Food was really nice. Really enjoyed my Texas jack burger. Our waitress madi was lovely and helped me decide on what to order. Always smiling even when busy. Will definitely be returning ☺️

Had the Carvey and food was spot on all fresh and Jordon on the Carvey was very attentive was there straight away to serve us and asked how we was he was very polite definitely recommended to anyone.

the food was absolutely lovely and the staff were amazing, i got served by madi and she was very friendly and very smiley, i had an issue with the cutlery and she was the first one there to help me. overall, everything was on point.

Went on my day off and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very polite and the carver jordon sorted me out with the gammon. Definitely will be coming back.

First time visit unaware of the need to register my car on arrival - no mention on website or on entry to pub - hit by 100 pound fine 2 weeks later - absolutely appalled- lots of pubs shutting every week - there is no wonder

Went there last Monday absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere took my nephew into the wacky being greeted by Amy who was very helpful when I needed it

After a tough experience at the cinema watching A Minecraft Movie ™️ when all my popcorn was thrown by my 9 year old nephew Jason Bourne. I was extremely pleased with the service that Amy was able to provide and she only mentioned chicken jockey ™️ once!

Great location great food. The lady (Sarah) serving us was a great help very polite Would definitely recommend and will be coming back very soon.

Be careful of this place, they have now started sending out parking fines for using the car park, we've been in this place a few times last year, and there was no fine for using the car park, also staff seem to be very poorly trained not knowing how to use the till etc, don't know if this place has changed management, but standards have dropped alot, food very poor quality, standards have dropped to wetherspoon levels (who charge alot less), Won't be using this place again, very sneaky with the car park starting to fine people, a few other people that i know have decided to stop using this place because of the risk of parking fine, be careful of any greene king with a car park, as no doubt this is a way for them to rip you off for £60, it's certainly one way to lose custom

Came in for food on Saturday and it was spot on. The carver Jordon was extremely helpful and warned me about how the roast potatoes weren't suitable for me as I am a vegetarian. The veg itself was lovely definitely would come again.

Yesterday I came to story teller with my grandad getting the gammon I always love from here. A guy called Neil on carvery was so sweet and respectful! Love this place would recommend to everyone i know!

Great value carvery with excellent veg choice. Menu is typical pub food .used by lots of families with young children so can be noisy and hectic but place is well staffed and presented great

Went in today with my boyfriend we had steak and chips Alyssa made sure we was all okay and gave us amazing customer service highly recommend.

The person “Jordon” on carvery was very kind and made sure I had everything that I wanted was a very positive and pleasant person if I could give individual ratings just for staff they’d get 10/10

Went for a few drinks after shopping at parkgate. Sarah behind the bar was welcoming and very professional. Would definitely come again when the sun is out for the great beer garden on the front.

Came for food with my younger niece, went into wacky and was greeted by Nicola she was very welcoming and helpful. Any additional needs that I needed was met by Nicola. I will definitely be bringing my niece back

I came here on a day out with my dad and a lovely waiter called Alyssa served our table not only was her service perfect but she made my dad laugh and I think that topped our day. What a wonderful place to go the food was amazing best gamon I've had.

Nice local pub, all the staff are very friendly especially nicola who works in the play area. They have a indoor play area plus and outdoor one which is great. Would recommend.

The worst carvery on planet earth the girl who served us was nice but the guy cutting the meat was rude and disrespectful and the food was absolutely disgusting wouldnt feed it two the rats

Went here for a family meal which was quite busy for a Friday afternoon.Food was alright for what your paying for now a days so couldn’t really complain,grandkids had a good time in the wacky warehouse,Amy and other members of staff in the play area were friendly and polite towards the kids and they chuffed with there dairy milk buttons and malteasers they got Would visit again :)

Visited recently and was very impressed with the food. Was very fresh and cooked perfectly. Our server, Kat was lovely and attentive and passed our message of thanks on to the chef (Sue) for the beautifully cooked food.

Came in Tuesday and wanted to give a quick shout out to Kelly on the bar, was a little swamped at times but she worked efficiently and got through our queue quickly. Love a good bartender, me.

Called in here for tea after shopping in parkgate. The pub is so welcoming the food was really nice too. Karen was really helpful when taking our order and nothing was too much trouble to change things. I would recommend nippingbin for food and drink, it was really nice.

Shout out to the Storyteller pub staff and in particular the floor staff! Was a few names I wanted to mention but Charlotte was the only one I managed to grab, well done!

Was shopping at parkgate and thought why not treat myself to a cold beer and some food so called to the storyteller the carvery was calling my name the chef was great and cudnt do more very generous with meat think his name was josh what a lad good all round will be back

Went in to take the kids to wacky today, Shaunie was super patient with us as it's our first time coming which was appreciated. Went next door to round off the visit with some food and was again met with excellent service from Kelly on the bar! Will definitely be back! Thanks guys :)

Go in often it's a lovely pub with good food and staff especially on the carvery the server who's name was Jordon was extremely helpful and welcoming

Staff did there best to ignore us when we walked in. 3 of us had carvery, the veg was potatoes, parsnips, carrots and sprouts were all were all undercooked, gravy looked like it had been out all day and had the consistency of slime. The kids barely ate any of their food and I struggled. The only reason I have given 2 stars is the kids ate for free which we were not expecting, so only paid £20 for 4 of us to eat out.

Tried to ring this place to book a kids party for the last couple of weeks. Try picking up the phone!!

Be careful when using the car park we called in to see someone had a quick drink and a couple of days later got a 60 quid fine for not registering the vehicle at the bar contacted storyteller and they said it's nothing to do with them which I find hard to believe will be avoiding storyteller from now on

Came in for Mothers day carvery and I have to say the food was very disappointing. Wafer thin meat that you could virtually see through, carrots that was still raw and that you needed a chainsaw to cut, broccoli that was not cooked enough. Don't know who chef is but I'm pleased he's not cooking my meals for me. The table staff was also below par, wanting to clear your plate away while other members of your party were especially kids were still eating, then got a sarcastic question about taking plates away when all done. All in all very disappointing

Celebrated a 50th birthday for a large group of people, buffet ordered was lovely and more than plenty could have ordered less to be fair, no one went hungry. Thank you

Very busy today, most tables were reserved so had to wait for a table, was seated opposite the kitchen door. Noticed a waitress in and out of the doors constantly with used plates etc and coming out with meals and always with a smile on her face. Rachel you deserve a medal WELL DONE.

Got to say the carvery here is one of the best in the area of late,special shout out to Neil who does the carvery,always top notch when he's on and can't do enough to help folk... Atmosphere can vary from chilled and relaxed to absolute chaos and manic...

Went to collect my son from the play area & got a £100 parking fine, the staff were incapable of telling us we needed to register our vehicle. ABSOLUTE JOKE! Will not return!

We stopped in for a drink whilst out shopping and went out to the play park. The area seems a little run down but otherwise it's your standard Greene King. Ample parking. *update - stopped for food this time - poor carvery (old, greasy roasties, fatty gammon, dregs of beef) where the best thing about it was the gravy (!!) and a poor 'Jumbo' Crispy Chicken was more of a kids meal size. Greasy chicken, rock hard peas. Hot sauce was nice.

Was hoping to see the chef in the green hat but he wasn't here,hes a right laugh. Great service from Owen and Karen. Best car ery in Rotherham 🙂

Great food nice place very friendly staff

The food was great. The gammon and the roasted meat was cooked to prefection and smell divine, both meats were very moisty and perfecly cooked they melted in my mouth, the onion greavy was delicious and rich elevating the dish to a higher standard. The mash was delicious soft and creamy exacly how it should be. The veggies were ok, but not the potatoes, the bigger potatos was slightly raw wich means they needed a few more mins to get ready thats the only reason for a 4 star rating. But i will cameback for sure.

Really friendly staff, especially the server on the carvery and the people working in the wacky warehouse. Felt welcome and valued as a customer. Will definitely return.

Had the shortest wait ever while they found where to put 7 people. The food was all excellent and the staff very helpful. It was quite busy and the bar staff coped well. The car park has plenty of spaces.
