Visited here for friends evening ,had couple of standard burgers very over priced basic food

Nice friendly pub with plenty of outdoor seating to the front and back. Back garden has its own bar & kitchen too. Inside is small and cosy. Currently the car park is taken up with tables & chairs, so parking is on-street or by public car parks in the town. Inside is not recommended for wheelchairs, but there is plenty of accessible space in the rear garden. Plenty of room for kids to run around outside and plenty of space for dogs too. Friendly staff with good range of drinks at good prices.

I’ve been coming to this pub all my life (I’m 47). I use to sit outside with my Mum and Dad. During that time there have only been four tenants. I met the latest on my last visit from London. He’s done more for this venue than any of the others. They were all good but have nothing on the current governor. It’s buzzing and busy most nights with a happy atmosphere, great service, awesome entertainment and a place people can call home. Pubs are a dying industry but this current tenant seriously knows what he’s doing to keep The Stag thriving.

Went on a Saturday night. The service at the bar was very good, but not much atmosphere. Everyone had probably gone into town by then

Fancied somewhere new and tried here for the first time one evening. Very impressed, quite small but cosy. Lots of atmosphere, wooden beams, and a wonderful bar maid, right character. Liked it.

Had our sons wedding here last week. Cracking. Food great! Quantity great! Quality great! Staff great!

Cracking pub situated in kimberley, it has a great atmosphere with quality live music- not too loud but comfortable. Food was cooked to a very high standard with swift and friendly service. We went for the buck burger - We loved it 10/10 We will be regulars , thanks again.

Locals pub. Everybody knows each other but welcoming to anyone. Loads of dogs.

Ordered food from the cabin outside not impressed, had chessey chip with bacon and BBQ sauce chips were undercooked and soggy, parking was horrendous, expensive drinks. Won't be going back

We were there for a private function during the day. The landlord and landlady were perfect hosts and provided a wonderful spread and were exceptional hosts. A lively pub too.

This is a great pub. There's always something going on here, the management and staff are welcoming and have genearted a real air of community here. The range of real ales is always good, I can always find something to suit my pallatte. As I write this the selection is mainly Oakham Ales, one of my favourites.

Asked us if no ice was ok AFTER pouring us a drink. Ordered food and got a reply ‘they are finishing up in next hour, so no point ordering’ - not a great atmosphere on a sunny day with these things missing. Served us gins in wrong type of glass.

Sadly at 6pm tonight we were not able to get our chosen meals as no chicken and no bacon , very disappointed as we had not been before and more than likely not go again .

Called for a drink .It was all the flowers on the front that drew us in .Sat in beer garden which was delightful pots of plants and hanging baskets everywhere .Good quality setting and tables ,large garden with a play area enclosed away from carpark .Large gazebo to shelter from rain .It was a really pleasant place to have a drink

Great local pub really dog friendly and good outside seating at the front and a lovely beer garden at the back. They also have a new outside kitchen that serves very good food. We especially like the Buck Burgers.

Good visit. A few mins to get served, but all good after that. Lively atmosphere. A few loud mouths being too loud but that’s forgivable. All in all, enjoyable

Looks to be a god place, short visit, so have to return. Staff are great, asking if anyone would like refills regularly.

My dog Molly and I spent time here in the back garden when the sun was shining beautifully one Thursday evening. The garden is well kept and looks so lovely. Its great for dogs and families. The pub looks good indoors too. We will return here soon.

It's a friendly traditional pub just outside Kimberley town centre with a log burner and a nice outside area. Never had anything to eat here.

We met Nick at the Cricket Club and he brought us down to look at The Stag as a possible venue for our Wedding reception. He was very helpful and we are hoping that it will work out for July next year..
