The Stables Restaurant in Waverley

Had a table for 8 people booked. We were the only people in the restaurant. Our food was prebooked so they knew what we wanted. Our food came out tepid. Could do better. They have a nice restaurant so such a shame .

We were hoping to have a nice meal with friends and try somewhere new. Right from the outset it was spoiled. While standing at the bar chatting , catching up and ordering drinks we were repeatedly asked to take our seats, like it was an issue we were there.

This restaurant is amazing the staff are very friendly And it's so warm and welcoming The food here is the best for miles They do the most amazing roast dinner Steak night burger night and so much more It's and place you can bring family and friends to and no your going to have a great time

It's not often that a restaurant review starts with praise for a vegetable but this is one such. I had Sunday lunch and went for the roast beef. This came with roast potatoes and other root vegetables, some 'greens' and a good sized Yorkshire pudding. Served on the side were stuffing, extra gravy and a dish of creamed leeks. The whole meal was excellent but the leeks were amazing. (I get the impression the staff fight over the leftovers! )

Visited the restaurant on the side of the white hart pub after being recommended by a colleague... went with my wife and parents on a Saturday night, fairly busy night but the service was fantastic! Our waitress hannah made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and nothing was too much trouble.. food was superb, certainly a welcome change from the usual chain restaurant fare... homemade focaccia and olives while we choose our food was amazing! Highly recommend!

Walking past The White Hart every day, under its changed ownership, I have seen a transformation from a down at heel pub to a pleasant watering hole. Phase 2 saw the daunting black doors of a stable cum garage transformed into a credible looking restaurant. Unfortunately, its presence didn't entice us to try it.

Used this restaurant regularly for family meals of up to 10 people with very different tastes. We have always had excellent food, lovely wines, great service and a great time all representing value for money. The menu changes regularly and I have never had the same dishes twice on our many visits.

Last time we visited we had a sunday lunch, which was excellent, the venue and garden are really good and the food was excellent

we have just had a brilliant Christmas lunch at 'THE STABLES' in cranleigh, and we would like to thank all the staff, for making it such an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, and the waitresses worked very hard to make our time there enjoyable, the atmostphere was lovely, so thank you all for today,.highly recommend the restaurant, regards Marilyn green

My husband and I have walked past this hidden gem many times but after reading the reviews thought we would give it a try. I'm glad we did as the food was delicious! I had the half rack of ribs which were truly amazing and my husband really enjoyed the burger. The service was really efficient and friendly too. Will definitely be returning!

This place is so easy to miss,with a discreet entrance and not much signage outside. So glad we did come across it,the atmosphere,service,menu and food were all excellent. We had a really good evening and will definitely be back. The menu for Sunday lunch looked great.

I can't fault this place one little bit. The decor is excellent, the food outstanding .... best chips I have ever tasted in my life ....staff were so attentive and the prices are not inflated like some places in cranleigh . I will definitely be back!!!

Our first trip to the Stables last night. We had an excellent evening. The food and staff were both tip top and we shall certainly be going again.

First time to this restaurant, reviews looked favourable so we made a reservation. Very impressed indeed. Attentive staff and extensive menu. We had a big group but this was no problem for the kitchen or the servers. Very comfortable seating and good lighting. Would recommend.

We have a very poor experience here about 6 months ago and saw no reason to return .but we ate here tonight as part of a quiz night . The food and service were so so good . Glad to see the deep fryer has been replace with a new chef .the ribs were fabulous

This pub/restaurant has been totally transformed by the current owner, its a great addition to Cranleighs dinning options.The Stables is separate from the pub and is very comfortable and well decorated. Having eaten at the Stables three times I have found the service to be friendly and attentive. There is a good range of ales and lagers, the wine list is good value for money. The food though has ranged from average to good. I am confident it will get better as it gets busier and gains a reputation. I will certainly be going back.

Went to The Stable Bar for the first time last night and was fantastic to find a very welcoming and well laid out restaurant. The staff were very helpful and showed us around the whole establishment and it was an amazing transformation from the pub i remember growing up in the area.

First time to this Resturant for dinner with a group of friend.10 guests in total all ordering from the nicely constructed menu.

I was part of a group of 51 people who had dinner in The Stables. All the meals were pre-ordered at a cost including tip of £27.50p.

So we arrived with my elderly mother on a Saturday evening in January, to a very warm welcome from the owner, who was very solicitous to her. We were shown to a big corner table, all good so far. The first niggle was that we waited a good ten minutes for a drink - that was an oversight as we would probably ordered more during the evening. When they came, the Prosecco was warm and my tonic water didn't come with a slice of lemon - OK just a small thing but it speaks volumes about the standards. Then we wanted something to nibble as we waited for the main course, but gues what? No

Just had the best T bone steak ive had for ages. Great place with great friendly staff. Top pub with great quality beer too. Best pub/restaurant combo in the village by far.

Lovely food, recommend the Moroccan Lamb & Pannacotta. Lovely surroundings. Will definitely be going back soon. Such a nice change from a restaurant chain.

Lovely modern building Fab funny and friendly chef who comes to see how your food is going down. Quiet waiting staff but lovely place
