The Ship Hotel in Mid Devon

Lovely old style pub. I went for a game of pool with the kids. Free pool in the main bar or only £3 for an hour down stairs. There is a few top spec dart boards downstairs too. £5 a pint of Guinness which is a good pint too. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Would recommend a visit for all of the above.

Me and a few friends went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Absolutely lovely food.

Small room with every comfort to hand . Well thought out . From the large tv to the mini fridge. The USB sockets , touch lamp and light switch right above headboard. And the bar! So friendly with pool table and amazing food. Love it here!

Had a Sunday lunch meal here today. Food is very good, a big selection of veg and choice of either pork or turkey as the meat. All cooked to perfection, selection of various desserts, can recomend the salted caramel meringue, provided you still have room for it. Or the fruit pie and custard or perhaps the syrup pudding as an alternate, no photos but the banana split is also good

Popped in for lunch which was really good value. The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

Very friendly and accommodating staff(Matt & Sam & Karen) My partner and I had suffered an attack in our own home and thought to venture out after 4 days & ended up here! We're so glad we did! Although many drinks were had, it made us feel better and The Ship Inn is a place where you are welcome. Top all round 🌹🌞

Known this pub for some time, great beer, lovely staff. The recent refurb of the bedrooms is fabulous, comfy beds and pillows (got to find out where they buy them) spacious and well appointed, clean and plenty of tea, coffees etc. Cannot fault it

Stayed the night for a family event We were made very welcome and both the lunch and the breakfast we had were great and the service excellent.

It is a perfect place to stay to break up a long journey to Cornwall.

Staff were so accommodating, letting us check in hours early with no notice, so we could get into our rooms before a wedding. Classic English Pub downstairs, and such nice rooms. Lots of nice touches like free milk in the minibar, coffee and tea. And very affordable. Would definitely stay again

Stayed for a night at this quirky, historical hotel. Very comfortable, large room, with fridge, tea, coffee, fresh milk and hot chocolate. Loved the extra touches - the cupboard full of books and DVDs to borrow and the USB charging ports in the plug sockets. Friendly, helpful staff.
