Great food and service. Really friendly vibe, highly recommended

We have been here a few times and the quality of food is always excellent.. We visited last year when we were stopping at a campsite around the corner and again the food was lovely. Staff always extra friendly and a beautiful sitting area at the back. Dog friendly as well. We would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely pub restaurant, a hidden gem! All staff were very friendly and accommodating. The chef is obviously talented because all of the flavours were very complimentary! Gained a few ideas to try to recreate at home.

I was disappointed with my meal. Posh fish finger buttie The smallest bit of fish. All batter. Wouldn't order it again. But everyone else in our party enjoyed there meals

14 of us went for our christmas day meal ...we booked the Captains table up stairs ..it was set beautifully, the service was excellent and the food was lovely ..we booked the last sitting which was 2 45 and left around 7 ish ..we didnt feel rushed at all ..would definitely recommend...thank you

Loved our recent visit to the ship, it was a spur of the moment trip for a rare childless meal out. The ship didn't disappoint with an immediately welcoming feel the moment we stepped inside, a lovely warm fire not far from where we were sat and a wide selection of food and drinks to choose from. I went for the brazed beef wellington and my other half had the chicken parmesan and both were top quality dishes, the place was busy but not rowdy/loud and we had a great time with a few drinks after our meal before returning home. Wouldn't hesitate to return

Nice - food and staff were lovely

I would like to review my recent Xmas party night at the Ship. The food as always was excellent, and as it was partly night there was Bingo to follow. As we all love Bingo we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately the guy calling was nothing less than a twit who liked the sound of his own voice and messing about. The beginning was OK, but by the 3rd game we were all getting very frustrated, we didn't stay until the end, by the 4th game most of the people had left. What we really found offensive were the off the scale lude jokes, ie I'm sitting in a low slump chair, OK if you have a long tongue. There were some older diners upstairs who he kept calling geriatric, I thought that was very rude. I am told that this person Is an area manager for the Ship company, not a very good recommendation. I'm not sure if this is normal behaviour or if this person was just very drunk!

Don't try and have a drink after your meal unless you want to stand at the bar (if you can find space). Food not exactly cheap

I love this warm homely pub , open fire, good food and staff. The beef wellington was missing the pate . But other than that I’d return again. A bit pricy though! I thought I was in London!

Lovely pub, great views. Been a few times. The last visit was disappointing. Ordered the Sunday roast, came out, luke warm, 3 dishes. Mentioned it. Apologies accepted. Didn't want it reheated in the microwave as suggested.

We have been coming to The Ship for years. We came last week for a birthday and it was as usual lovely. Decorated for Christmas, snug and welcoming. I had the cod, scallop potato and minted peas with curry sauce, followed by the chocolate and cherry pavlova which was amazing! The servers were attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend The Ship.

Spent a nice couple of hours there for lunch on Monday. Real ale on 2 pumps. Very cosy.

Upon visiting relatives, my cousin recommended this wonderful pub for somewhere to eat in the evening. From the moment of entering I can honestly say it's one of the best pubs I have ever visited. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming, the atmosphere was wonderful, the food and service was excellent. We had a wonderful relaxing time with family. Would love this to be my local! Wouldn't hesitate to return and would definitely recommend. Thanks to all staff who helped us during our visit.

Yet again another disappointing meal ....Friday afternoon 3pm ...took to our table and advised table service only ....had to get up to go to the bar for another drink ...only a few folk in the place .. why don't the employed waitress / waiter / servers walk round and check if your glass is empty ...and ask .. instead of talking / checking there mobiles ...? would you like another drink ...! ...food came luke warm mash ...luke warm veg ... and to top it all my beef wellington still had the plastic wrapped around the pastry ....no wonder it wasn't cooked ( the pastry ) ...beef inside was good tbh .. school boy stuff ....I won't be back ....shocking 😌

Good Sunday Roast. Hot tasty.. good service, staff attentive with a smile..apple crumble should be with a choice of custard or ?? Was not great !!! Overall will be back again to try something different...all smiles 🙂😃🙂 5 dinning

This is a traditional pub that serves food that would not be incongruous in a very good restaurant. We were a party of 14 celebrating a family birthday we had been before and knew we would get a decent meal with good service from friendly, motivated staff. Prices are reasonable too. We had various different dishes and all of us were happy. The sea bass is excellent as is the Beef Wellington, the Steak pie, the Caesar Salad etc. it is all recommended. My partner and I are returning on a Thursday to eat a lovely meal and then take part in the pub quiz at 2030 booking is necessary to avoid disappointment. Treat yourself and go to this lovely pub.

Went for a lunchtime works do. Short on time, so we had pre-ordered. Only had the Lamb Kofta off the summer menu - absolutely amazing. Fresh, tasty and large enough to be a full main. Had great service from all the staff. Would definitely go again.

Visited for the first time due to 'The Ship' accommodating a wake. Impressed with the service given, the buffet style food was very tasty, there was a good range of drink and it was in a nice setting. If passing again, we would certainly drop in.

Have been twice recently for lunch with a friend. Both times have been a great experience. We had fish and chips, well cooked, good quality. Friendly service and clean and well presented dining areas. It is apparently the oldest pub in the Fylde, according to Google. The ambience and the view over the countryside are very pleasing.

Sadly when our food arrived it was cold, however our waitress took the meals back. On her return with fresh hot meals everything was was fine, the food was delicious and service was very good.

I recently dined at The Ship at Freckleton and was incredibly impressed. The Beef Wellington and Chicken Curry were both exceptionally delicious . The stunning view added to the experience, creating a picturesque atmosphere. The staff were nice and helpful, enhancing the overall dining experience. Highly recommended for a delightful meal in a beautiful setting.

Having g had great food there before I was a little disappointed with the roast. Roast potatoes barely roasted. Way too much of one veg and very little of another. Didn't notice until I was telking about it later that the cauliflower puree was missing. The cauliflower cheese was over priced and had very little sauce.

Disappointing Lamb Henry and pathetic portion leaving us hungry and disillusioned. The lamb henry arrived in a soup bowl with only enough food to probably feed an 8 year old and as compared to the huge steak plate of fish and chips that arrived at the table next to us, I probably received 2 tablespoons of potatoes and 2 of veg and the very small lamb henry was tough, undercooked and stringy and at £22, it was really not worth it. The waiters both asked about the quality of the meal and ignored the responses when we told them the meal was not even average and when I asked where the rest of the meal was as I'd only seemed to have got half a meal, they glibly smiled and ignored the response. We are local and for 10 to 15 years, we went regularly and we came away satiated and ready for the next trip there - not anymore - we just avoid going and hope on the odd occasion we do that we will be pleasantly surprised; but again we can away disappointed and hungry

Disappointing this weekend family meal. 4 sunday roast beef dinners green veg hard unroasted frozen roast potatoes beef springy on paying the bill I commented to the manager and got a discount but attitude poor. Must say Harrison server was very good.

We'd heard good things about this restaurant/pub multiple times and decided to give it a try during our short stay at Ribby Hall. It was absolutely worth leaving the site for. The staff, especially one who seemed to be a duty manager, were incredibly attentive. The place is fantastic for children, boasts beautiful views from the upstairs area, and everyone was pleased with their meals and beverages. I chose the chicken penang, and it was outstanding, possibly the best I've ever tasted, especially with the added extra chilli for that perfect kick. We'll definitely be coming back in the next few months. It was worth every penny.

Great gastro pub. Worth visiting with family. Too quality fish and chips and the Cheese pie is top notch. Staff are really friendly and love dogs which is something we love about this place. We will be back soon.

We were provided with a round table that seats 15, which worked great socially. The food was amazing, and service was top notch. If you're interested in aircraft leaving/arriving at Warton, this is a great place for spotting with great food and drink.

Amazing food-really big portions, so don"t eat a thing beforehand!! Despite the place being really busy, service could not be faulted- staff keep on smiling and the food did not take long at all. I would recommend you book a table because it gets busy and there never appear to be many free (if you were to just walk in). Don't be put off by the prices either as The Ship is more expensive, but it is worth it. The standard of the food, staff and establishment is a lot, lot higher :) you get what you pay for!

We went here for a work Xmas lunch. It was great. Upstairs in the trailors round table is the place to be. Lovely view outside, grand round table with nice ship related decorations. The food was also very good. I'll be going back not as Xmas.

Went with my brother and sister and there partners for a rare catch up. Place very nice and food good 👍. One member of Staff a bit sharp when asked did they take "the blue light car" (as ex Fire Brigade employee (retired)) was a look and raised eyebrows As I paid for the food.!! (We decided to give more than 10% as a tip but when got the stern reply nearly didn't give anything!! as a bit taken a back )

Came here with my friend for dinner. Tried the festive menu. Food was absolutely beautiful. I had several allergies and dietary requirements and I was very thankful unlike most restaurants they didn’t turn me away, but took time to cook me a meal so I could enjoy with my friend. Thank you.

Had fish and chips the chips were terrible and the fish was under coked will not go back there, better pub food available at less cost

Proper food decent price nice surroundings

We were staying up the road at donkey creek camp site, and walked here with our dogs. Although it's November we were toasty warm sat outside with them under the heat lamp. Great atmosphere, snuggly and cosy and lovely drinks. We didn't eat but the menu looked delicious and food looked delicious too.

Bit pricey for pub food but a popular place and good with kids. Everyone seemed happy so take that rather than my assessment as I'm not a foodie.

First time there. We're very impressed, will go back again.

Had lunch with friends at the Ship, opted for a chicken & stuffing sandwich which came with salad & a jug of gravy. Very nice. It was very quiet, not much atmosphere but the staff were lovely. Could have been warmer, ended up putting my coat on.
