Dropped in for a quick pint after watching rugby...got a warm welcome and a very nice pint.

The drink was Nice staff are okay only thing that kinda disappointed me was I couldn't hear the music on the TV didn't like seeing formula f 1 on the TV either, everybody who was in their looked very miserable and depressed so it ain't the best pub I been too so far. 🙁😒😐

A nice friendly pub which, although has a ‘locals’ vibe, is always welcoming and a nice spot to relax on the edge of the centre. There’s plenty of seating indoors but there’s a really nice garden which acts as the perfect afternoon sun trap. Lots of screens for sport, as well as a rare to find dart board, combined with the good prices make it a nice spot in the area.

It's surprising, but it's really nice when you go in, beers are good and the staff are wonderful too

Nice pub, friendly welcome. One of the nearest pubs to the railway station in Bedford. Even more handy for the fish and chip shop 😊

I had occasion to re acquaint myself with the Ship after an absence of some 40 years!A delightful Lady called Jan made my 3 visits within the week a joy! Later in each day she was aided by a delightful young Lady called Emily! I felt like a long-time local! Thank you and...I'll be back!

Nice pub especially if your looking for a sports bar. Sky sports, Bt sports , champions league football. Also pool table and darts board. Landlady makes you feel welcome. If they are not showing the match you expected ask them. The channels were changed no problem. Good selection of beer. Chelsea won. So good evening all round.

I play Pool for Kempston Rovers, and this is one of the best venues on the calendar. Good old fashioned Boozer with a superb Pool Table and great half time food.

Really like this pub. Warm homely friendly welcome. Always has the sport on and great roasts. Will be in to try the Kareoke at some point.

A bit sad all together, a regular pub with a touch of decadence

Having recently moved to Bedford from Southampton I am very unfamiliar with the area. I came across the Ship Inn one evening whilst out walking the dog. The landlady was absolutely lovely and was more than happy to accommodate my dog too. I was slightly intimidated being on my own in what seemed to be a male orientated pub but all the locals were incredibly welcome and hospitable. I now have a regular pub and have started to make friends here. There is currently no food served but I'm informed that this is due to change soon but the landlady often puts on food for the regulars free of charge!! It's a shame this lovely little place is tucked away from the centre but maybe that's its charm? I'm looking forward to getting out into the beer garden too when the weather starts to get better as they've got a tv out there for sports as well!

Well... they serve beer. The frontage and the interior look like a nice old style pub but the atmosphere is very strange. It feels like they don't want you there, hard to really put your finger on. The staff are functional but not especially friendly and they do literally no food besides crisps and nuts, even at lunchtime. They show football almost ALL the time if you are into that and they have a covered smoking area out the back but as neither of these interest me, it's not a pub I would recommend unless you are really gasping or need the loo.
