Not as nice S last time but good value for money will go again clean and friendly staff

Attended here and was stood at the entrance for 10 mins waiting for a seat (the place was not busy or full) whilst people was walking past not acknowledging us. One worker walked passed and was eating cake with a customer, food was not great, missing things of our order and was just bog standard food. I’m no snob but would not come here again. People that came in got served immediately whilst we was still waiting for our food. No customer service skills from the staff at all bar one customer who was apologetic towards our party.

I have nicknamed this pub THE FIDDLE - because it is a vile inn .First time visit unaware of the need to register my car on arrival - no mention on website or on entry to pub - hit by 100 pound fine 2 weeks later - absolutely appalled- lots of pubs shutting every week - there is no wonder- how can you prove patronage when you pay by cash - there was no A board on arrival and no one on the door to seat and greet - try a proper old fashioned pub - we'll be paying for the toilet next

Oh my God! The older woman who was working in the play area on Tuesday afternoon 27th May, is downright RUDE and ABRUPT! Talks to people like rubbish, and literally shouted at us the second we walked through the door! She needs a course in customer service, because she was clearly doesn't know how to speak to or treat people.

Foods disappointing and under cooked when ordering mixed grill, the sausages were anyway and the steaks were all fat no meat. Chips were cold. Just all in all none of us enjoyed any of our food and there were four adults and a child and we spent just shy of £50 wasn’t worth the money at all. And whilst being in the play area we witnessed a mother changing her son’s nappy on top of the freezer instead of the baby change and none of the staff battered an eyelid. Massively unsanitary.

Had a great carvery here today. Food was fab. Pub had a good atmosphere and staff were very friendly. Served at the bar by a friendly staff member called Amy who was lovely and chatty and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend a visit!

We were told kids eat free went and ordered the food & was charged full price to then be told afterwards that the staff member got the information wrong & it starts the week after! Ordered a breakfast with NO mushrooms, it arrived WITH mushrooms on it, sent it back , for it to be then returned with the mushrooms scrapped off the plate but mushroom juice& remains of mushrooms left on the plate! Shocking service &Luke warm food , definitely avoid !

Lovely food, staff were so friendly and welcoming. Especially Bobbie making sure we had everything we needed and making this visit extra special with drink recommendations and eye to detail with the new food menu. Many thanks.

Got a parking ticket when parking in your car park for a meal I've been coming here for years will never set foot in any of your pubs again cashing in on your customers everyone should do the same Apparently I was supposed to log my number plate at the bar. I won't give personal details to anyone let alone a private company that just sells your data and bombard you will crap.

Rachel is always friendly and cannot do enough for us, she always has a smile and is a hard worker

Had an issue with food order but the server kylie came immediately and sorted out our issues and had a fantastic visit and food was amazing. The server was amazing and extremely polite will visit again

Was in parkgate at the time and had decided to come into the storyteller with my friend, we both had a carvery and thought it was amazing! our server was Alyssa and she was very sweet will definitely be going again!

Came into the Wacky Warehouse and served by Amy, she was incredibly helpful and was so polite and friendly to the kids, we will definitely be coming again!

Great visit here! Alyssa was fab as our waitress, promptly clearing our plates and taking our dessert order at the table! Would reccomend!

Went on my day off and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very polite and the carver jordon sorted me out with the gammon. Definitely will be coming back.

We have never been before but will definitely be back. The food was great and the service from Amy was excellent and to top it off you have sports showing too.

We came here yesterday and was served by Amy. She was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The food was lovely too.

Had the Carvey and food was spot on all fresh and Jordon on the Carvey was very attentive was there straight away to serve us and asked how we was he was very polite definitely recommended to anyone.

After a tough experience at the cinema watching A Minecraft Movie ™️ when all my popcorn was thrown by my 9 year old nephew Jason Bourne. I was extremely pleased with the service that Amy was able to provide and she only mentioned chicken jockey ™️ once!

Great location great food. The lady (Sarah) serving us was a great help very polite Would definitely recommend and will be coming back very soon.

Be careful of this place, they have now started sending out parking fines for using the car park, we've been in this place a few times last year, and there was no fine for using the car park, also staff seem to be very poorly trained not knowing how to use the till etc, don't know if this place has changed management, but standards have dropped alot, food very poor quality, standards have dropped to wetherspoon levels (who charge alot less), Won't be using this place again, very sneaky with the car park starting to fine people, a few other people that i know have decided to stop using this place because of the risk of parking fine, be careful of any greene king with a car park, as no doubt this is a way for them to rip you off for £60, it's certainly one way to lose custom

I went shopping decided to call in the storyteller for food after not been in for a while I was pleasantly surprised by the service received kylie served my table and was very chatty ' friendly and very smiley

Yesterday I came to story teller with my grandad getting the gammon I always love from here. A guy called Neil on carvery was so sweet and respectful! Love this place would recommend to everyone i know!

Came in for food on Saturday and it was spot on. The carver Jordon was extremely helpful and warned me about how the roast potatoes weren't suitable for me as I am a vegetarian. The veg itself was lovely definitely would come again.

Went in today with my boyfriend we had steak and chips Alyssa made sure we was all okay and gave us amazing customer service highly recommend.

Great value carvery with excellent veg choice. Menu is typical pub food .used by lots of families with young children so can be noisy and hectic but place is well staffed and presented great

Went for a few drinks after shopping at parkgate. Sarah behind the bar was welcoming and very professional. Would definitely come again when the sun is out for the great beer garden on the front.

I came in on Sunday and the food was amazing the staff was so lovely I spoke to a young girl named Charlotte who was so lovely and joyful what a lovely experience

Went to the Storyteller yesterday and had a carvery, the server from the carvery Neil i think his name was were very nice and helpful and the food was amazing 10/10 definitely going again.

Went with my daughter the food was bang on the atmosphere was great and the waitress Alyssa was amazing and tended to our every needs

I came here on a day out with my dad and a lovely waiter called Alyssa served our table not only was her service perfect but she made my dad laugh and I think that topped our day. What a wonderful place to go the food was amazing best gamon I've had.

Came in Friday with my Son and Nephew after shopping around in retail world, the food there was amazing and so was the service by Alyssa.

Nice local pub, all the staff are very friendly especially nicola who works in the play area. They have a indoor play area plus and outdoor one which is great. Would recommend.

Went here for a family meal which was quite busy for a Friday afternoon.Food was alright for what your paying for now a days so couldn’t really complain,grandkids had a good time in the wacky warehouse,Amy and other members of staff in the play area were friendly and polite towards the kids and they chuffed with there dairy milk buttons and malteasers they got Would visit again :)

The worst carvery on planet earth the girl who served us was nice but the guy cutting the meat was rude and disrespectful and the food was absolutely disgusting wouldnt feed it two the rats

Visited recently and was very impressed with the food. Was very fresh and cooked perfectly. Our server, Kat was lovely and attentive and passed our message of thanks on to the chef (Sue) for the beautifully cooked food.

Lovely atmosphere a great pub with lovely food the staff are so helpful especially Chloe who helped us from the moment we arrived recommending us dishes with quick service at the bar, will be coming back again

Came in Tuesday and wanted to give a quick shout out to Kelly on the bar, was a little swamped at times but she worked efficiently and got through our queue quickly. Love a good bartender, me.

Was shopping at parkgate and thought why not treat myself to a cold beer and some food so called to the storyteller the carvery was calling my name the chef was great and cudnt do more very generous with meat think his name was josh what a lad good all round will be back

Called in here for tea after shopping in parkgate. The pub is so welcoming the food was really nice too. Karen was really helpful when taking our order and nothing was too much trouble to change things. I would recommend nippingbin for food and drink, it was really nice.

Went in to take the kids to wacky today, Shaunie was super patient with us as it's our first time coming which was appreciated. Went next door to round off the visit with some food and was again met with excellent service from Kelly on the bar! Will definitely be back! Thanks guys :)
