I haven't rated the food as I didn't eat and tbf I'm not sure if they even do food! Staff were very nice and friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere feel to it

Good pub but unfortunately never staffed properly during busy times such as pre match Hull City games ,needs to employ more bar staff and open the bar in the other room to maximise its full potential , the extra sales would easily cover the additional bar staff , IMO .

The silver cod is traditional community pub with darts and pool in the bar. A former bass Charrington pub, It is named after the Trawler trophy awarded each year for the trawler with the largest catch. The pub was opened by a skipper off Iceland by radiolink. This community pub has a wide choice of beers and lager, unfortunately no cask conditioned hand pulled real ale. The staff are friendly and there is a large function room and an outside seating area with car park to the rear. Dog friendly.

Friendly staff but expensive Guinness

Fantastic iv not been in for years, there was so many I knew, one thing upset me a very young lady come outside and was so abrupt to an older lady who was having a smoke ,now i know there both bar staff 😳 it was disgusting how she spoke to her .

Proper local boozer with friendly staff and customers helped me unwind as was a bit stressed out really appreciated the friendly atmosphere

Close to Hull city football ground so great place for a pre match pint. Hull fans made especially welcome. Great prices on beer, excellent choice of pints. Couldn't believe the price of the beer midweek, cheapest in the area. Great atmosphere, especially when matches are on sky sports. Love this pub.

Every single glass we were given was filthy and had either scum on inside, blackcurrant stains or lipstick marks. The head on my beer at one point even had blackcurrant on after pint was poured.

The reason we was there was after a funeral and both rooms were filled completely. The pub is usually quite busy especially if football or rugby on and at weekends. It has its own clubs ie darts and also bingo and every one was friendly.

Easily the Best Fish & Chips shop on Anlaby Road, but as there's So Many Fast Food outlets, they aren't encouraged to open more than a few hours per day. Pity really!
