The Spen Dyke in Blackpool

If I could have awarded this pub a zero I would have done, the staff were very friendly but I’m afraid that’s all the positives. There was a quiz on so we sat outside as it was so loud, noisy people outside & a few youths were trying to get in the pub but were apparently barred. Eventually they were allowed in but chose to sit opposite us, the language was disgusting so we drank up & left only to see a youth urinating against a wall ! Won’t return

Used to go here decades ago when it was called “Winmarith”. car park was empty so didn’t bode well, however, very pleasantly surprised. Called Saturday lunch for a quick bite whilst out and about. Tried some tapas off the menu and was very tasty. The lady who served us was very nice, explained some things on the menu and was attentive, but not overly so. Will certainly pop back again for a drink and tapas.

Chippy Tea Friday at the Spen. Decided to go for the 2-4 £14 menu and wasn't disappointed. Cheaper than the chip shop. Nice cod with chunky chips and homemade minty peas. Great value and quality fresh food. Forgot to take photos of it though. Big thank you to Katie the catering manager!

Planned on visiting tonight as we often park on there to collect our daughter, however some clown decided out of spite to stop parents parking for 10 mins on the car park so we decided to go to Winstons instead. Clueless who owns this which is why it's always dead

Well, when you advertise bogof on steak draw people in and then serve them a drink without telling them you have no steak WOW afraid if the pub don't sort out how they treat customers then I can't see it being open long. Pub was empty, ended up at the Half Way House and had a lovely steak there instead

We went for an early evening meal and were really pleased with the value for money and quality of the food but more than that the friendly welcome for us and our little dog Harry was really great

Came to spen dyke for a couple of drinks n decided to stay for food. Ordered salami pizza and dirty fries (dirty fries not on the menu but the lady at the bar said she would make them especially for us, her name was Katie, glasses) food was really tasty and can tell it’s homemade. All in all really good service and food, especially by the one member of staff already named. Will defo be back!

Staff very helpful and pleasant but the service was pretty dire, our first meal came but the last one arrived when first finished, there were 8 of us so very slow. The food quality was pretty poor in the main but the pizzas were good. Poor menu as much of it was unavailable. The pub itself was clean as were the toilets. The pub has a chair lift to get access but from what I could see the toilets could be an issue. A nice atmosphere to. A decent car park and within walking distance to the S Shore.

Better than before, wasn't a massive fan of the Sunday dinner bit tried alot of the other menu and really enjoyed it. Burger really enjoyed

Four of us called for a drink and Sunday lunch recently and were pleased with our food and beers. We all had a Roast Beef Dinner which included 5 different vegetables as well as all the usual trimmings included. Beef was tender and tasty (I wished there had been a little bit more of it but no complaints about value and quality). Service was friendly and quick, the pub was clean, comfortable and dog friendly. Would certainly eat here again.

Went for an evening meal before the cut of time only to be told the meal order had not gone through on time a computer error so No meal. Offered a free drink very disappointingly if they want it to work they need to sort out a few issues otherwise it will go back to square one.

Great service! Great staff! Had a lovely experience here last night whilst out for a few drinks with some old friends! Katy on the bar was very nice to talk to and also helped take our drinks to our table when necessary. Will return soon :)

The pub was lovely and clean and the staff were amazing. I had the Lamb shank with minted mash and seasonal vegs. It was absolutely delicious. Can't thank Lee enough for the lift to the station because we couldn't get a taxi anywhere. Landlady and staff also lovely. We will be back

We ordered lamb shank, steak and guiness pie and Cumberland sausage. All meals were delicious and large portions. Very tasty and we will be back very soon to try the rest of the menu! Super attentive service as well.

We came on holiday to Blackpool for our daughters 10th birthday. We booked a table for the evening for a meal. When we arrived table had been decorated for the occasion. All staff made a fuss of our daughter ( all of us to be fair) Kelly was very attentive and we feel everyone went above and beyond. Food was amazing very obviously cooked to order and fresh. Kelly kindly led the birthday singing with cake and candles ! Will defiantly return next time we are in Blackpool.

Food was delicious, Kelly and Marie was both amazing hosts. I’d highly recommend coming here either for food or just some drinks with friends or family!
