The Station Coffee Shop in Stirling

Needed to kill an hour in Aberfoyle and what better way then a mid morning coffee and sausage roll. I needed a dog friendly and Internet provided cafe, the former seeming in short supply in this town. Station Cafe fitted the bill and , although only some seats are 'dog friendly', I can see why: others would have the pooch impeding servers. You can order via the QR code, but would have been helpful to add the server is the BT Net site, not 'Station Cafe.' Obviously the lorne sausage is home made and exactly fits the bap - nicely done in a toasted bun. Coffee not so good: I asked for a large two-shot, but I think it's a one size fits all and the small cup contained weak and quite bitter coffee.

One of the nicest lattes I have ever had. Service was really good, great atmosphere and the selection of baking was also great.

Stopped in on the off chance to get some breakfast on a Monday morning. The bacon butties were brill and they came out very fast as did the coffees! The dog friendly tables were a nice touch too. Well worth a visit if you’re in Aberfoyle

This warm and friendly place offers one of the best quality soups and sandwiches. Tasty, fresh, well prepared as if you were eating at your old aunt’s house.

We stopped at the station cafe following a walk and we very much enjoyed it!!! I loved looking around the little gift shop, followed by a lovely coffee and a delicious array of cakes. Just what we needed on a rainy day in Aberfoyle.

Just had lunch here on a miserable rainy day when I was feeling a bit down and I have to say the food and the atmosphere really cheered me up! Warm, welcoming setting with plenty of room. Free WiFi and lovely staff. Seemed like quite a few locals in too which is always nice. I had the cheeseburger and fries which really hit the spot. Tasty relish and crunchy onions on the burger were fab and the delicious melted cheese. Highly recommend

Stopped in Aberfoyle on the way to loch katrine with our campervan. Came across this place. Fantastic food and coffee. Probably the best toastie I’ve had in a long time! Must try the side of onion. Reasonable too, £17 for 2 toasties and two cappuccino!

Welcoming cafe where we had cheese burger with fries and soup of the day. Both were delicious. My chai latte was a little disappointing (not hot and mostly froth).

Lovely cup of coffee with a lemon cannoli, staff always very helpful and cheerful. I have visited often and always love it there for a coffee or lunch.

Fabulous biscoff tray bake and tea! Dog friendly place too with thoughtful touches inside and outside. Thank you for the snacks

What a lovely wee place to sit and have a coffee with friends or even solo. Lovely cakes, great coffee, oh loved the haggis toastie! 100% dog friendly with certain seating inside and also outdoor seating looking into the high street! Staff are so friendly and welcoming! Love it here! X

Great cafe after a hike. We came here after a hike with the kids and it was delightful. Loved that the table we picked had pac man and it kept the kids entertained. We had the speciality chips and soup which was lovely!

I visited the Station Coffee shop in Aberfoyle yesterday with family as we had previously been in October. The menu showed one size of latte at £3.30 and I asked for two. My sister ordered after me and asked for a large latte not realising they only offered one size. My two arrived at the table in very small blue cups, more usually a cappuccino or flat white size, not what I had remembered. Then my sister's one came in a larger white cup, as we had had last year, and she also paid £3.30. The girl at the counter didn't get why I was asking how for the same price we had very different sizes of cup. I would have loved a larger coffee. She just kept saying you didn't ask for a white cup, you didn't ask for large. My two coffees could have just about fitted in the white cup. Not good. Will I be back? No I doubt it.

What a great surprise it was to find a treasure such as this - a coffee shop which allow dogs inside. We had my small dog with us, and were expecting to have to eat outside, but there were 4 tables inside which were dog friendly. We had a lovely lunch - soup and a toastie, and their custard creams were to die for. There was another 2 tables besides us, which had their dog with them, all very well behaved I must say. What a pleasant experience being able to have a sit down lunch with your dog beside you. The staff were very friendly too. I’m hoping I’ll be back in Aberfoyle again some day, and I would definitely return to the station to eat. Thank you for a lovely day.

This is a fairly good cafe as cafés go. The food was good, reasonably priced with a decent choice of coffees, cakes and scones etc. It is wheelchair ♿️ friendly, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the decor is very good and the toilets are very good also. It is on the main road and there is plenty of parking in the main car park. It is also dog friendly, however, I don't think that allowing the dogs on the table top was very healthy and safety compliant. The dog could have walked through anything and this should be considered by the staff. Also, good owners should know better than allow their pets on the tables and chairs.

Always drop in to The Station Coffee shop anytime we're in Aberfoyle, friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, the food is great served in comfortable surroundings 😀👍

'The Station' coffee shop is a regular occurence when myself and my wife visit Aberfoyle (most weekends) to do some cycling on the Gravelfoyle trails. Everytime we have been the food and standards have been consistently high. The ambience of the cafe inside (or out) - along with the food - is the reason we keep coming back. Yes we have tried the others in Aberfoyle. However withour a doubt The Station is our favourite. Well worth a visit if you are staying or passing through Aberfoyle. Well recommended. Oh and if your after an awesome dessert - the caramel covered apple pie (warm) is 'to die for'!!

We loved this cafe !!! Good service, the setting is spotlessly clean and spacious. We had the loaded Mac n Cheese Fries, it was delicious 😋!!!! The coffee is excellent too.

We stopped here while passing through Aberfoyle recently for a quick drink and bite to eat. Looking for a small snack we decided to order a portion of loaded Mac 'n Cheese Fries to share, a coffee and tea then a cannoli each to finish. The tea was a really nice and flavourful loose leaf tea and the coffee was freshly made (and made well, no automatic coffee machine here) using their own roasted coffee. The Mac 'n Cheese fries topped with crispy onions were quite possibly the nicest we have ever had when eating out. The taste, consistency and freshness were all spot-on. They were the perfect portion size to share between two (as a snack or side) or as a main meal for one. The cannolis were standard but pleasant all the same and a nice way to end our visit. Overall; a love place to visit with good food, fresh hot drinks and a nice atmosphere. It is also dog friendly and welcomes walkers.

Vegan Rocky Road! What's not to like with a strong coffee and good cup of tea with vegan red current and banana slice. Free WiFi. Nice little refresher cafe.

Very friendly! Fab relaxed atmosphere,We visited for breakfast, and the food was amazing. Very quick service, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The old pub game tables were such a blast from the past! All staff we came into contact with were lovely. Egg and cheese baps are divine! Please make sure you visit and support.

Outstanding coffee and food…. Do you know that feeling when you’re on holiday and your coffee experience sucks and you really hope the next place has decent coffee? Just come here! My family of 4, two kids 3 and 7 had a lovely experience here. Drawing stuff for kids. Everything done with QR codes at table to,save queues and maximise space. Perfect! Cashless and excellent experience - up to date and efficient - clean and well designed. Dog friendly, kid/baby friendly, family friendly… SUPERB coffee. Absolutely lovely staff. Totally recommend and so glad we found this place - we will be back … and OFTEN ! Thank you.

We’re local and used to come here a couple of times a week. Also we’d often shop here for gifts… but sadly they’ve gone cashless so we won’t be back. Hopefully common sense will prevail & with a tiny bit of critical thinking the owners will realise that going cashless does not in any way help save the planet. If they start accepting cash again we’ll be back. Until then, we’ve discovered Liz MacGregors along the road do amazing coffee, cakes and hot food (& accept cash).

Food was fine but we were largely ignored by staff and no welcome or acknowledgment when we left . Plenty competition in town , so will go somewhere else next time

Went here for some lunch after hill walking. Was dissapointed to find there was no hot food left at 14.15. Looked nice inside but obviously poorly managed. Ended up in the Wool centre. At least they have hot food!!!
