so good i abandoned my urgent hospital appointment to come here for a fillet steak, no joke.

Food is good but very overpriced. Staff are very friendly & lovely. Very busy & loud on a Saturday night. A bit cramed. Kalamari rings were too greasy which was a shame.

Top notch steak, warm service. Ribeye cooked to perfection. Oysters half price before 7!

Went here for our wedding anniversary and it exceeded our expectations in terms of quality of food & service. The staff were very nice & attentive. The food was prepared perfectly with amazing taste & quality. Am definitely putting this place in my regular places to dine at.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere and steak was perfectly cooked. Don’t recommend the prawn tempura as the batter is too thick. Otherwise would definitely come back for the steak

Went here as suggested by a friend. The steak was delicious (melt in mouth tender) and I would highly recommend the creamed spinach and tuna tartare. The crispy skinny chips were also scrumptious. We will definitely be coming again.

i’ve been to this steak restaurant couple of times when in London with family! the staff members are friendly and patient. the steaks are super soft and juicy! there’s several sauce options to pick from, which complement the dish very well! their desserts are great too, with the sticky toffee pudding being the real showstopper!

Not sure who the chef was today (3 July), the food was on point this evening. My hubby had the chicken sausages for starter, we had two salmon dinners, sides mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Took a takeaway for our daughter and the food was very tasty (her words). A good chef. The staff were welcoming and the service was very smooth. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I have been here on a few occasions and have to say from serving halal food to the quality of the service and food, I am never disappointed. It is on the pricer side once you factor in drinks and starters and sides but I would say overall it is worth the price. I will definitely visit again.

Excellent food and service. Rib eye steak was cooked as ordered, medium rare but it was on the chewy side, possibly a storage or preparation change is needed. Bread roll to start tasted nice. Service was excellent, everyone was attentive and friendly. Prices are high, but offers during the week soften the blow. Will definitely visit again.

Place came highly recommend from a friend. We decided to try it out because another restaurant we originally wanted to go was closed. The staff are extremely friendly and take the time to give recommendations and offer their opinions when asked. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere that leaves patrons very comfortable and at ease. For the appetizers we got the Pacific tempura shrimp and chicken wings. The teriyaki chicken wings were perfectly sauced, although they weren't very crispy they were still enjoyable. The pacific shrimp tempura was perfect in every way. Amazing sauces, perfectly crispy with the best shrimp I've had in a while. We ordered two virgin cocktails, I got the passion fruit mojito, and I swear I could bring a whole gallon without getting tired of the taste. We ordered a thick cut prime rib, which was the most tender piece of meat I've ever tasted. It had all the flavour that naturally comes with the prime rib, with the perfect amount of chew. They have perfected their steaks. We also order the Wagyu burger. It looked amazing, very soft and tender, unfortunately from a flavour standpoint it didn't wow me like the rest of the dishes. Overall this place, although a tad pricey ( £100 for two) is definitely worth going to once in a while for a fancy evening. Finally with the bill, I wanted to give an additional tip because of the fantastic service, only to notice that it was already included. It's a shame because I would have given them more than what was included in the bill.

Top quality fresh food and consistent service no matter what time you book. Ive had both lunch, dinner and Sunday roast and have zero complaints. Families and Couples dining in complete harmony. All Staff (special shout to Eleanor & Ali) knowledgeable and attentive. My go to restaurant for date nights, lunch with the girls and my family.

We were given a voucher for our 55th wedding anniversary, and decided to go for lunch on a Friday. We were shown to our table, and given the lunch time menu, and regular one. We decided to eat from the lunch time one, which had a very good choice of starters and mains. Very tasty BBQ chicken wings for me, and piri piri sausages for hubby, to follow I upgraded to a rib eye steak, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection, hubby had chicken parmigiana which he really enjoyed. The dessert menu was to die for and I don't normally eat desserts, but they had grilled pineapple so I treated myself and boy was it good, sticky toffee pudding was my husband's choice, light hot and very tasty. The waiter was very friendly, because it was lunch time not over crowded, so you could hear yourself speak, easy to park, all in all a great experience

Had the 2 course lunch there. The starter was tasty and served promptly I then had the chicken ceaser salad for main course. Unfortunately 2 pieces of chicken were pink / red in the middle. I brought this to the attention of staff who apologised but still charged me the full amount with service charge The food was great, but a discount offered on inedible food would have resolved the issue

Went to The Steak Restaurant to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Fantastic food at a reasonable price, for the type of restaurant / meal. We both really enjoyed it. Thought the menu was good too. Would go again

It's going to be my go-to place for halal steak every time. All our variety of rare, well-done, medium rare was correctly noted by the wait staff and cooked as ordered. The creamed spinach and chunky chips were fresh and really tasty too 😋 😍

The ceasar salad, best one I’ve had ever. The Mac is also good. I’m not a fan of steak but I will say the food is really cooked to perfection and I’ll definitely come back to try something else. The cocktails are also nice and sweet.

Went with family and friends. This was my first visit but others had been before. The crab starter was delicious. Ordered the largest sirloin medium rear. Unfortunately had to send it back as it was underdone but was returned cooked to perfection. Would visit again. Nice atmosphere and staff.

Liked the 350g Rib-eye here, ordered the halal menu, was a good quality very filling steak.

What a fab Sunday lunch!! Roast was so tender and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were al dente and the Yorkshire pudding was home Cooked a crispy. My husband had the prawns, and even the presentation was amazing. Couldn’t fault a thing and the staff were so attentive. The toilets were spotless and the clientele seemed to be regulars who were greeted with a friendly greeting or a joke. 100% recommend and will be booking up again for my husbands birthday in a few weeks. Thank you to all the staff.

Disappointing sirloin steak at lunch due to abundant gristle and fat. I paid extra for sauce and a service charge was added to the bill. Overpriced and poor quality meal. Not recommended.

Probably the best steaks I have had in a very long time, and certainly some the best outside of Mid-West USA. Can't recommend more highly.

We had a really nice evening celebration, staff really friendly and helpful especially when it came to suggestions from the menu, we where a party of 6 , complex menu when it comes to steak dishes awesome ceaser salat, love the oysters especially that you don t really find any good ones except central London talking from my own experience and also beeing a fan of them. Now before I go on just wanted to mention that I m not really a dessert type of guy but that night I felt like going "dangerous" ,I m just saying this as a suggestion not as a disappointment ,dessert wise I personally didn't find nothing interesting on the menu aldo as classic as it sounds I m shure a tiramisu or something similar would've really did the job . Other than that we had a awesome experience, was the 2nd time we bin there this time with friends , strongly recommend and guarantee we will be back 🤘 9/10.

It absolutely delicious! The staff were so friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome! We had the Wagyu Ribeye, USDA New York Stip and Tomahawk Steak along with plenty of sides! The Wagyu I must say was sensational!! A must try if you ever come here.. it nearly bought tears to our eyes (no joke). We will definitely be back again, soon!

Went with my friends who had steaks. They are happy of course. But I am a Vegan and what am I doing at a Steak house you may ask but I am sure I'm not the only one who wanted to have a meal with my friends who happened to be Meat eaters. I had a Soup of the day. Which was veggie. The only other thing was aubergines with sweet potato which I am not fond of.

I attended on Saturday evening at 8:15 and the restaurant was at full capacity so there was very little space to move around and it was extremely loud which wasn't good for me. But the food and service was phenomenal 🥰

We went there last weekend and was amazed by the food. If you like steak you should definitely visit this place. We really liked the steaks, service was very good. It was little noise as many birthday parties were going on. Except that it is a good place to visit.

This is my go-to place for local steak and have never been disappointed. Great food and fantastic service, with a wine list that hits the spot, we’ve been here several times over the last few years, and always great. If you want great steak without going into the city, or paying city prices, you must check this place out.

Went for a lovely dinner to celebrate partners birthday. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff, great food and decent portions - and sadly we had no room for dessert! If you’re after a good steak - this is the place to go. The only place to go in this area!

The tomahawk steak was awful, very chewy and tasteless! The ribeye was slightly better, but full of white sinew! They felt like very cheap cuts but for high prices!! The service was amazing. Unfortunately we won’t be going again, the meat just isn’t good enough!!

My partner and I ate here last week during the unseasonably warm weather and we had a mixed experience. The positives: the steaks were good quality and nicely seasoned; my sirloin was cooked perfectly; the bearnaise sauce was nice; the cocktails were decent value during happy hour; service was efficient, if not overly warm/friendly (there weren't many smiles going around but they were very busy); the macaroni cheese was quite nice. The negatives: my partner requested her ribeye rare but it came medium-rare (she decided to not complain, so the restaurant didn't have the opportunity to rectify it, but surely this is basic for a steak restaurant?); the triple cooked chips were plain and not enjoyable by themselves; it was VERY noisy and quite warm/stuffy (they only turned on the ceiling fans later in the evening) which put us off staying for dessert; at £60 per person for one course and a few drinks each, it felt expensive for what it is. Overall, we're open to trying it again because of the quality of the steaks, but we aren't in a rush because we were quite disappointed to have a 6.5/10 experience after reading all the positive reviews, and ultimately this meant we didn't feel it represented decent value. We have no problem paying £120 if it's worth it but this wasn't, sadly.

Second time back in 2 weeks. Had Sunday roast this time! Was alright. Wished there was more gravy and potatoes were softer. But was good overall. Really enjoyed the sausages for starters. Wings could have been better. Sauce was not fresh

Absolutely superb meal for my son’s birthday dinner. The steak was unreal. The staff just as good. We even requested something off menu (onion rings) and they made sure they provided the most AMAZING crispy onion rings with our meal. Just can’t fault any aspect of the experience. Better than Hawksmore, Goodman’s, Gaucho and the rest and you don’t need to travel to town for an incredible steak. Thank you team. Amazing!!

Went for my Birthday, Good Food , just a little noisy , due to a party drinking heavily on adjacent table and shouting and joking loudly ...not the Restaurant's fault ¹

We ate here for the joint birthday of my son and daughter, a regular get together every September. We were shown to a lovely table for 6 and I have to say it was one of the nicest evenings we have had. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and very attentive throughout our visit. Food was amazing, we had a variety of meal choices and they all looked and tasted great. Will definitely pay a return visit.

Average food at a fairly high price - no surprise there. Ordered two steaks 'medium rare' - and one was 'really rare'. Forgivable mistake if you're busy - but the place was empty. Better steak houses/offers elsewhere. Worst part? You have to walk past the excellent local fish and chip shop to get to the steakhouse - the smell was amazing and made us wish we'd gone with fish and chips!

I booked a table for 6 for my 60th Birthday as out of all the restaurants id visited over the years there was no where else id rather be for a milestone birthday than back at the Steak Restaurant in Hatch End. And once again this place didnt dissapoint. It was a Saturday so there was two sittings. we booked for the later 8.30 and when we arrived the place was packed as always. A warm welcome and straight to our table and drinks ordered. Previously on my last visit i ordered the rib eye 350 thick cut which was excellent. This time i wanted to go one up and ordered the Wagyu 350 rib eye. Maybe double the price of the previous but what a choice. This steak was beyond words the nicest steak id ever had and that was compared to Vegas where a steak was $300 and not a patch on this one. The rest of my friends had various other steaks or fish and all said one of the best meals they had ever had. Staff were all very friendly and even though very busy always had time to stop and chat. Overall an Excellent night was had by all.

I was taken here for my birthday dinner by my wife and could not fault it! The staff were friendly and attentive! The food was spot on! The starters tasted amazing!! The steak was by far the juiciest steak I have ever had! I will definately be going back again!!

A really pleasant experience eating here. I have driven past here and eaten in many places nearby but never noticed this place before, but Im so glad we have discovered it. The food is very good, 500g thick cut sirloin cooked to absolute perfection (medium rare). As was my wifes and my daughters steaks, they had the thick cut rib eye meduim rare too, my son had the burger which he really enjoyed. Side dishes included triple cooked chips, mac & cheese, ceasre salad with big shavings of parmesan, all really well presented and very tasty. The starters where very good too, I had the prawn coctail, my son had the buffalo wings, soup and fish where also ordered and everyone enjoyed them. Quite a small restaurant in comparison to most, though still nice inside (traditional) clean, and with comfy seating and nicely set tables. Being a small resaurant I think is the trick to their success as the chefs are not overwhelmed with too many orders at once and manage to get it perfectly right. Our bill with food and a few rounds of soft drinks and one red wine came to around £250.00 with service charge included(£28 service charge). The service charge is optional, and though Im not one to agree with a service charge for a party of only four, but the food was exceptional and the service was very good and very attentive, so in my mind it was deserving. I would have left a generous tip in any case as we enjoyed it so much, so it made sense to pay the service charge. I would encourage anyone that enjoys their steak to give this place a try.

Great food and service. However, for the lunch menu they whack on a £3 supplement for a steak AND a £2 supplement for peppercorn sauce. I've never seen or heard of anywhere that charges you extra for having a sauce with your steak, how else would you have it? Bit cheeky to add on so many supplements when you advertise a lunch menu at a significantly lower price. Felt slightly deceived and not sure I would return based on this.

I’m from Melbourne, Australia, my cousin treated me to a delightful dining experience at The Steak House during my holiday in the UK. Their Steaks were simply outstanding, quality of meat was excellent and was cooked to perfection. The service was great and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fantastic steakhouse. Also, they have the best chick cut chips along with Mac & cheese, house made sauces and you should try their sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was amazing!!!

Hands down the best steak experience. I've been to a few steak places. But to enjoy a great ribeye, you don't need to shell out 100s. I love this place. We celebrate each of our birthdays here because the service is amazing, quality is top notch and we leave happier than when we came in. Thank you so much for providing the best 👌

I really enjoyed my thick cut steak, I feel that it's a bit expensive and service is a little slow. I would go again but would need to save up. Service charge is automatically put on top so no need to tip.

Nice surprise of a restaurant. Was walking in hatch end and. Found this and there lunch special. Well to my surprise the food was top notch. The service was fast and friendly. Had chicken sausage starter which just hit the spot. My main was the ribeye burger which was cooked just right. Had a Mac and cheese on the side which was very cheesy but could have done with some seasoning. My partner had the chicken Caesar salad which she enjoyed. All in all a nice experience.

Got my beef medium well, came out to be exactly how I wanted it to be. Loved the veg & yorkie. Only let down for me was the roasted potatoes, was too dry.

Got the Beef roast which was succulent and tender only let down was the potatoes weren’t up to scratch.

Great lunch today. I had a sirloin steak with frites and very reasonably priced 12.95 plus £3 steak supplement. Great flavour all served really efficiently and supper friendly staff.

The lunch was delicious I can’t fault anything, I had the piri piri chicken sausages to begin with and the sea bass for main. highly recommend

I am not a steak house fan as I don't eat red meat. I was pleasantly surprised to find seared tuna on the menu

Very disappointing. After seeing some good reviews and hearing good things, I was looking forward to this with my friends. The service I found ‘okay’ - not the most attentive or enthusiastic. Two of us had the tempura pacific shrimp as a starter - these were suspiciously hot. I think even straight out the fryer it would be hard for them to be that hot if you catch my drift! They were bland, the ponzu dipping sauce they came with was no better. The batter was not what I would call tempura, it was much thicker more like a general batter. Honestly you could get much better tempura prawns at the frozen section in Costco and that’s not an exaggeration! One other friend had the peri chicken sausages which he remarked were like a cheap microwave meal. My other friend had the baby back ribs which weren’t much better. We ordered wine with our main and as most of us were having red meat, we opted for a bottle of red. This was far too warm. I understand red should be ambient temperature but when the weather is like it is, some caution should be taken to ensure it stays drinkable, and not tepid! The mains - one friend had the sirloin well done -so his own fault that his steak was ruined!! but his sides were of poor quality. Another friend had the salmon which was not very warm and the teriyaki sauce was not like a teriyaki sauce I’d ever seen, there was far too much and apparently not nice. Another friend had the lamb cutlets. For the price, they looked tiny to me. They were overcooked as he’d requested them medium and they were not the slightest bit pink at all. He was happy enough as he said they tasted nice but I personally would not have been happy. Again the mash he got with his main was poor quality. It was quite grey and not what you’d want in a restaurant to be quite honest. It looked more like low quality pub food. Myself - considering this was a belated meal for my birthday - I had already decided to treat myself to a ribeye. There are 3 on the menu - a standard 225g size and two ‘thick cut’ ones. I went for the smaller thick cut which is 350g (12oz) and for sides I went for broccoli and Mac and cheese. When it arrived, the steak I would say was quite well cooked. It had a decent crust on it, well seasoned and close to the medium-rare I’d asked for, but definitely more medium. My immediate thought before I’d even tasted it however was “there is no way that is a thick cut 350g steak” !! I asked the opinion of my friends and they were unsure. I contemplated asking however I convinced myself I was perhaps incorrect. I wish I hadn’t as the more I ate, the more it became so obvious it was not a 12oz steak! Nowhere near. To me, this was a fairly standard sized ribeye that you could get from a decent supermarket let alone a good butcher. It was not £32 or even £22 worth of steak. It was enjoyable enough and I’d made a note to speak to the waiter when the bill came. As for my sides - the Mac and cheese was much greasier than it needed to be. Yes I know it’s Mac and cheese it’s not health food, but still. Furthermore, it was unbelievably hot so much so that I picked up a piece of the macaroni that fell from the spoon as I was dishing it up and it burnt my finger. Again suspiciously hot and unnecessary. There is having food that is not cold and unpleasant to eat and then there is food that Icarus himself would give a wide berth, and this was that! Whether it had cooked for so long that the flavour had simply been cooked out of it I’m not sure, but it was literally tasteless. As for the broccoli, perhaps I am being slightly pedantic here, but I’d rather expected and hoped for the tenderstem type that is common as a side especially at a steak restaurant, however it was literally just the head of a broccoli with the stem removed. This also felt and tasted to me like the microwaveable type you find in the supermarket. Perfectly fine and convenient if you’ve had a long day at work and need to save time cooking at home. Not at all acceptable at a restaurant I’m afraid. Again, it’s exactly like cheap pub food. If you’re still reading, you’re probably wondering if we complained. Do you know what, it’s a bit of a cop out, but I couldn’t be bothered (I say ‘I’ as I was buying seeng as it was my birthday and a big one at that) ….. such was the list of things I would have moaned about, the fact I couldn’t prove my steak was massively underweight now I’d eaten it (silly me) and the uncaring nature of the staff made me think I’d not achieve much or get a lot if anything taken off our bill. I was having a nice day with mates and I couldn’t be arsed with the negativity. Sometimes it’s better to just get out of there and never go back! At least we told no lies, because we weren’t even asked during or between courses if everything was alright with the food! I don’t think they cared, it felt like they wanted us out which is confusing as we were 4 relatively quiet blokes enjoying a meal. A shame - it didn’t spoil my day as I wouldn’t have let that happen - however with the reviews and assessing the menu and the prices and seeing how it was positioning itself as a restaurant, I excepted far far more. I won’t be returning and I would say if you’ve ever cooked a decent steak meal yourself or even been to a ‘reasonably good’ steak restaurant (not even a renowned top one) you’ll be completely disappointed here. It’s honestly barely better than Wetherspoons food I’m afraid. Sorry!

We went on recommendation for a ‘pre’ Father’s Day treat knowing we should be able to get booked rather that going with the crowds next Sunday on proper Father’s Day! Food was excellent beef was properly rare and soooo tender.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this steak restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant and cozy atmosphere - the perfect setting for a great meal. The service was impeccable throughout the entire meal. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended some delicious appetizers and sides to complement our steaks, and they were all spot-on. Speaking of the steaks, they were simply outstanding. Cooked to perfection, each bite was bursting with flavor and incredibly tender. I opted for the ribeye, and my dining partner chose the filet, and both were cooked exactly as we ordered them. The sides were also exceptional - we particularly enjoyed the truffle fries and the roasted Brussels sprouts. And to top it all off, the dessert was absolutely divine - we shared a decadent chocolate lava cake that was the perfect end to an already amazing meal. Overall, I cannot recommend this steak restaurant highly enough. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was top-notch. If you're looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting, this is the place to go. Five stars all around!

Having been spoilt by the quality of Chicago, NYC and San Antonio, I'm reluctant to try Steak houses in the UK. I'm pleased so say this place is an absolute gem, and look fwd to revisiting next time I'm in town.

Very good atmosphere - attentive but relaxed staff. The drinks we had before ordering were served fast and the Peroni was in a chilled glass - always a good sign. The beef carpaccio starter was simply superb - great flavour, good serving and very well presented. My steak - tederloin rump - was perfectly cooked, tasty and tender with excellent triple cooked fries and a salad. The sea bass was great and a very generous size. Wine v good and not overpriced. All round a lovely evening with great food.
