What a great surprise, we really enjoyed our quick snack here. Both staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful on explaining different menu choices. One of us had the famous French onion cheese soup & the other had peanut butter brownie with coffee. We really enjoyed our quick bite. Will come back when in the area. Place clean,& toilets very clean too. Highly recommend this place. Thanks again

Sat outside and had the soups- french onion and beef goulash. Beef was great with fresh bread. My wife said the french onion was ok, slightly different, but as described. Great smoothie too. Was full inside and service was friendly and welcoming. Can see why everyone loves it.

What a great place. We stayed in Eastbourne for 3 days and went there 3 times. The piña colada was the best one we ever had and as French people, we were impressed by the oignon soup. Thank you so much for the great vibes and food! Hope to come back one day :)

As soon as you are greated by the consistant host you feel a lift in the atmosphere around you through his positivity and friendliness. The best frech onion soup you can find, you had better love melted cheese. There is of course a lot more to choose from, all of which is damned good quality grub. Drinks are just special. It has to be a place to be tried in eastbourne.

We just finished lunch here and it was fantastic 👌 We're in Eastbourne for the day and just happened to be passing. The place was very busy compared to other cafes which suggested it was good so we stopped and are really glad we did. The vegan menu was great, and the vegan favada was amazing 👏 Highly recommend

Very friendly and excellent food. I had the French onion soup which was gorgeous and my husband had a bacon sandwich which he loved. Great music and very quirky. Loved everything about it! Will definitely return when we’re in the area

Based upon the attitude of the owner or partner with the overgrown facial hair I would advise that unless you want t to be spoken to disrespectfully I’d suggest going Bills next door, food service and atmosphere was lovely at Bills and they made us feel very welcome. . Advise to owner Change your attitude!!

Love this place, we always make sure to come when we are in Eastbourne. The food is great, the cocktails are very boozy and cheap, the staff is lovely and the atmosphere is festive. It is certainly the nicest place in the high street.

The food is best , need to try French onion soup and pina colada and Chorizo. Amazing food and people always make me happy.

Amazing food , drinks and service

Popped in at just after lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised by the rustic interior and atmosphere.Had the chicken taco and 3 tapas which filled a large hungry hole i had in my belly.Service was polite and pleasant and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and the food was second to none. Went to Soup N Tap for lunch, heard good things about this place so was expecting it to be good, It exceeded all my expectations in every way, as soon as I walked in there is a great atmosphere, greeted by friendly staff ( owner?) Who actually took time to have a chat even though it was busy, We had Tapas And chicken Taco i can honestly say that it was up there with one of my favourite meals, the food was fresh and delicious, love the Décor and music, great vibe, accidentally spilled sauce on my trousers and owner rushed over with soda water and clean cloth for me, ( so thoughtful) every attention to detail is great, a great little gem in Eastbourne we are lucky to have, me and my partner both absolutely loved it. Are already talking about what we will eat next visit 😃 Highly recommend visiting 👌

We called in as it was recommended on Rate Beer. The food was excellent and the service was good. Unfortunately, the beer was not at its best , and that's being kind.

We recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before dining here. The owner, a bearded man with tattoos, displayed the rudest and most arrogant behaviour I've ever encountered in any dining establishment. The restaurant was playing music at an excessively high volume that it was nearly impossible to communicate with the staff or even hear us think. When I politely asked the owner to repeat himself because I couldn't hear him over the music, he responded by shouting each word, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Our table was unfortunately positioned directly under the speakers. When we requested for the volume to be lowered a bit , explaining how the loud music was impacting our dining experience, the owner flatly refused. We then asked if we could change tables, and his response escalated from rude to aggressive. He raised his voice, drawing the attention of other diners and staff, making a scene that was both embarrassing and humiliating. The situation worsened when he decided to cancel our food order entirely. He demanded that we pay for an unfinished cocktail and LEAVE immediately !!! His behaviour was not only unprofessional but also blatantly discriminatory and hostile. His body language and overall demeanour were dreadful, leaving us shocked. My friend was so stressed out trying to calm down the owner but ended up trembling and in tears. Well, the owner clearly needs a serious lesson in customer service, as his current approach seems to be insulting and alienating customers without any justifiable reason. Additionally, we noticed from the reviews that other customers were asked to LEAVE as well, so such behaviour from the owner is not an exception but seems to be becoming a rule. PS: Thank you for a response. However, I’m a bit confused about the comment regarding the "foreigner card." I do not recall mentioning anything about that during our visit.

My daughter and I sat down and started looking through the menu about 12.45pm. The waiter then came over to take our order, we said what we wanted and then were in no uncertain terms told that we were unable to have our order as the kitchen stopped serving our choice of food at 1pm. Once the waiter had gone back inside I looked at my watch and it and it said 1.03pm. I went and mentioned this and was told that there were exceptions made. You would think that as I’d been sitting I the restaurant for 20 mins prior and the fact that he actually wanted the business that he would have obliged. The guy’s attitude from the moment we walked in was terrible, will definitely never be going back.

Myself and my partner come here about twice a month. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere, and the service is always high standard. We are always made to feel welcome the food is always fresh and tastes great. Highly recommend for everyone.

I and my love return all times to this amazing atmosphere restaurant. This time I have tried the most superb and taste Piña Colada of my life by Fabian. And how is usual I ate a delicious taco by Jorge, very good balance in its ingridients. We strongly reconmend this place for all of friends because there you can to be sure all food and drinks is exceptional well done!

A strange lively atmosphere as you wait to be seated, Fabian a most excellent host greets you with such a big smile, you can even see it through his massive beard. Sadly my latte was in my belly before I remembered to take the photo.

Such a hidden gem. I highly recommend it, whenever anyone asks where they should eat in Eastbourne I always say Soup N Tap. The food is delicious and never disappoints. They have a whole vegan menu, so most dishes they can offer a vegan option for. I really enjoy the brushetta, chickpea strew and the garlic bread (pictured). The cocktails are very tasty too. The couple that run it and their staff are very friendly and polite.

After at least 8 times frequenting this palace of unbelievable cuisine… it’s about time I left a review. The owner Fabian knows whenever I’m visiting the south coast… as this is always my port of call. Service is fab & Food is amazing. Was here again on Saturday with my whole family… as this is their preferred destination too. Music is amazing & food is incredible & all at a really reasonable price… well worth standing in the queue to get the food/service expected with a top end establishment with an extremely great price. Thanks to all the team involved & can’t wait to annoy you again… & of course, bring the sun with me once again… which of course happens every time I’m in Eastbourne 😆 Grazie mille… I am expecting the best ever Gazpacho next time…& a discount for the review 🤪

What an amazing place. Been here 3 times now & have to say it's my favourite place in Eastbourne. The host is so happy & helpful. The food is definitely worth the wait ( it's all cooked fresh to order ). Prices are OK not over priced for what you get. The cocktails are such good value. I always have the pina - colada which comes in a fresh pineapple. Only down side to this place it's so far away from where we live, but trust me if it was closer I would be here more often. Great great place. If your in Eastbourne you have to go there.

We have been in Soup 'N' Tap a couple times before, and from our first time for now, our experiencie it was gorgeous! The menú really is diversity menu, this meaning you have the opportunity to try different ingridients in many dishes. Fabian and Jorge are the most kind staff I have found for now! So, definitively we love this place!

Hearing the lively music,I decided to try , lovely welcome by the staff, I sat outside it was a sunny February morning. I ordered the Beautiful tasting chicken Taco,& a nice cappuccino. I tried the peanut butter chocolate brownie which was very nice . I enjoyed my first visit, the decor is very nice, clean toilets & very relaxed atmosphere. I will be back soon.

I have walked past many times, and heard the great music, so I said why not try the food, and I did today. Lovely and delicious chicken taco, with veg and lots of marinated herbs. I had a cappuccino which was lovely too, perfect strength of coffee and temperature. The owner was so friendly and happy to chat, great customer service. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous place! It was recommended as were the soups. We had French onion and the smoked salmon, both delicious. Lovely welcoming waiter and marvellous frozen Margarita. Fun atmosphere and will definitely go every time I'm in Eastbourne.

Love this place. Always go here when in Eastbourne. Love the soups and more recently the mulled wine with a kick of whiskey or Amaretto. Highly recommended. The service is second to none.

Music went up far too loud. I see your response. The music was definitely not as loud on entry and clearly went up. Your attitude in your reply, was similarly smug as the service. That wasn't something I should of known before I went in. But I do now

I have walked past here several times and always looks busy with a good atmosphere. My friend and I decided to give it a go. The welcome was really warm and friendly. We were unsure what wine to go for, to help we were given a taste of a white and rose to help us decide. We had the most delicious tapas all cooked really well and tasted delicious. After our meal I had a cocktail which was really lovely too. I won’t be walking past next time. Highly recommended and will be back to try the soup and more cocktails. Thank you we had such a lovely catch-up with fab food and great ambience.

Absolutely love this place, bloody good food and drinks and amazing staff. Highly recommended to anyone in Eastbourne! We walked past one day during our trip and smelt the food as we walked past, it was that tantalising we popped in for dinner and were not disappointed. In fact we loved the food and staff that much we returned for lunch the next day before we headed home.

My wife had onion soup and I had beef goulash. The food was full of flavour and great value. We shared a desert which was just as well couldn’t have eaten one each. A real gem and we shall certainly be returning next time we visit Eastbourne. Really nothing I could fault. We wish we’d have a cocktail of 2 but to be honest we were so full form put food we couldn’t manage another thing.

An interesting restaurant offering an aclectic range of food which can get very busy. The waiters are welcoming and friendly but rushed off their feet most of the time, and unfortunately, service suffers as a consequence. There are signs everywhere saying 'good food takes time' and 'please be patient'. However, I think this is mainly due to the chef struggling to keep up rather than the time needed to prep the food as my tortilla had clearly been reheated and the flavours suffered as a consequence. Service is reasonable and the atmosphere relaxed on the whole. But don't try to speak to the chef, or you'll get snapped at. On the whole, the food is good, but at these prices for the portion sizes you would expect it to be.

I searched Tripadvisor for somewhere to have lunch in Eastbourne and Soup n Tap came up, and I am so glad that it did. Horrible rainy day but we received such a warm welcome from the owner. I had a great caramel latte, amazing French onion soup (I go to the French Alps every year and this beats anything I have had there), my wife had the chicken and lentil soup and said said she loved it. We went against the owners advice and also ordered 3 tapas dishes from the extensive tapas menu and we weren't disappointed. All in all, a warm friendly place with great food. what more can you ask ! We will be back soon 10/10

Recently visited, it must be one of the best meals out I have ever had, when the manger comes to your table, he explains the dishes and what they are made from how they are cooked,it's like you are the only people in there.you are asked about any allergies etc.then the food arrives, and it is delicious. Don't worry if you haven't tried the dish before I can assure you it is delicious. Very reasonably priced. A must do when visiting.i would recommend it to everyone. Excellent.

We took a trip to Eastbourne for the weekend and came stopped here for lunch. Absolutely stunning food and service. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a lovely gentleman who took care of us during our visit. Taking the time to go through all the soups of the day. The food was so delicious, we had the French Onion Soup and Beef Goulash soup which were both so good. Would 100% recommend this place and will be visiting again.

Went here yesterday, on the recommendation of lovely ladies @Sunbean (5 *rating ). The atmosphere was lively. The slush margarita was excellent as was the food. Very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely visit again when in Eastbourne.

Beautiful place in the middle of the town,weather was good so I seat outside,very tasty French onion soup,the aubergine tapas dish was superb,good value for money and also worth every penny. Definitely chef cooking from the soul. I will see you again soon

We visited today. We have passed this place a few times and had always wanted to try, and we were not disappointed. Great restaurant, great selection of food and drinks on offer from different parts of the world. We had chicken and pork tacos and patatas bravas with a yellow and green smoothie. Everything was freshly made and full of flavour. Staff were polite and friendly. Great selection of Latino music playing while we sat out in the sunshine, it felt like we were somewhere on holiday abroad. Lovely little gem. We will be back.

I popped into Soup N Tap on Terminus Road in Eastbourne for an early dinner today because, honestly, I just didn't feel like cooking. And let me tell you, it was a great decision! Last time I was here, my brother had the salad, and he raved about it so much that I decided to give it a try this time. Let me tell you, he was onto something. The salad is something else – warm roast veggies, fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, and a tasty dressing. Of course, what's a meal without a drink, right? I ordered a half-pint of beer, and it came perfectly chilled, making the whole experience even better. One thing I really appreciate about Soup N Tap is how consistent they are with their food. I can always count on getting a delicious meal when I come here. Plus, the vibe is nice and relaxed, and the service is spot on. So, if you're ever in Eastbourne and don't feel like cooking, I highly recommend Soup N Tap on Terminus Road. You won't be disappointed – great food and a chill atmosphere, what more could you ask for?
