Door very lovely Decor And last but not Lest Fantastic Food From a Fantastic menu Going Back there Again in Two weeks , You can also make a reservation on the website .

I’ve always recommended as a 5* but tonight the chefs special beef was well under-par. Meat was tough and chewy even when each cube was cut into smaller pieces. It normally breaks down into the sauce and is a masterpiece - sadly not tonight

It was a first visit to this restaurant and would definitely return again. The food was delicious and cooked so good. This was all eaten in a nice comfortable and smart surroundings. Definitely recommend Zaafran.

Had a great experience. All the food tasted excellent & was presented very nicely! The mango raas malai was especially good - 10/10 Recommend checking this place out.

Very delicious food and service. Also provides Wine and Beer which is a plus. Perfect for a night out or hanging with friends and family. They also do booking as well so you can reserve your own space.

One of my favourite places with the best vegetable dishes. Pickled pumpkin and mushrooms with spinach are delicious. Service is friendly and attentive.

Went on a Saturday night, it was very busy & now I know why! The food was absolutely delicious, the best Indian food I ever tasted from a restaurant. It was just different from the norm & served beautifully. Very friendly service, will definitely be back! Thanks for a great night.

Food portions In the restaurant 50 percent the size of take away portiins although very tasty. I won't be coming back as I feel this restaurant is not value from money. Service was also a bit slow!

Food was OK however drinks are a total rip off! We had a main each, couple of sides to share and minimal drinks. £80 between 4 people. We don't mind paying for a nice meal however when you're paying £4.30 for a pint of coke they're ripping people off! Menu specials were very highly priced also. I usually like to try something different however none took my fancy especially averaging £12 and upwards. Food or service wasn't good enough to warrant a return dinner. Will be going elsewhere in future

This is one of the best Indian restaurants around the area. The staff are attentive, food is absolutely amazing, service is quick and we return their time after time after time. If you are reading the negative comments, just go there and try for yourself, you will not be disappointed at all.

Terrible restaurant rushed us out, food was awful and the waiters were the worst I’ve ever come across if your coming to a curry house in gidea park use RAZZA (next door but 3) takes a little longer but worth it ......ZAAFRAN in gidea Park main road is a No No !!!

Booked an online reservation through the website 3 hours before going, got to the restaurant and they simply said they have nothing and we need to book it 12 hours in advance, the staff there where not helpful and simply said we had to leave... disgusting if this was the case it shouldn't let you reserve online should It? .... mugs

Attentive staff, nice modern style Indian restaurant with a good menu with that offers alternatives to the usual dishes. Food is always hot when served and you can tell that only fresh ingredients are used. Well worth a visit.
