The Sun Inn in Wrexham

Me and my husband had planned to meet a few friends at the Sun inn pub for a drink one day last week. All I can say is I was quite disappointed in the atmosphere I’ve been to the Sun inn before and it’s always been great fun! but this time round it was quite unpleasant a young girl (blonde hair, can’t be sure of her name) behind the bar quite rude to my husband when trying to order our drinks almost as if she didn’t have time to serve him our table hadn’t been cleared and was full of glasses to the point my friend Lorrie her husband started taking them to the bar of course this isn’t what bothered me but the young staff seemed to be more interested In going for smoke breaks to talk to their friends that were also drinking in the pub - quite disappointed

Came for Christmas dinner which we were looking forward to as we regularly come to the sun but although the service from the man at the bar and the servers was good, it was just the overall feeling and the ending put a dampener on things. Food was good but was very rushed as soon as one course ended the next began no time to digest the food before it. The bar area trying to get a drink was too overcrowded and there were people standing at the bar instead of sitting at tables made it hard to get to the bar. The ending is where it went poor, two our party couldn't come due to a family emergency and although we had paid the deposit and the other 10 of us went there we were told we had to pay the remainder £50 for the people who couldn't come. When we were discussing this at the table the lady at the bar was watching us with the cash and card machine made it very uncomfortable. We scrambled the money together and when we went to pay she said we still needed to pay for two more! Uh no! Seemed very disorganised. We understand that Christmas costs extra with the food and staffing etc but no sympathy or negotiation on the situation left us no desire to leave a tip for what was good food and service. Very disappointing.

Lovely food, good price. great atmosphere. Staff are wonderful especially jasmine who is always friendly and we are so regular she knows our daughters order by heart ❤️ X

the food was ok and i liked the music and it was cheap too i rem=comend the beefchicken and gamon its a great place to be :)

Food is always lovely with choice of beef; chicken; & gammon. All the usual veg and roast spuds etc. Well worth the £8 per person. Home cooked taste with none of the washing up...!

called in to the sun pub good atmosphere good background music ,really friendly staff and very clean,had sunday lunsh only £8 carvery,could not believe the quality or quantity fantastic value for money
