Amazing place, the food was so flavourful and delicious we literally wiped the plates. The service was really nice, the menu has so much options and they helped us choose the right dish and spice level. Will definitely come back. Butter chicken and deep fried onions are must try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are from Germany, but whenever we’re in London, we come to the Sitara. The food is great and the host knows how to make every visit an awesome experience.

Was a very good dinner! Staff was very friendly and food was tasty. Good range of options too, both classic Indian dishes and a few more original versions.

Small family run restaurant. Having a small restaurant myself, the personal touch was welcoming. I truly believe this is the best Indian food ever I’ve had. My only ‘very small’ gripe was that the bill was handwritten and totally illegible. Not even sure if it was in English; looked like shorthand. Anyway, would be back next time I’m in the UK and would highly recommend.

We love Indian food and knew we wanted to try some in London. This place was great in every way: great atmosphere (including excellent jazz soundtrack), a lovely father and son at the helm and of course, delicious food. We let the son put a menu together for us after he asked about our preferences and we had no regrets! Highly recommended!

Had an amazing meal while visiting from the States. Owner was very kind to us and ordered for us to make sure we got the most unique dishes that represented the cuisine. Enjoyed the Jazz atmosphere and friendly staff. Busy but attentive staff took great care of us. Not to be missed!

This is my favourite spot in north London. They pay such attention to every person visiting, sometimes curating individual meals based on what you like. Loads of tasty veggie/vegan options. The service is incredible and the food is amazing. I’ve recommended it to so many people and every time I come in I’m reminded why. Absolutely 5 stars, every time.

Sensational food - all prepared and cooked individually combined with charming staff - a new favourite - North London’s best curry

The food in this lovely restaurant surpassed all expectations. The high quality of ingredients was evident in the texture of the meat and vegetables. The seasoning was exquisite - a subtle mix of spices which gave the dishes an intense flavour free from the harshness that can accompany some foods. The bread was cooked to perfection. There was no trace of residual oil or over use of ghee. The food was simply perfect in every way! The atmosphere was welcoming and intimate. The decor interesting. The music so appealing. Who would have predicted that Punjabi food and Jazz would be such a wonderful mix? All of this was complemented by the fantastic staff. A special thanks to Meesho who quickly learnt our names and who demonstrated the highest level of customer care. And to the amazing chef whose took the time to advise us on what to order and the best food combinations. We enjoyed every aspect of this meal and will be sure to visit this wonderful place next time we are in London. Thank you. X

Tiny family-run place … going steady for 30+ years. Absolutely fantastic food: always freshly-cooked from scratch (you can look directly into the kitchen through the window next to one of the tables and see how it’s done). Friendly. And excellent music (Raj, son of the couple who founded Sitara, is a jazz fanatic.)

The Sitara has some of the best Indian food you can find around the area. And the service was absolutely fantastic and friendly. Would not miss this one if I were you!

I live nearby and have walked pass this restaurant for a few times, always wanted to try and finally came in for a dinner for 2. It was surprisingly nice with the jazz themed decorations and music. Nice atmosphere. Food was fantastic, the best fish masala I’ve ever had, I can taste the fresh herbs and spices, lots of flavours! Rogan Josht (the lamb dish) was nice too.

It's always a bit nerve wracking returning to places you loved after you moved away and years have passed but I really never needed to worry because the, coolest jazziest, Indian restaurant in London is still fantastic. You are greeted like old friends by the utterly charming manager, who makes you feel at home immediately. The food is still delicious, classic Punjabi, cooking that looks so familiar, yet, like smooth Jazz that plays in the background, each dish has tiffs and notes thet dance on your palate and delight your senses. Chicken tikka is reborn, tangy, tender and moist. The lamb Vindaloo has a hell of a kick but it is more than just heat, complex flavours balance it out giving it a rich, savoury depth of flavour . And my love of the simple Onion Bhaji was reborn as all the tasteless greasy ones I had endured since my last visit where forgotten with a single mouthful of this crispy, flavoursome, wonder. We finished with fabulous Rasmalai, happy and sated. Glad to be back with the coolest friendliest curry cats that you could ever hope to meet. Don't be square, get down there, and savour the be-bob twists that make familiar dishes soar once more.

i’ve been living in the area for years now and i am annoyed I had not come here before! The ambience/lighting and music is so nice, quite rare to find, the restaurant was almost full which is always a good sign on a Monday. Tandoori chicken cooked on charcoal was so soft and tasty and I think the bread was handmade. Service was also impeccable, friendly and very attentive. Definetly will go back and recommend
