Amazing ambience, great service and delicious food

Had a lovely evening with cousins. Very tasty, fresh food. Minimal staff who was very capable of handling all the customers. Very pleasantly surprised. Also great value for money.

Really sad to write this review and so wanted this to live up to the reviews currently posted but this meal was not good at all. The calamari was appalling, hard and tasteless with a slice of lemon not a wedge so no hope of squeezing a dash of lemon on it and the lamb special for Easter was just rolled compressed lamb with a glutinous gravy. The chicken Milanese was greasy and the mozzarella in the salad was very dry. We asked for water which came nicely warm in two glasses and the wine placed on the table without cooler so we drank it fast and left. Really wanted to find a diamond but sadly not 🥲. Might just suggest a start point of pulling up the dead plants from the boxes out front - first impressions and all that.

Do not eat here, I found a nail in my food and the manager would not speak to me. Instead left the front of house to speak to me. They refused to bring the kitchen staff out. It's my wedding anniversary and they have spoilt my evening. The nail was in the food, they refused to refund me.

Not sure why this place is rated so high. Ora or Ten restaurants are much better on the same high street. Food was just ok. Don’t order calamari, you’ll regret it.

Affordable prices. Acceptable food

Ideal place to have your first date, in turn must be ideal for your 30th date or 70th date. If your within a few miles from the venue, you would be mad not to frequent at least 3 or 4 times a year. If your further afield, please gain a pass first. Thanks Fez

First time I been to the sizzle nice little place and was already full when I got there but luckily we reserved a table. I ordered the spaghetti pescatore and my friend the spaghetti gamberoni. Both dishes were beautifully prepared I do not have any negatives flavours all came through. I was still feeling hungry so I ordered some calamari, I think the calamari could be improved the coating I found was too thick, but as the main was so spectacular I'm still giving it a 5 star. And hope they had a one off. Also had a tiramisu for dessert and that finished of the meal well for us. Will definitely come back to sample more dishes

So far me & my boyfriend visited twice and we'll definitelly go again! More than reasonable prices for very delicious Italian kind of food. The restaurant is small and cozy, the staff is extremely nice and kind. My boyfriend would change the choice of music, I personally wasn't bothered by 'radio' type of music. I 100% recommend this restaurant if you like tasty Italian food.

This price is unapologetically brilliant. What it lacks in modern setting it all but makes it up with food and service. Will definitely be coming back again.

The food was incredible. We were trying foods that we had never tried before and lets just say it was amazing great prices for the portions they serve. They service was amazing and staff was very nice would definetly come again.

Fantastic restaurant! Food is so tasty and the staff are so accommodating - they even picked out the black olives and only gave us green ones ! Great restaurant for date night or bringing the kids with you. Massive portions, great value - go!

Highly recommended. Its very rare I have cause to say "exceptional value for money" but this is one of those occasions. In a time of inflation, and unaffordable living conditions, "The Sizzle" truly is great quality food for affordable prices - a very refreshing change. Staff are very attentive, friendly, and efficient. Food came quickly and without fault. We had the mushroom pasta and the al forno pasta - both were delicious. Being a small venue, they were packed out - so make sure you reserve a table in advance. Definitely made a repeat customer out of me.

This is such an incredible restaurant with very tasty meals. I was delighted by the friendly staff and the quality of the food. Everything came out with great flavour and cooked to perfection. Definitely will be coming here again, highly suggest everyone to try this out!

Went for dinner with my parents tonight. My mum had the salmon dish. First time it came out cold and hard and the pasta was cold too! The waitress took it back to redo it. Took ages to come back out, so both me and my dad had finished our main courses when it came out. The salmon and pasta was still not hot coming out the 2nd time. So had to send it back. The 3rd time coming out the pasta still wasn't completely hot, but my mum was starving by this time so had no choice but to eat it! When paying for the bill, my dad refused to pay for the salmon dish due to all our time wasted. But the waitress informed us that as my mum had eaten the food, they couldn't take the dish off the total! We asked to speak to the owner but was told that they were too busy to come out! (They weren't even that busy in the restaurant at that point!) I have never put a review like this online before, but the restaurant obviously don't care about us coming back or telling everyone, as they could have simply taken the charge off our bill!

Food was tasty but service was a bit slow. Veal dish was delicious but presentation could be improved. The cafe/restaurant lacks a distinctively Italian decor. Good for a relaxed lunch with a newspaper. Will go again. Friendly and pleasant first visit.

I thought the food was decent but nothing particularly special, reasonably priced with 2 courses and a drink for each of us coming to less than £30 per person.

This place has such a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff as a big family we’ve been so many time’s absolutely love it here.

The whole experience was lovely. The waitress was the perfect mix of efficient and friendly. The food was great. Good flavours and tastes and served hot and in good time and all meals arrived together. We were a party of 4 and everyone was very happy with our meals. A very very enjoyable dinner. Thank you. Went there last night to celebrate my 80th birthday with a party of 17. What can I say, excellent food, excellent service. Staff was brilliant and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and very reasonably priced. Best little restaurant in Ruislip. Well worth giving it a try.

My favourite Italian by far. The staff are extremely friendly and always accommodating. The food is delicious. And it’s a lovely cosy atmosphere.

We decided to try this restaurant by the reviews it has!! We were very disappointed firstly with the interior decoration…very boring and plain. Then the foo; The calamari was overcooked….very tough and chewy,then my pizza was tasteless and bland.I only ate half of it! Sadly we won’t be returning

Have had many meals from Sizzle . Every one has been gorgeous. Amazingly quick delivery. Always red hot as it was this evening . We had lasagne , lamb chops and chicken wings . Delicious! Would recommend to anyone . Interesting and different menu too .

Went there for birthday dinner of a friend. We ordered a mix of veg/meat pasts and a veg pizza. Everything was decent, prices are quite decent too and the staff is flexible on customizing your pasta, so really liked that. All in all, good food, good price and a good resto.

I've visited various restaurants that have occupied thus location over the years. The physical premises does suffer from the brick front rather than glass, which all the nearby eateries have. There is nothing the business tenants can really do about that if the landlord (or maybe council) won't permit a glass front. What they cam do and certainly do do here, is provide really good food, good service, nice ambience (the brick front notwithstanding) at good prices (including for the drinks). Quite simply they hit the mark with 5 out of 5 scores on all of these. I'd honestly say I've not had a better calzone than the one I had there. That includes any I have eaten in Italy. Other places nay have matched The Sizzle one, but they have not surpassed it. I look forward to returning and trying more items on their menu.

Happily surprised! Ordered for delivery, all the food came piping hot and great portions that make it worth the money. We had the spaghetti bolognaise, lasagna and the fries. Only suggestions would be maybe adding garlic bread to the menu and a bit of cheese on the bolognaise or a small pot of Parmesan to sprinkle once arrived. Glad we took a chance and tried The Sizzle, would recommend and have again 😊

Quite nice but I wouldn’t eat here if you are conscious of eating healthily. Most of the dishes I have ordered have been really heavily covered in cream and 2 of those were salads! The mash is amazing but other than that, it’s kind of a mums cooking kind of place. The tiramisu is great but wouldn’t recommend the ‘calamari’. It was more like a spherical crab stick deep fried in very old oil (tar tar sauce was good).

Food was delicious, very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend and I will be returning.

Small restaurant with very pleasant staff, nice food and reasonable prices. Steak was excellent, fish very good. Pizza was good, but pancetta overpowering for a full pizza. Drink prices very good.

Just had a lovely Father’s Day meal at the Sizzle. The food was absolutely stunning, fresh, piping hot and all served with a friendly smile from the lovely staff. I cannot recommend the Sizzle enough. 10/10

Quirky in a good way, an Italian restaurant ran by Sri Lankans. Great food, not expensive, and service.

I love this place. I have been ordering from the sizzle and having it delivered and there has never been any problems. The food is in good order when it arrives and it is presented exactly the same as if you eat in. The sizzle does predominantly Italian and I think it is Ruislips best kept secret Italian. Eating in the food is so good and the staff are really helpful and friendly. The seating are is small which makes it really nice and an excellent place for an intimate dinner. I went recently for my birthday with family and it could not have gone better. Definitely go to sizzle whether eat in or delivery,, you will not be disappointed. We love it.

First time we have had a delivery from this restaurant and won't be the last! Food was delivered in less than 30 minutes and arrived piping hot. Portions were big and my tagliatelle el Funghi was delicious. Very impressed.

Just ate in for the first time and we all had a really lovely meal. All had something different, I had the calzone which was delicious. Excellent value and busy considering it was 5.30 on a Tuesday evening. The young lady serving was lovely too...

Great food, generous portions and very good price. Had the crespelle alla fiorentina, spaghetti marinara and a pizza and it was really good. Service was lovely too. 100% recommended.

I had a sneaky suspicion when I discovered Sizzle online that I may just have found a hidden gem within the array of restaurants locally and I certainly wasn't disappointed! My immediate observation was how welcoming the two ladies who greeted us were. Our meals were delicious, good sized portions and the homemade tirimasu was excellent 👌 I was also asked if there was anything with the meals that I would improve, which I believe is a first for any restaurant in my experience! Their prices are very reasonable too which felt like the icing on the cake of a delightful lunchtime meal for 4 people. A must go for all discerning foodies.

Now this is what I call a good pizza! Had it for the first time last night and I can say that it was the best pizza I have had in my 6 years of living in London! Every pizza I had before was just soaked in the tomato sauce which I hate and every time it made me feel sick afterwards. But not this one, it had just enough so it gives flavour to the pizza. And with the thin base, the yummy cheese and the fresh toppings, it was the perfect pizza! Please don’t ever change it! 🙏🏻♥️

A bit disappointing we had to wait a long time for the food. There was not enough gluten free pasta and the fish was dry. Very friendly service and they tried to be helpful. So I would try it again.

The sizzle pizza is definitely a must buy! Customer service is lovely and the food is great Edit - I’ve since been in store and the decor is lovely. I don’t usually take pictures of my food but this lasagne i ordered home was too good not to share. The portion sizes are massive and are a great find for price, thank you The Sizzle!

Fabulous family run Italian restaurant, food tastes fantastic, portions are generous. Excellent menu for both non vegetarian and vegetarian. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance. The two girls who manage the restaurant are very professional, friendly and chatty. We had a great meal and will be returning for more….keep up the good work and look forward to our next visit.

3 of is ate at 6 pm yesterday. Outside looked very inviting. Inside is quite small with a choice of banquet seating or chairs. Very tastefully decorated. Feels intimate. Music not too loud. Waitress/owner very pleasant and helpful. The meal was delicious. My friends had a pizza and a Greek salad between them as the portions are substantial. They spoke highly of the pizza. My penne ariabata was delicious. Prices very reasonable and we would all visit again. Very pleasant evening.

Lovely little family friendly restaurant with huge, delicious portions!

Great food and amazing service. Definitely got a very sizeable portion and the lamb skewers were amazing. From the starters all the way to the dessert, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the waitress was very helpful and friendly :)
