Visited for the first time due to 'The Ship' accommodating a wake. Impressed with the service given, the buffet style food was very tasty, there was a good range of drink and it was in a nice setting. If passing again, we would certainly drop in.

Have been twice recently for lunch with a friend. Both times have been a great experience. We had fish and chips, well cooked, good quality. Friendly service and clean and well presented dining areas. It is apparently the oldest pub in the Fylde, according to Google. The ambience and the view over the countryside are very pleasing.

Sadly when our food arrived it was cold, however our waitress took the meals back. On her return with fresh hot meals everything was was fine, the food was delicious and service was very good.

I recently dined at The Ship at Freckleton and was incredibly impressed. The Beef Wellington and Chicken Curry were both exceptionally delicious . The stunning view added to the experience, creating a picturesque atmosphere. The staff were nice and helpful, enhancing the overall dining experience. Highly recommended for a delightful meal in a beautiful setting.

Having g had great food there before I was a little disappointed with the roast. Roast potatoes barely roasted. Way too much of one veg and very little of another. Didn't notice until I was telking about it later that the cauliflower puree was missing. The cauliflower cheese was over priced and had very little sauce.

Been here twice in the last month having moved caravan nearby ....been shown to table and never been asked if we would like a drink ...young girls wander round ' looking like there doing a job ' ....even the guy behind the bar asked why we keep going to the bar ...First time fish pie full of bones ....second time Sunday roast average at best ...maybe 3rd time lucky ....

Absolutely spot-on all round- great service, value and the food was amazing. We had the two salads and there were enormous and delicious. The staff were terrific. Highly recommended

Disappointing Lamb Henry and pathetic portion leaving us hungry and disillusioned. The lamb henry arrived in a soup bowl with only enough food to probably feed an 8 year old and as compared to the huge steak plate of fish and chips that arrived at the table next to us, I probably received 2 tablespoons of potatoes and 2 of veg and the very small lamb henry was tough, undercooked and stringy and at £22, it was really not worth it. The waiters both asked about the quality of the meal and ignored the responses when we told them the meal was not even average and when I asked where the rest of the meal was as I'd only seemed to have got half a meal, they glibly smiled and ignored the response. We are local and for 10 to 15 years, we went regularly and we came away satiated and ready for the next trip there - not anymore - we just avoid going and hope on the odd occasion we do that we will be pleasantly surprised; but again we can away disappointed and hungry

Disappointing this weekend family meal. 4 sunday roast beef dinners green veg hard unroasted frozen roast potatoes beef springy on paying the bill I commented to the manager and got a discount but attitude poor. Must say Harrison server was very good.

We'd heard good things about this restaurant/pub multiple times and decided to give it a try during our short stay at Ribby Hall. It was absolutely worth leaving the site for. The staff, especially one who seemed to be a duty manager, were incredibly attentive. The place is fantastic for children, boasts beautiful views from the upstairs area, and everyone was pleased with their meals and beverages. I chose the chicken penang, and it was outstanding, possibly the best I've ever tasted, especially with the added extra chilli for that perfect kick. We'll definitely be coming back in the next few months. It was worth every penny.

Great gastro pub. Worth visiting with family. Too quality fish and chips and the Cheese pie is top notch. Staff are really friendly and love dogs which is something we love about this place. We will be back soon.

We were provided with a round table that seats 15, which worked great socially. The food was amazing, and service was top notch. If you're interested in aircraft leaving/arriving at Warton, this is a great place for spotting with great food and drink.

Amazing food-really big portions, so don"t eat a thing beforehand!! Despite the place being really busy, service could not be faulted- staff keep on smiling and the food did not take long at all. I would recommend you book a table because it gets busy and there never appear to be many free (if you were to just walk in). Don't be put off by the prices either as The Ship is more expensive, but it is worth it. The standard of the food, staff and establishment is a lot, lot higher :) you get what you pay for!

We went here for a work Xmas lunch. It was great. Upstairs in the trailors round table is the place to be. Lovely view outside, grand round table with nice ship related decorations. The food was also very good. I'll be going back not as Xmas.

Went with my brother and sister and there partners for a rare catch up. Place very nice and food good 👍. One member of Staff a bit sharp when asked did they take "the blue light car" (as ex Fire Brigade employee (retired)) was a look and raised eyebrows As I paid for the food.!! (We decided to give more than 10% as a tip but when got the stern reply nearly didn't give anything!! as a bit taken a back )

Came here with my friend for dinner. Tried the festive menu. Food was absolutely beautiful. I had several allergies and dietary requirements and I was very thankful unlike most restaurants they didn’t turn me away, but took time to cook me a meal so I could enjoy with my friend. Thank you.

Had fish and chips the chips were terrible and the fish was under coked will not go back there, better pub food available at less cost

We were staying up the road at donkey creek camp site, and walked here with our dogs. Although it's November we were toasty warm sat outside with them under the heat lamp. Great atmosphere, snuggly and cosy and lovely drinks. We didn't eat but the menu looked delicious and food looked delicious too.

Bit pricey for pub food but a popular place and good with kids. Everyone seemed happy so take that rather than my assessment as I'm not a foodie.

Had lunch with friends at the Ship, opted for a chicken & stuffing sandwich which came with salad & a jug of gravy. Very nice. It was very quiet, not much atmosphere but the staff were lovely. Could have been warmer, ended up putting my coat on.

We have visited here many times, The food and service have been fantastic. We went yesterday for a Sunday roast and I lost say it was lovely and this will be our new Sunday lunch spot. We also arrived with no reservation and we were seated after they went out their way to accommodate us. Thank you so much.

Beef Wellington was very poor, it was bland and appeared to be slow cooked shredded beef stuffed into a pastry. Completely of the mark. Wouldn't have any issue if it was a weather spoons etc, but I know this place can produce good food and is better than that.

Food was great but the whole experience was made by "Kieth" the waiter. He was so polite, attentive, nothing was to much trouble. He gave the level of service that you would expect in a 5 star establishment and the funny thing was, he wasn't even their usual waiter, he normally works in the kitchen where in my opinion he is wasted. He needs to be front of house. I've been a customer service manager for 8 years would be happy to have him on My team any day

Called here one weekday lunchtime. Superb food, all freshly cooked. Friendly and welcoming staff, great atmosphere, and superb views from the garden. There can be a bit of aircraft noise sometimes. Well worth a visit and highly recommended. Dog friendly areas inside and out. Doggy snacks are available as well. Ample car parking available.

We have only been once, food was fantastic, staff friendly and attentive. We are returning next week. Think this pub will be a regular visit for us. Dog friendly too .

Tuesday afternoon for lunch Excellent bacon chop and couple of pints of Moorhouses

Celebrated my wife's 56th birthday with my Mum and Mother-in-law. We all had a variation of Sunday lunch, vegetarian, beef and lamb. Food was delightful, home cooked and great portions, host was most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I would say it's the best pub on the Fylde coast, idyllic, welcoming, great menu....and my wife even got given a birthday card as we left 😀

Went for family meal (4 adults 2 children and 2 dogs) for my step dads birthday tonight. From the second we entered, staff greeted us and were so polite and welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend going. Worth every penny. The views are stunning 😍 and it's spotlessly clean inside and out. Dog friendly. Even the fur babies got a little treat from the staff. Beautiful place, outstanding food and lovely staff. Couldn't fault anything. Even left my parents there for the evening for the pub quiz (Thursday night). Absolutely 💯 recommend to go here if you haven't been already. We will certainly be returning very soon.

Had our wedding meal and reception afterwards at the Ship which is our local. The staff before, during and after the reception were superb, nothing too much trouble. Food was excellent as always, and the service perfect. Made our day.... thank you!

Had a family get together here on Saturday evening. The bar staff were efficient and polite, and once we'd sat at our table we were given plenty of time to make our menu selections. (You know how some places want you in and out so they can recycle the table? This wasn't like that at all). Each of our seven dishes were delivered in due course, nothing missing or incorrect and we all tucked in. More gastro than pub, nothing wrong with that but bear it in mind if you're thinking of just going out for a pint. Keep it up!

Only had a lite lunchtime meal as heading back home afterwards. Very help and we were a table for eight and all meals were excellent, also a very good view across the plains.

Great Sunday Lunch at the Ship today. The Restaurant Manager excellent as usual and all staff are trained to a high standard to provide continuity of service. The Sunday Roasts were excellent with plentiful Meat and fresh home cooked vegetables and yes Huge home cooked Yorkshire puddings. Having run hotels I find this small chain has a winning formula which provides the best food at a reasonable price and you would find it hard to beat it on the Fylde coast. Alex Hallett

This is a favourite pub of ours whilst we had house in Preston. With 4 previous visits over time, we paid a final visit on the weekend prior to house sale. It had a great atmosphere and service was outstanding. Menu is limited and very expensive and as other comment prob suitable for those with considerable disposable income, or a special treat. I admit, I had 2 large white wine (£19 - ouch), 2 diet coke, 2 starter, 2 main ( rissotto & lancashire pie) and 1 dessert, an eye watering £95. Food was outstanding except for uncooked shallots. Would definitely recommend as a nice treat.
