After a great family walk in Bushy Park, we stopped by for a beer at The Star Pub, to highlight the cleanliness of this place! Also a lovely atmosphere and an amazing beer garden. Definitely recommended 👌 and we will certainly return.

Manager and staff very accommodating,always make me and my family very welcome.

Large outdoor area to right of the pub with table service. Real ale available with the other usual beers. Good work on checking in under current rules for covid. Felt very comfortable and I thought the table service was quick and efficient. On bus routes R68, R70, 285 so no need to take the car. Nearest station is Fulwell but this is about 0.75 mile walk.

Seen the other reviews made me think why shoul I not do it... whent for a couple of drinks the way I have been treated from the management and bar staff was unbelievable, no respect for costumers seems to be all about money whi spends more gets the better services .. was supposed to be a lovely afternoon with my friends and family but I would not recommend ever to anyone if I knew how terrible it is I would stayed at home and bought our drinks from a supermarket what in this case would be more sociable. Spend money somewhere else is not a problem the star pub is a wast of time.

This is a comment about PJ and Mary from the Star pub Hampton Hill I do not recommend it due to the rudeness of the staff and the management of this pub they treat the customers very rudely as a please I have been asked to leave due to a situation when I was just asking for the name of the barmaid what was servan us at our table my colleague that was with me and witnessed everything PJ became very aggressive towards me and asked me to leave the pub due to what I asked the person's name but I have witness the rudeness from PJ and Mary many times before. I should have learnt my first time around to never go back but there's a couple of people there I get on well with in that place but now I will meet them Elsewhere.

The most rude, arrogant and obnoxious manager and staff I have ever met - no idea how to speak to customers and seriously could not believe the way we were spoken to absolutely no respect, ask to move tables as we were by the marque entrance, as it was freezing cold ,was not allowed to use the heaters as apparently someone had tripped electrical wiring by turning on and off and rerfused to allow us to move but others were with out any question, discrimanation, stongly avoid this place unless you want to be spoken to like a piece of s—t . Don't want to add any stars bit won't post with out it

Does what a pub does. With nothing to make me return...Staff were nice though. Just not the atmosphere I'm looking for (all other patrons were solo older white men drinking alone).

Sadly, we had quite a terrible experience here. Bar staff were incredibly rude. We really appreciate the diligent work around COVID restrictions and understand how hard it must be the navigate the new requirements but unfortunately, the poor communication and aggressive behaviour we experienced from the staff was quite upsetting, our child walked about a metre away from the table (as children do and nowhere near any other punters) and she was met with an aggressive “no children on the floor” rant from 1 member of staff (with no prior communication of this rule), we actually weren’t quite sure what this meant but wasn’t able to get any clarity when we tried to question. We abruptly left after this without finishing our drinks. We are more than appreciative of the rules but the way this was communicated was completely inappropriate. Will obviously not be back here, COVID or not, and wouldn’t recommend for families.

Go for a lovely walk in Bushy Park and then call in for a nice relaxing drink in the garden of the Star which is right next to the park. Highly recommended! Sláinte!

A lovely venue with sensible polite staff who deal with the problems of social distancing really well. The London Pride was great. The garden is tidy and well laid out. A great place.

Got the covid 19 down to a tee with service in the pub

absolutely horrible customer service rude and breached dater protection. Will be reporting the lady to the brewery come Monday. Wouldn't recommend

Very friendly place. Great host. Good range of beer. Immaculately clean.

Proper pub for pint, pork-scratchings and sport. Full of regulars who'll have banter with you, especially if the football is on. Outside grassy seating area for when the sun is out. Nice for after a long walk in Bushy Park.

All the sports shown and a lot of PPV boxing but do check before as not all ppv boxing. Nice landlord and landlady nice old school pub feel, I keep going back and always enjoy it.

Traditional man's pub. Somewhere you can reliably turn up and have a discussion at the bar whilst waiting for your fish and chips from over the road at the Carp & Trout
