Table sticky and menu needed a wipe, The bar staff were very polite and apologetic for the failures. Actually felt sorry for them have to apologise for basic services.

Served by Josh, was excellent. He knows so much about the products served and maintains an entertaining conversation throughout your time at the bar. Promptly brought all my food over with any condiments I asked for just a few seconds later. He truly made me experience at Slug enjoyable, and I will be coming back!

Had a great lunch at Staines slug and lettuce. Great place on the river and Carly was brilliant, especially with the 2 Year old who was with us. Also want to mention Michael who was excellent when we were here 2 weeks ago.

Great location here - with back doors that all open onto the river with loads of seating. Nice quick service on the self ordering. Izzy the server helped us get a spot where we could get some shade for the buggy outside and spent a lovely afternoon here.

I had an exquisite time at the slug and lettuce. All the workers were super friendly and welcoming. Josh was super quick at clearing away our glasses and Carly really brought the party. The food was super quick and my server Izzy was great at recommending food and Bruna was amazingly quick at delivering it. The cocktails are so creative and I’m always excited to go there. Especially their themed brunches. I totally recommend this place!!

Took my mum for a bottomless brunch and was lucky enough to be served by Louise - I don’t normally leave reviews at slug but Louise’s service was unmatched and we wanted to show our appreciation. Thank you staines slug and lettuce and Louise!

Wasn't our first choice of venue but we decided to give it a whirl and very glad we did... Bottomless brunch exceeded all our expectations. Michael very attentive, kept our beverages topped up, nothing was too much trouble a great mix of drinks on offer, and an added bonus that the food was great too. Friendly, courteous staff and a lively atmosphere. Very good value. Thanks Michael for making our groups afternoon. 5 🌟stars to you!!!!

Has a really great location next to the river. Really disappointing experience. The food safety and hygiene here is apauling. While I was ordering at the bar, the bartender couldn't even speak cause her mouth was so full of food, looked like the bartenders and manager were having a three course meal behind the bar. Bathrooms are disgusting with baby nappies left on the sinks, no toilet paper available. Just feels like the general attitude of front of house staff is that we don't care. My partner and I had a drink spillage at the table, wich happens, went to the bar to inform the manager and she turned around and said," here's some blue roll , clean it up". And carried on eating her food.

Waited 40 minutes + for 2 cocktails !! Both were half full and overpriced!! Food however arrived seconds after ordering, which had clearly just been chucked in a microwave and tasted so vile I wouldn’t feed it to my dogs ! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The food was terrible! We all had sore stomach’s only a few hours after. They are pre- made microwave meals. We saw them warm it up and Dish it. Tables were being cleaned up around us. We ate dinner with all our starter plates and glasses on our table. App wasn’t working to order, so had to go to bar and wait ages. Really disappointed. A venue with such stunning views should have good food and good service.

While the food was okay and the drinks were good. But the drinks service was incredibly slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy, so we only had a short amount of time to drink them before leaving at 8pm due to the under 18 curfew, even though we had ordered well in advance.

If you are looking for a spot with great view for having lunch, this is the best place… no traffic noise just a river and swans as landscape

Me and my wife decided to have date night at the slug and lettuce and to say the experience was out of this world from friendly hello from the staff especially from Charlie and dale who were on the bar we ordered some small plates and they were just right and filling to go with the new cocktails that were offered will definitely be returning for another date night many thanks to dale and the staff at the slug and lettuce

I have been coming here probably all through lockdown and enjoyed your lovely service staff and food. Last week came in on Wednesday and told you had no white wine! For God sake a pub without wine is like a butchers without meat. Came in today with a couple of old friends who were really looking forward to Fish and chips. Told sorry no fish and chips, no Lasagne and no mash for sausages. Only 2 staff on, Charlie and the guy were trying they best, but you have a prime spot on the river and it was busy I really think you should appreciate your staff a lot more than you do. It's not surprising that you have lost good staff who probably felt undervalued to other pubs further down the road. You are at the moment on a down wood spiral. I have always loved coming and enjoying a glass or two but the service you provide at the moment is diabolical. I hope you get a good manager in otherwise I feel your days are numbered.

Visited end of August on a Sunday evening and couldn’t fault it! The cocktails were amazing, the setting was lovely too. It was quite so the service was great! The young lady behind the bar was lovely, didn’t get her name. And the young man, think he said his name was Mark(?), was great too! Will definitely be returning when next in the area!

We enjoyed slugs range of new watermelon and cherry blossom cocktails during happy hour. Slightly too sweet for our taste but good nonetheless. We also had the sharer which was a perfect size for two and very tasty.

Had just arrived on holiday and travelled long journey so we were all hungry. Ordered the sharing platter which on the picture on menu looked lovely. However when it arrived it looked absolutely nothing like it should have. Half the things were missing and not at all as described. Staff not knowledgable about the menu either. After being challenged as to what we were unhappy with we got a refund and left still hungry. Customer service experience very lacking in this establishment.

We stopped her for lunch on the terrace along the Thames. Nice setting but it's a shame it was messy with several receipts on the floor. We followed the one way system, but upon entrance, there wasn't anyone who showed us a table. From a distance,someone shouted ee could sit anywhere and should order at the bar. When we had made a decision, there wasn't actually anyone at the bar so had to wait for service. The food was served quickly and was tasty. Happy with 2 for 1 cocktail as well. Such a shame the staff weren't more attentive on this quiet afternoon.

Overall, a lovely place to have some drinks by the river. The staff are very friendly and ultimately want to ensure you have the best possible time. We were welcomed very warmly inside by Lily and I believe it was Alexander and Grace who made our very nice drinks; the cherry cola and the sex on the beach were particularly good. They spoke very highly of Chris and Wez leading the team on the shift.Keep up the good work all!

We had an amazing night out at the Slug in Staines. Their card machine and their app went down in the same night but their staff handled it phenomenally. Big shout of to our lovely waitress Grace, who handled all our drinks and cash, and the lovely young guy on the door who explained the situation to everyone and dealt with some rude guests with professionalism and calmness.

Absolute great time for the Bottomless! was served by Grace and she was honestly amazing. Got so much for your money and we upgraded to the pornstar option which is a must!
