DO NOT STAY HERE !!!! Currently staying here as my daughter has a cheer comp early down the road ! The rooms are basic, fine. The beds are the worst mattresses I have ever slept on. The walls are paper think ! No sleep at all complained to the guy at the desk who was lovely and went and asked them to quiet down did they…. No ! There’s no staff on as soon as the pub closes so no help later in the evenings ! Honestly the place is dirty and I have stayed in some cheap hotels but let me tell you this was the WORST !!!! Pay the extra it’s not worth it

First time ever walked out before staying. Room was dirty. Bed was very lumpy. Staff unhelpful. Went to local Travelodge instead.

Do not leave the hotel at checkout without getting the room deposit money back. It took me almost two weeks, several phone calls and three emails to finally have my money back. Apparently they can't reverse a card charge (?) and they need your bank account details to issue the refund. The fact is, nobody asks you for any bank account details at check in or check out. One more thing, you'll be charged from the "manager" (?) personal account when you pay the deposit. Reading all the reviews of the people who never got their money back, I'd strongly recommend asking for a receipt. Also ask for some proof or receipt for the parking space if you're going to use it. I haven't got any fine, yet. But again, reading the reviews, I wouldn't be surprised if I got one. It is sad to think that with £50 just a couple of years ago you could book it simple room in a decent place. Not the case anymore.

On arrival I had to walk through the smokers doorway which was horrible. The staff were welcoming, but I was astounded to be asked for a deposit due to people stealing remote controls. The room overlooking a yards full of rubbish was quiet but not as clean as expected. I was travelling alone and wanted to eat in the restaurant, but was told they had no chef even though outside it said home cooked food. I had to walk around looking for somewhere to eat. They did suggest I go to the chippy, but I don’t do takeaway fried food so that was definitely a no go as I would have had to eat it in my room. Also on arrival at around 6.45pm it was full on party night with quite a few drunken people which I found off putting and overwhelming. The quilt had hairs all over it and I did consider leaving and going home, but I had business plans to fulfil. I wouldn’t stay again.

Absoulty shocking place . Never paid my deposit back . Been on the phone and left messages . They said money was not taken but it has and now they won't give it back . Is this how they do business take deposit not given back . I'm taken this further as £50 is a lot of money. We left the room cleaner that what we found it in. Smelt of dog and there were dog barking most of the night.

Loved my stay, loved the staff..

Easy to find and had ample parking when I arrived. Was staying overnight for business. Was a loud evening as a match was going on (on TV) however, when I arrived at room, silence. Peaceful silence. Becky was lovely checking me in and I met some of the other team members that evening. All were lovely. Slept peacefully. Room was clean and simple as was the bathroom. Had easy access to the car park. In the morning, Donna was lovely and accommodating. Overall, clean and quiet rooms with great service. Would stay over again.

Not the best night, rooms as tired as a one legged kickboxer. When I lay on my bed and closed my eyes, it felt like I was at sea.

A great place on a budget. Comfy bed, fab shower and not far from the motorway. Had an overnight stop here to break up a long journey and was very comfortable. The hotel is attached to a busy local pub but was not affected by bar noise and it was busy when we arrived. Don't expect the Ritz as you aren't going to get it for this price. What you do get is a comfortable room with a fab shower and surprisingly some complimentary soap/shampoo which I tried and were good. As per reviews I have seen prior the room did smell of smoke which I can't understand, as a heavy smoker myself I found the entrance a great area as there is a conditioning unit pumping out warm air which made a smoke outside comfortable so come on folks stop smoking in the rooms. The attached pub is a true local and can get a little colourful but for me adds to the experience as I am used to this as a Northener myself. All in I would say it was a pleasure to stay here .

!!BED BUGS IN BED AND FAECES IN TOILET BOWL IN HOTEL ROOM ON ARRIVAL!! I implore anyone NOT to visit this disgustingly filthy hotel. Forced to drive elsewhere to stay the night as there was no way my partner and I were staying overnight knowing we were sleeping among at least 5 bed bugs. Reception wasn't even open to suggest a room change. Tried calling 3 times too but no luck at all. When the manager replied to my facebook message the next day, she promised me a full refund, but I still have not even received my promised refund of almost £100 - £50 of which was a "deposit" that we would supposedly get back in 24h (we visited in September 2023 so over 7 months ago now!). My partner has gone back to the premises 3 times since September to ask for the manager and to ask whether the refund is actually being processed, and not once has he managed to talk to her because she "isn't around" - I thought this was a bit weird? Any other hotel/pub that I've been to has had the manager there most of the time... Four tracked letters, a note left in the manager (Donna)'s pigeon hole, and 3 visits later - still no money back in my account. Staff did not seem happy to be working there at all - seems to mainly be young girls...I wonder why?... Burns on the carpets in the room, walls are paper thin, window blinds were broken; just generally felt incredibly dirty. This hotel does not even deserve a place on any booking website. How can you happily sell a room to a customer when it contains bed bugs, broken items, burns on the carpets and faeces in the toilet? Especially when none of this is mentioned on the website! How dare you treat people in this way :( PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A BUSINESS LIKE THIS. This would have been so much easier if I was just given my refund (or if the rooms were actually at a decent standard of cleanliness in the first place), but I thought I'd come on here and give a review because I really do not want anybody else to experience this, especially in the midst of a cost of living crisis! Bed bugs is a serious issue, and if the toilet hadn't even been cleaned (which should be one of the most important aspects of the room!), it makes you think: what else hasn't been cleaned in the room? PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE MAKING YOUR DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT TO STAY HERE - IT IS NOT JUST ME WHO HAS HAD AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BUSINESS. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews in detail before booking, and will never, ever be doing this again. You are absolutely free to come to your own decision when deciding on whether or not to stay here, but I just thought that I would share my experience because I was, and still am, very unhappy with the service that my partner and I were provided. Shame on you, Donna.

Got a parking ticket despite displaying my disabled parking badge.. spent ages looking for any signs..none... and then spent 3 hours in the pub at a hen night... I am not parking on the road as it looks bloody rough and I need to park close and I have a new car!

Let down by previous booking 30mins before we arrived. Found this place last minute, wasn’t sure what to expect with some of the reviews. Staff were welcoming on arrival, room is basic but tidy, our headboard broke but was fixed immediately on reporting. We were in the bar most nights during our stay and food was nice, staff again very pleasant and welcoming. We were happy and would consider using this place again next year at Crufts time.

Station inn, I enjoyed my stay! Staff very welcoming, friendly and kind! Rooms cosy and clean, no noise pollution! Location for me was perfect, Shops, transportation. car park very easy access! I would definitely stay again. Very happy customer 😊

Absolutley fantastic place, always good vibes. Entertainment every weekend always a good place too be. Friendly, clean and top banter......be mad too miss out on this little gem.

Donna (a woman that works there is INCREDIBLY rude).

We stayed here to go to the Campervan show at the NEC. The plan was to cycle there but the storm warnings meant we had to rethink last min as the cycle paths were flooded. We had read some really negative reviews on other sites but I would say these were unfair. Room was basic but nice. Very decent for the price we paid. The staff were lovely, food and drinks and atmosphere in the bar was great, very welcoming despite it being a local area pub. Being so close to the train station was ideal for access to Birmingham (6 mins) and NEC ( 8 mins) . A few little local shops and take aways nearby and a short walk or drive to Tesco and macdonalds if you want something familiar. Overall we had a fantastic time and would stay there again.

Its ok for a quick one night stay. Was clean enough for us. Fresh towels and toiletries were provided. We had a double and a single bed, my baby, 4 months old, so didnt use the single bed, she used her carry cot, there was more than enough space for it..... however the hotel need to check their matresses, that single bed matress had its springs broken, there is no way anyone can sleep on it, the entire matress was sunken down in the middle. The double bed was fine.
