The Star in Harrow

I went here last year for a mate's party on a Saturday night & I was lucky to find a table as it was very busy. The food was alright but not cheap comparing to other places plus I had a pint of Guinness & I think that was about £5.50 & that was expensive , I am glad I went to Weatherspoons before hand for a few drinks with a mate as this place is not cheap for their drinks. If I go again I probably do the same thing have a few drinks at Weatherspoons or at home so by the time I get to this pub I wont need to get buy many pints & just enjoy a meal.

Very lovely luncheon with my dad. Food portions were impressive. Sunday roast and all the trimmings was yum Very welcoming to our little pup too

The Star is a friendly, clean and well decorated pub. The service and food is always excellent and there are plenty of screens for those wanting to watch sport. In the evenings, there is often entertainment. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic all round. I’ve been all over the world but when I come back to London I always come to The Star. They remember me, remember my drinks and look after me!!! The wings are amazing and the baby Guinness rocks!!!! Lola is a stunner

The food was amazing. The last steak dinner I had from there was absolutely perfect. The peppercorn sauce was the best I've had. They play an eclectic variety of music which I really enjoyed, especially in the beer garden. The staff are kind, helpful and informative on dishes/drinks/deals and they have always been nice and accommodating to me. Even given the rare time where there may be a complaint, they take it head on and do what they can to resolve any issues. They are also family and dog friendly. They have events on and I've always enjoyed everything I've attended; especially the open mic karaoke. There's also a pool table that I've enjoyed alot. Sometimes it's quiet but there's always a positive atmosphere and I couldn't recommend this place more.

Keegan was such a helpful and accommodating server, helped with choosing the perfect pint and was very knowledgeable about the drinks they serve as well.

Am overall excellent experience, great atmosphere, and even better food. I have lived locally for 20 years but have only been coming to this pub for just the last year or so after its refurb and it's been excellent every time.

Monday to Wednesday have the best deal ever as £12.99 two course meal is magic with the best garlic and stilton mushrooms starter and amazing bangers and mash which is full of flavour.

Always having great time there! Nice atmosphere and super cool bands on Friday nights! Last night there was another band playing rock/indie music it was just honey to my soul. I do recomand it! :)

Me and my partner had a burger each and they were so good! I'm not in London very often but I'll definitely come here each time I'm back!! Staff were friendly and helped me pick a drink I'd like.

Great spot next to the station, garden is huge and has good tunes, the staff are all young happy nice fun people ! Love it. Great energy. Makes you forgot you are in South Harrow ! Ha look forward to coming back , good looked great

Pretty place for family and friends 🧡 Clean and neat

A super modern pub next to South Harrow underground station. Quiet on my visit, perhaps because Mr Google thinks it doesn't open till 10pm at the weekends. Plenty of keg beers and two cask ales for the real ale drinkers. There is a pool table here and many flat screens for showing sport. A great place for a pint.

The manager I think his name is Anton reminds me of the old days. When managers would come out, talk to their punters, engage with them, instead of being absent, I was sitting down watching the football when he asked me if I wanted the volume up, I said it was fine, but the fact he took notice is a credit to him. I have been here before and he displays the same attentive attitude to everyone, so take a bow

Never been to The Star beforehand, it’s very near South Harrow underground station. The food was delicious and the bar staff were very helpful and attentive. Good selection of menu choices.

Amazing southern fried chicken. Tastes exactly how you’d want it to. Very nice staff, dog friendly. Lovely atmosphere, they even had live irish dancing☘️☘️☘️!!!

Very disappointing. Offers advertised 2 meals for £11.95 on Facebook page not available. Burger & any drink for £1 extra very limited selection when you get to the bar to order. Eventually ordered Hunters chicken burger and fries what came was nothing like the picture. See the pics below from Facebook page compared to what came. Staff untrained not their fault. Management sort things out please. Shan’t be coming back …

I had a lovely Mother’s Day set meal at the Star with my mum today - really good service and nice food. The 3 course meal was fantastic value. A few of our drinks took a while to arrive but otherwise very speedy. Skye was friendly and helpful

Great food, service and atmosphere

We came in for Sunday lunch on 3rd March. The Sunday Roast is so good can compare to one by the countryside and such a good price! We were served by Sky she is so helpful, friendly and smiling away! Would definitely recommend to anyone we seem to be here most weeks at the moment and back on Mother's Day! Thanks Sky for being so hospitable. See you all soon.

Very nice pub! Screens for football, nice music in the background, clean, warm and peaceful. Close to the station too, which could be an advantage for people visiting the area. Thanks guys!

Haven’t been to the star in a number of years, was surprised as to its improvement. Food was great and the service attentive. Skye served us and everything was perfect.

Love the staff and the atmosphere was OK. Unfortunately the food was below average.

Ordered a medium steak. It came as blue as can be. When I pointed this out to the waitress nothing was done to remedy the mistake. Went home hungry. Got a reply back from the star telling me to leave a more honest review and that they did rectify the mistake and sent a fresh plate out but I had already left apparently. Sorry to the star. But you did not communicate with me that you were cooking the steak more. Nothing was said. No communication !!!! The steak was rare. I will not argue about that. I have had enough medium steaks to know the difference. So rude to suggest that my review is dishonest. I suggest not arguing with customers. The steak was blue as. I eat half of it as I was embarrassed and was not even going to mention it. My friend suggested I send it back to the bar. At that point you had the opportunity to speak to my friend or come to our table and tell us what you are planing. We initially came with the intentions of having a few rounds. Sorry but telling me to leave a more honest review really does it and that you cooked the steak but we had left by then ? Well we can’t read your mind. You do have to communicate your intentions. The lady didn’t even say sorry. Thank you

This place was fully refurbished 2 years ago to a very high standard.. staff are friendly and appears quite popular Only thing is No parking except up the road at train station

We enjoyed such a lovely a Sunday roast here - the roast potatoes in particular were absolutely delicious! And Skye was wonderful getting our hungry kids fed pronto! Will definitely be returning!

Amazing place!!!! It's near to my house and I'm always here. There is a karaoke night that's awesome!!! The other days there is live music with a nice band and nice people! I just love here!!

Came here with my fiance, and I gotta say we were very impressed!! Firstly, the place looks incredible, very modern yet cosy and welcoming!! Secondly the staff themselves were very friendly, incredibly helpful and did their best to make sure our food was good, and I have to say the food wasn't good.... it was amazing!! Also very good for the price!! Myself and my partner loved our food!! I think that's the first time I've heard her rave about a lasagne, but it did look good!! And lastly, the atmosphere in there was great, and the entertainment was amazing!! The female singer they had was by far one of the best singers I've heard in a long time!! All in all, highly recommended!! We will come again!!

One of the only places I keep coming back to, even if you sit outside, it’s still a vibe, the staff has always been really welcoming and warm. There is always something or the other going on and never a boring atmosphere. The food is really good as well. Nice pub to come on Sunday afternoon, have a nice pint and set your energy right. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to this pub many times and have really enjoyed it on the whole. Most of the staff are great people, the live music is good fun and it is reasonably priced. I do however feel it is important to raise awareness of the fact that the pub owner, a big pale ginger guy, is a bit of a loose cannon and can get quite physically aggressive with customers. Last night I found a pint that had seemingly been abandoned on a table that hadn’t had anyone on it for 20 minutes. I perhaps slightly naively thought there was no harm in having it, after all it didn’t appear to belong to anyone and I had already been there for a few hours having dinner and drinks. I went and sat outside with it and then out of nowhere this big ginger guy who owns the pub came outside, said something about stealing a drink and then threw a pint of Madri in my face and aggressively shattered the glass on the floor beside me! I think in his head he thought he was having a bit of a peaky blinders moment but in reality it was just absurd and very concerning behaviour. Customers and staff who were there were visibly uncomfortable with this quite frankly embarrassing display. I was later made aware that this guy quite often loses the plot like this, which is a real shame because, like I said, I do really like this pub on the whole and most of the staff are really lovely people. I suggest the owner sees a therapist. This isn’t peaky blinders, it’s a pub in South Harrow.

Very impressed with what the owners had done since I was last in there. It was clean the beer was good. Toilets were well maintained and regularly cleaned. The guy that met and served me was warm and welcoming. He introduced me to an offer which saved £’s on drinks and made me feel that my custom was appreciated. I would recommend and would definitely go back

I love this pub! In response to Suganth's review, I struggle to understand how you found discrimated at The Star. I have been coming here for about a year with a few mates and coming from an Indian background, I have never felt discrimated. Infact, its been the opposite. Always welcomed, and have a laugh with the bar staff. I have even experienced other cultured people come to the Star and enjoy their experience, with all the live nights, the food which is just epic and the service is on point! I will keep coming back 😁

This is based on two visits. Especially the second time, felt a bit unwelcome in this place, maybe because we were a group of South Asians. Not an inclusive space!

Firstly, the brunch took 35 minutes and when it arrived some parts was cold. We had five of us and two received the wrong food and o e od the meals were over done. The parts of the food that was missing were add after the initial food was finished. Evenly a manager came out and her attitude had much to be desired. All in all my experience was terrible

Visited a number of times. Keep returning for breakfasts in summer. Sunday roasts great quality and value for money. Dad's dimsum through the week well worth a try. Burgers among the best pub burgers I have had. Staff great!

Definitely best pub in the area! Good selection of foods, including kids menu, reasonably priced. Fantastic selection and quality of cocktails. Loved each and every one! Exeptional and caring management. Quiz night, live performances, Djs. Community place that was very much missed I South Harrow.
