The Spring Tavern in Epsom and Ewell

Was passing by and popped in for a couple drinks. The place was busy but full of atmosphere and I noticed all of the staff delivered perfect service.

Had an amazing time last night, the sevice was top knotch and the food was to die for, the menu has changed since I've last been which was a lovely surprise. I will definitely be back soon, can't recommend this place enough.

We recently ate here and it was wonderful! The food was delicious. There is quite a variety of food to choose from. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the service from Amie and Luke was fantastic- they are so polite and friendly! Would definitely recommend The Spring Tavern.

Decided to pop in for a roast dinner after the Cinema. Although It was very busy we got lucky with a table available.The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had amazing roasts off the specials board with large portion sizes. Great food,nice atmosphere and good hospitality. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Megan and her team go above and beyond for us everytime we visit. On Friday Georgia looked after us and could not have been any more helpful. Great food, amazing service! Take your children 🥰

I popped in for Sunday lunch - I'd been in for a pint before but this was the first time I've eaten here and I was very impressed. The roast was excellent (I had the beef) and the service was top notch. Compliments to Marian, Vali & Frankie in the kitchen and Harvie, Amie & Oscar front of house. I'll definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Ewell.

Food and service 10/10. Quality ingredients cooked to perfection. I had the pork belly with scallops, comes with dauphinpise potatoes and a lovely jus on the side. All to die for. You also get a nice bit of crackling! Hubby had the prawn and chorizo chilli linguine, he can eat quick, but this went down in minutes! Highly recommend.

We took our Australian relatives here on a couple of occasions and enjoyed both of them over the summer. The pub has a good ambiance both inside and in the garden terrace. The menu is varied and lots of unusual veggie dishes such as banana blossom. Service is friendly and patient and if the staff actually dont enjoy working there, they deserve an Oscar for their acting! A great night out and if you sign up for their mailing list there are regular offers. We had a third off all food on our most recent visit and a 3 coure meal for 3 people with drinks and coffee came to less than £100. So a rare named shout out for waiters Jason and Luke and chefs Valli and Frankie.

Lovely Fathers Day Lunch today Fully booked so lucky to get a table - Its a lovely, warm and friendly Pub/Restaurant and was buzzing today. Great menu at a reasonable price. They are not trying to cash-in on the day like so many but can't deliver. The Spring Tavern sure did deliver!! The young waiting staff were friendly and efficient and the food was great! The decor is lovely and no rush so you can relax and enjoy the day! Well done - We will be back for sure!

Restaurant was very busy and although we had booked we had to ask if someone could seat us after standing waiting for over 10 minutes. Shared the camembert which was delicious & then had the lamb. I had 3 chunks of lamb rump so not overly generous especially when over half of it was fat & gristle so inedible. I left the pieces on my plate and did point this out to the Manager who just said that she couldn't do anything as I should have let her know earlier. An apology & an offer of a free drink, coffee or dessert would have gone a long way towards rectifying this. And would have ensured our future custom. My dog was not unhappy though and was the grateful recipient of the pieces of fat 🐕

2nd time my sister and I have had lunch here in the last couple of months and it was just as good this time round as last. Although we had the added benefit of Holly, the lovely, chatty, bubbly, helpful server today. Food was great. We both had the tempura prawn sandich and coffee afterwards was a very decent one. We'll be back again next month.

We stopped off for lunch and had a great experience, with good food, great service from the man serving us, and will definitely return.

Outstanding roast & exceptional service. We came for dinner on Easter Sunday and from start to finish the experience was fabulous. It exceeded our expectations of a pub restaurant. Very happy that this is our local! Ambience in the restaurant was very enjoyable. Classy decor, nicely spaced tables and clean throughout. From the initial welcome at the door through to paying our bill at the end of our dinner we were served by staff who were polite, helpful and welcoming. They struck the perfect balance of attentive but not intrusive. They also were knowledgeable about the menu and made I feel like more of a restaurant than a pub with dining. They are a credit to the place and are such an asset. We were also appreciative of the recommendation to order the duo of beef roast when we asked for a suggestion as the lamb had (unsurprisingly, as it must be good) run out. So, onto the food… Well, needless to say it was delicious, extremely generous in size and plated very nicely. The veg that accompanied the meat was divine and the bread sauce was the best I’ve had. The beef was top quality and was served exactly as we liked - perfect medium rare. We saw many other plates coming out to other tables of other things like burgers, fish and other roasts. Everything looked equally appetising. We shared a very good bottle of Trebbiano which was reasonably priced and very refreshing. Too full for coffee or desert and when we asked to take the leftover roast home that I was too full to finish, they happily obliged to bring me a takeaway box. I can’t wait to finish it for dinner tomorrow! Overall a definite hit and we will be coming again with friends and family.

I really wanted to give this more stars as I have had good meals here in the past. The pub has a really nice ambience and we like to come here for a weekday lunch as we can hear each other talk. Today I visited with 5 friends and we all agreed that the food fell short on this occasion. My toasted sandwich was burnt black and was put in front of me with no apology. The accompanying fries were lukewarm. My friend’s battered fish was pale and flabby with no crispy batter and was clearly undercooked. The crispy duck and noodle salad had chewy slices of duck, no crispy bits, very few noodles and not enough dressing. We all felt that our food was disappointing Two others had the lamb rump which they said was good but overcooked. The service was excellent with lovely cheery girls in charge, but sadly our experience was let down by bad cooking.

A good menu with plenty of choice, food was well presented and served promptly, in particular the service was was excellent. 👍

We came on the Thursday of valentines. Food was amazing and service incredible. But the reason for the review was the attentiveness of the manager Jason. We were at our table checking our bill and doing some math and without prompt he came over and realised that the trigger button hadn’t been pushed. It saved us an additional £23 which was massive. I am so grateful that the guest experience is at the forefront of his mind. And the teams. Super super evening.

We had a wonderful meal at the Spring Tavern for Sunday roast. The staff were attentive and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for Harvie, Issy, Amie and Bradley. They even brought out extra vegetables for my 8 month old to nibble on during the meal and provided hot water for her milk bottle. The atmosphere was relaxed - exactly what I wanted for my birthday lunch. In my opinion, the roast (in particular the beef and pork) is the best you can get in the local area. All the food was absolutely delicious and there is a fab selection of drinks, non-alcoholic too. We couldn't have had a better experience at the Spring, so thank you to all the staff. We will be back again soon.

After not eating here for over 18 months - in the same week I visited twice. Once midweek with a group and had a great afternoon/evening and we all loved our food, So I decided to return today and had a great Sunday Roast lunch, along with great, friendly service, it’s been over a year since I have been to our local pub/restaurant as previously it was really disappointing on a number of occasions but I will definitely be returning.

I moved away from Ewell many years ago. Upon returning my son suggesting trying The Spring for late Sunday lunch. You can either book the restaurant or be served on the pub side, which we did. Cheese bites as a starter. What gorgeous food the roast was. Meat so tender and gravy to die for. The veggie side dishes are not in my photos but they were very generous too. I could not stop to talk. If ever I moved back to Ewell I would be here every Sunday. Wonderful.

Wowww What a Sunday lunch, my partner and I decided to try out the Spring Tavern, we normally go to its sister pub the Blue Anchor !!! Our visit today was inpeccable, from the moment we were greeted entering to the second we left. The customer service was suberv and as for the food, my wife and I both agree it was actually the best Sunday roast we have ever had, the meats were cooked to perfection, the potatoes were fluffy and so tasty and the accompanying vegetables were just right!!! Excellent all round guys, well done!!!! We decided to try the Spring Tavern last night based on its excellent reviews on Trip Adviser and the fact that the Management actually reply to guest comments ,and were not disappointed . On entering the pub it was great to see that it was so busy and this created a wonderful atmosphere,first impression. We were met by Amy who showed us to our table and made sure that we had our drinks promptly Luke then took over to take our main course order and was very helpful in giving my Son in Law some great recommendations for a Vegan meal. Our food was served quickly and was very tasty. All in all a great night out ….thanks to Luke and the team
