A true little gem of a place. Food is consistently wonderful, very keenly priced and a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are filled with great dishes. Special mention to the breakfast - those homemade baked beans are something else!

A gem in Garforth; excellent food and service!

Not happy that I've had to put this review on here !!! I have been to this restaurant many time with family and friends and have always recommended it .... but last night I went with my dear friend and ordered the mushroom tagliatelle (which I have had many times before) This arrived bubbling hot and would have burnt my mouth if I attempted to try it , I asked the waiter to transfer it to a plate! It was swimming in oil too . When I mentioned it to the waiter his reply from the chef was the cream had split due to the heat !!!!!! (So it had been cooked at a too higher temperature) We paid the bill plus the 10% service charge!!! and left. I would have a least expected a replacement dish or it taken off the bill. It's so disappointing when you find a little gem ! To have one bad experience

Great food and atmosphere. We visited 4.00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. Accessible to dine with a wheelchair. Amy was a lovely friendly waitress. We love it here and the food is fab! Try a Lemoncello spritzer…….devine 😊

Lovely meal served by plesent staff. The pork was cooked just right and a large poition as well. All 9 of us were happy with the dishes we chose.

Drove for over an hour to go to Station House seeing website said open until 12.00. Wanted to eat and see if suitable for a couple of upcoming local group functions. Had trouble parking with some ongoing building work, when we got to door was told they stopped serving at 11:30 - it was 11:32! So can’t assess the food, they won’t get our group bookings but don’t seem to care about customers!!

This restaurant is very popular but also very small but finally managed to book. It was well worth it. I attended with a group of friends and we all ordered different starters and mains - all were pronounced excellent. The food was cooked to perfection and the portions generous. The ambience is lovely - the small space quirkily decorated with lots of twinkly lights. The staff are polite pleasant and efficient.

Always a pleasure, so lucky to have such a fantastic welcoming restaurant right on our doorstep. Food always excellent, service on point and attentive. Highly recommended.

Visited this lovely little restaurant with three family members May 24. The food was tasty, desserts yummy. Waiting staff were really friendly and pleasant. Only negative was the 10% service charge added to an already largish bill, although this was optionaI. I prefer to leave my own tip which I did.

Came here for my birthday and it was brilliant. Absolutely delicious food, really nice staff, all round great meal. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced, will be back! Garlic mushrooms recommend

The best meal out I've had in a very long time! The service is just superb, super lovely, friendly staff and a proper family vibe. If possible, the food is even better, amazing portions and quality, left feeling very happy. Great price as well! This place is banging!!!

Managed to get a lunch visit in after many recommendations. It was absolutely spot on. Waitress was personable, friendly and helpful. Food was everything we hoped for. It was a midweek lunchtime so quiet and we weren’t rushed. Lovely!

fab Italian, little gem of a place.

Got a last minute booking on a Friday night for my friend and me. So helpful and accommodating when I phoned to book. The food and service were exceptional, lovely ambience and an overall fabulous place. Truly a hidden gem!

I only stopped for coffee whilst waiting for a train, but it was certainly worth it. The menu looked lovely, and people were coming in for breakfast so I will definitely be back!!

Lovely authentic Italian bistro just like what you get in Italy ! 🇮🇹 really enjoyed our visit tonight. Pizzas were delicious and lasagna too. We tried the mousse and brownie and gelato is really good for desserts!

What a gem! Came for a light lunch and enoyed a fabulous frittata and salad and delicious lemon desert. Staff really great and very cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit and took some friends to this lovely quirky bistro. The service was really good, but oh my! the food was absolutely delicious. An extremely generous antipasti to share for 4, followed by beef and suckling pig. Beautiful puddings all rounded off with coffee. In the higher range cost wise but well worth it.

We booked Station House for a birthday party for 17. The food was excellent, and everyone had a lovely time, especially our lactose intolerant (sometimes fussy!) 70 year old who was celebrating her birthday. ! It's a gem of a place and we cannot recommend highly enough.

I have a meal here once or twice a month for work and the staff/food is exemplary. I get the mozzarella and tomato ciabatta and it's super delicious. My colleague has a gluten free option which is always outstanding with a big side portion of rosemary potatoes. The owners always come and say hello and make us feel incredibly welcome. There's indoor seating and a lovely garden too

Went to this restaurant with a friend who had been twice before. I will definately go back. The food is amazing and the owners and staff create a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We love going to the Station House and we always receive such a warm welcome from Joanne, Luigi and their lovely team. The decor is really cosy and there's something to look at everywhere. The food is always absolutely fabulous and our meals last night were no exception. The Porchetta was just incredible but everything we ordered between the 7 of us was delicious. We'll be back again and again (even if it's sometimes just a coffee as we're passing!)

Been to this bistro twice now,many more to come. On both times the food was excellent,absolutely just what we needed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and did their utmost to cater for us. The bistro is cozy and clean and as authentic as you can get,in its setting of a Victorian station house. We look forward to visiting many more times and working our way through their whole menu.

Took my other half out for a meal at the Station House cafe in Garforth tonight. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was very warming. We will definitely be back again.

We went as a group of 10 for a Christmas get together, the service was excellent even though they were very busy we never once felt ignored . The food was amazing ….I can recommend this restaurant and will definitely going again .Personally I recommend the Salmon starter and the Turkey as a main delicious.Thankyou to all working today your the best .

Late November Saturday lunchtime for a big family 90th birthday celebration. I'd tried to book for the evening but left it too late. Turned out for the best as we had a great rolling lunch (we were here 3 hours) and then back to ours for a nibbles party into the evening. Even though we're not Italian it felt like one of those big family celebrations you see in films. Fourteen of us with ages ranging from 3 to 90 and everyone had a great time. We'd pre-ordered everything so there was no mucking about with menus. Some had starters, some had dessert and all had mains & sides. All agreed the food was perfect and the portions were large. Can't go into details about individual dishes as we had almost all the menu between us, and the picky eaters, vegetarians, piscatarians and carnivours were all well catared for. Some hadn't pre-ordered dessert but when it came time and extras were found room for it was no problem for the kitchen (my 3 year old granddaughter though the choccy ice cream was "the best"). Drinks, including table water, wine, beer and soft drinks, were ordered on the day as we went. Service was good, if a little slow at times, although with fourteen people all wanting to eat at once we forgave them. Fourteen was about the limit for the ground floor back room (the one nearest the platform) and squeezing out for the toilet called fro some creative table manoeuvres. All in all it was a great birthday lunch and I'd recommend it if you have a largish party.

Getting off the train at Garforth tonight to be met by the fantastic smell of food on the platform. We went into the Bistro and were surprised by the delightful set-up inside. We asked if we could have a takeaway Garlic Bread with tomato and, in spite of the fact that all the tables were taken, we were made welcome, invited to sit in the heated ‘Secret Garden’ and given a menu, on request, to look at. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the Garlic Bread the best we have ever tasted. We will certainly be going soon for a sit-in meal.

Finally managed to try this place and the food lived up to the hype. The food is excellent and we will be back to try more. The reason for only 4 stars is due to a few issues, which I’m sure could be improved on. First point was there aren’t any 0% beers. They do advertise an alcohol free beer, but it’s actually Lucky Saint, which isn’t alcohol free and contains 0.5%. In this day and age, I think it’s pretty poor not to have a genuine 0% beer. I’d recommend the Peroni and Guinness 0% if you happen to read this review. The second issue was that as a table of 4, for each course they would bring 3 meals out and then there seems to be at a 3 minute wait until the 4th meal arrived. In each occasion, it then meant x3 people had to sit with their food going cold until the final plate was served. The Burrata was really nice albeit it x2 of us ordered it and yet the portion sizes were very different on each plate. Minor issues, but they did spoil what was nice food. We will go back and hopefully I can give it 5 stars, because it’s what the food deserves.

Disappointing. Food was average, (not hot, too much oil) service poor, starters were not served together, but over a period of 10 minutes and only 4 ordered, even worse were deserts, where 2 were served, 5 minutes later 1 more, then another 5-10minutes later). We had been previously and felt it was one of the best Italian we had been to. Doubt we will return.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service

What a great restaurant. The food is delicious, the place is delightful with private rooms upstairs if your group wants an intimate setting. The owners are lovely people and you can tell they really want you to enjoy the food and experience. Can't wait to go back to try more dishes on the menu!

Great meal again here with my wife, daughter and mother-in-law. My daughter is lactose intollerant, but all we did was mention this before ordering and everything was adjusted for her. This is a gem of a restaurant just off the station platform on the Leeds/York...

We came here beginning of July and had a lovely evening so recommended to friends. What a big mistake. Service tonight was abysmal. Staff didn't have a clue what they were doing or how to wait on tables. They were very young and in experienced....

Great hidden gem. We've been a couple times last year for both breakfast and dinner and finally got around to visiting again for breakfast. Their version of full english is one of the best I've had. Good quality bacon, proper sausages, fresh eggs and even the beans, which I normally dont bother with, are amazing being homemade and slightly spicy. They also do great pastries and coffee. It's a shame we don't live closer so we could visit more often.

Went here yesterday after hearing good things about it, such an amazing atmosphere and so different to what I expected. The food was amazing and would highly recommend the pork porcetta main, the sauce that came with it was amazing but sadly they wouldn’t share the recipe haha.

On station independent cafe... made us a pizza and a coffee in 10 mins whilst we awaited our connection... delicious and completely unexpected... worth travelling to garforth for... fantastic people fantastic place. We waited in a delightful undercover indoor secret garden as it was raining

I am not an expert on Italian food but I can fresh ingredients in food. Boy do they use fresh. We had an outstanding meal for an acceptable price. King prawn linguine with real king prawns. Good spicy sauce with just right linguine. 13.95 Nonnas...

We had a fantastic meal with friends at The Station House on Friday and it is just that…a little house converted into a restaurant on the side of Garforth train station. It is so quirky and nicely decorated. We were in a small room upstairs...

I like the source and topping of the pizza. reasonable price however the crust can be better. Probably needs to be rise the dough more.

Couldn't fault the service. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 meals were very salty. We were seated upstairs with just one table for 4 people. No atmosphere whatsoever.

I was brought here as a surprise for my birthday lunch and we throughly enjoyed it , I can really recommend. The staff are attentive and friendly making you feel at home . Not only was the food and ambiance good I also got a special birthday present, very kind and much appreciated. We will definitely return..

Visited recently and as it was relatively early we only had coffee but it was delicious, They also had a good range of cakes.

Went here whilst visiting friends in the area. Absolutely delicious food. The mushrooms with toast were the best I have ever had! And my ravioli was superb. Beautifully cooked food in true Italian style. Not one to be missed!

This is the second time I have celebrated my birthday by having breakfast at the Station at Garforth. The atmosphere is splendid, food is delightful and service is wonderful. I am already looking forward to and planning my next visit.

Said I hadn't left a message when I left two. And very rude when they called me back eventually. If that is the attitude of their staff, then I certainly don't want to eat there.
