Absolutely shocking service ordered my food told me 30 to 45 mins and a hour and half later very rude staff said its going to be a extra 20 mins no apologies for taking longer nothing .

Regular customer order every week. Placed an order 3/4 of order correct. Called back to say Special fried rice not included but I had received seaweed( not ordered) was then told I had to pay the extra for the seaweed that I hadn’t ordered. Then Tracey the owner hung up on me. Did receive the missing item eventually. Will never order from there again

During our recent long weekend stay in Aberdare, Wales, we decided to try out a local Chinese takeaway after visiting the Four Waterfalls. Unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The rice dishes we ordered were just about passable—nothing special, but not terrible either. However, the curries were a major disappointment. Despite requesting a spicy flavour, what we received was overwhelmingly sweet, far from what a proper curry should taste like. The only redeeming feature of the meal was their spring rolls, which were quite good. Overall, it was a lacklustre experience, and we wouldn't be in a rush to order from there again. Full stop.

Walked into the shop and the female Chinese staff member/manager was going absolutely ballistic, screaming and in full on range at the young lady behind the counter. She wasn't much better to me, a paying customer, and clearly hasn't learnt manners or respect for others. I have heard her screaming and shouting previously, she clearly does this on a regular basis and thinks it's acceptable to belittle her staff, treating them with contempt, as if they are worthless and below any form of consideration. The atmosphere is unbearably hostile and unfortunately her shocking behaviour leads to shocking service. As a customer I would rather support a small local business who treat their staff and customers with respect and dignity. The food has drastically gone down hill, it's bland at best. The shop needs a good clean too. I have lived local since birth and been a customer for many years, however for the above reasons, but mostly because of the Chinese women's poor behaviour, I will not be ordering from there again. I would absolutely not recommend this place either. To the young lady behind the counter, I'm sorry you are treated so badly. You did an amazing job of staying so calm, but you should never ever tolerate being spoken to like that. I hope you realise your worth, there's far better people to work for out there.

3 times out of the last 4 times I've been here they messed up the order be a good idea to stop the young girls arsing about on their phone and take the order correct I will never go there again

This is the second time to have received a messed up food order off the sun but today has really done it for me rang to say had the wrong order young girl on the phone said yes labels where mixed up we will re cook your order and send it out so I asked nd what do I do with the other food she said hand it back to delivery driver so when it came I went to hand it back and she told me no we only replace what was missing so I had a bag of cold food thqt was mot what I ordered that has now gone in the bin and spent 20 quid for nothing and offered a 10% off next order edited review the lady who owns the shop rang me and was brilliant explained that the issue was lack of communication between the 3 of us and has gone above and beyond to resolve this issue thank you

Just picked our usual Chinese meal, but. Would normally order on a Saturday. It’s ok the food was cooked yesterday and warmed up today. Chips stewed and recooked, noodles not fresh, popadoms already soft. Chicken balls overcooked.

I tried here due to good reviews. But not impressed with the food or service really. There was a lot of big chunks of chicken so I'll give them credit for that. However the chow mein was so,so greasy, absolutely swimming in it. Also next to no bean sprouts. I may as well have ordered only noodles. I won't order from here again. Delivery was also 25 minutes late, & the driver is the same one that reversed into a neighbours car & drove off in the summer ( no damage luckily). Having witnessed that, I stayed & watched them with my car this time.

The food was nice and the lady taking order was sweet, the delivery driver was very polite! My only issue was that after pulling out the second long (either blonde or grey) curly hair from my mouth while eating the prawn crackers really disappointed me. 🥴🤮

The Sun was suggested but put off by lack of "curb appeal" and some negative reviews, mostly deliveries. Good food, quick (collection ordered on arrival 8pm Friday night, so peak time) at reasonable cost.

I’m not sure why this place gets good reviews. Firstly they only take cash which is both strange and inconvenient. If you have to go to get cash then you may as well pick it up. But be warned the location is chaotic with parking a nightmare. The chips were disgusting The Hong King style sweet and sour pork is not Hong King style as that is Cantonese which theirs is not. I specifically asked on the phone if they do it Cantonese style but the receptionist didnt have a clue. Don’t go here if you like your takeaway Cantonese style, want to order from home for delivery without having to venture yo a cashpoint or want nice chips.

I phoned to order food for delivery for 7pm and they tried to deliver it at 5pm when I wasent home when I phoned them about it was a shambles and they refused to redeliver my food at the correct time

Have ordered from here twice and been let down both times. My delivery just now took two hours when I was told an hour. No apology or anything. Please be honest if you’re busy because it’s really disappointing as a customer and I won’t be returning.

Great little Chinese which is always busy ...great food and if you haven't tried the pancake rolls your missing out ...some of the best lve ever tasted

Forgot part of the order! Was told it would be on its way when the delivery driver came back which stinks considering we have to keep this food warm! Asked for a discount and was told you'll get 10% discount next time! There won't be a next time...so now currently waiting on the chicken! Absolutely disgusting from "the sun" can't fault the young girl answering the phone poor thing has to do what she's told!

Absolutely love this place! Never fails food is always fresh and hot. Girls are lovely on the phone and drivers are friendly. Crispy won tons are to die for. Won’t order from anywhere else.

Just had a delivery from this place and hands down the nicest Chinese I have EVER had !!!!! Between me my partner and our son....there wasn't nothing left....as full as we were just kept eating !!! I'll keep it simple went here because the one we normally go to was closed on the day we fancied a Chinese. Needless to say I was not impressed. First, the place was freezing it was colder in the shop than outside 😂 Then the wait took forever 10 minutes they said, 20 minutes later I was still waiting for my order which wasn't all that big. While other customers came in ordered after me and left before me. Then let's talk about the important part the food, bland and barely warm. Nothing we ordered had any sort of flavour or temperature to it. Waste of money will not go bakc there again.

Had a Chinese from this place for years. Today ordered chicken omelette and chips . Hour and half later and it was delivered. Chip were either yesterday's or been in the car too long...rank ! Phoned to complain and they were really not interested. So , finding myself a new Chinese .. ONE MONTH ON..... I am please to say that the food is back to fabulous ! After that poor meal I had , it's seems to be better than ever . So I will be ordering again Thank you...THE SUN !

We ordered crispy shredded beef and the portion wasn't even enough for one person. I rang up to complain and was told the manager would be informed when he gets back in a weeks time. Ridiculous

Honestly the best chinese I've had. Personally I am very picky but this chinese is very nice and has alot of choice. The portions are a bit small but for me it's enough.

Caused me to have a terrible stomach, never been so sick in my life. Will never buy from here again absolutely disgusting! Can't even believe I have to give it a 1 star rating, it doesn't deserve even half a star! 0 for me! Disgusting! Please people I'd advise you to buy your Chinese from somewhere else.
